Samsung S21 vs Pixel 4a - Blind Camera Comparison - Flagship vs Budget (SD888)

What's up guys high here from high tech reviews. So today I bring you a simple head-to-head camera comparison between the brand new Samsung Galaxy s21 versus the Google Pixel 4a. So this is an unusual showdown between a flagship versus budget smartphone. The Pixel 4a can be picked up right now for around 350 and the s21 costs more than double the price at seven six nines. So you can buy two pixel four a's for that price. Now all we're going to do in this video is compare the next generation flagship camera system to a slightly older generation budget.

Camera and chances are. If you already have a pixel smartphone, you probably bought it for that brilliant camera and software processing. Now there is no competition between the two. When we compare the technical, specs and features the s21 wins straight away, but I guess that's expected based on the price, but let's find out how good the cameras are in practical usage. So this is a simple point-and-shoot scenario, comparing the photos and videos.

So let's get started. So, let's begin with a few photos now not going to say which phone is a or b at this stage, but let's see, if you guys can guess and of course I'll- let you know in the end, which one is which so this first shot is focusing on the leaves both shots. Look pretty good leaves are in focus with the background blurred a looks much greener than b, but b is actually closer to real life colors, so camera an is, giving us a slightly higher contrast, but which one actually looks better well, in my opinion, for this shot, I'm going to go for a so. I've put one point next to a to indicate it's one, the first round now in the second shot, we have lots of details to check out look at the trees in the background and the shadows in the water. It's a dull day, so not much to say about the sky.

But again the grass is greener and more natural at b and a has a slightly higher contrast so which one will you choose this time? I'm going for a again as I like how the overall photo looks, and I also like the darker shades in the trees. In the background both look great, but I'm going for a. Of course. This is completely subjective. So do let me know how you guys score it in the comments now here is the third shot, and you can see that there's not much separating the two looks equally detailed.

I can't really say that one stands out better than the other, so a point each would be the right way forward. So, let's see the next shot. So here we have portrait mode both doing quite well in terms of edge detection b. Does look slightly cropped in, but in terms of color accuracy, an is actually my natural skin color b is a hint to yellow. So I guess I have to give that point to a for portrait mode.

Now here is a close-up of a branch we're focusing on the chopped part. It does well to blur out the background and both cameras manage to stay in focus correctly and both shots. Equally, detailed one does not look better than the other, so they can both share a point each with this shot, so we're shooting 4k at 30 frames per second on both cameras. That is the maximum resolution supported on the Pixel 4a, whereas the Samsung Galaxy s21 can shoot in a much higher resolution, so 4k 60 and up to 8k. Now, first, let's talk about the microphones.

Both mics were great, but I think b edges it with a slightly better audio. So one point added to b now the actual video quality looked much smoother and more detailed in video b, including the color accuracy, video, a seemed to wash out the colors and was not as smooth now, both smartphones were set to 4k 30, and it was a dull cloudy day, but I have to give the point to b for producing the better overall video quality. Now, let's just check out some more 4k video at 30 frames per second, the audio will be constantly swapping over, and we will be testing out. The stabilization too. I've been using the Google Pixel 4a for quite a while.

It's a great all-round budget smartphone. It has a great camera, great video, great photos, it's just a decent phone for the price, so maybe you're, considering an upgrade you've. Seen the s21 you've seen the upgrades you've seen the beautiful design of the phone, but you want to know what camera is better. Well, that's why I'm making this video? This video is going to show us exactly which camera is better between the two. Now one would expect the s21 to be better, considering it's nearly double in price, but I guess we're going to have to wait and see when I get to the editing stage.

Now, of course, the Google Pixel does not have a wide angle lens and the s21 do you've got much better features in the s21, but for simple point and shoot videos and photos. What will give you the best result now for photos? It seems like pixels' software is way ahead than the competition and for video I think Samsung may have caught up, but this is just speculation. I have to get to the editing stage to find out exactly which one performs better. Alright, so quick stabilization test, I'm going to do a quick jog. So what do you guys think? Which one has better video stabilization? I think there's no doubt on this.

One b stabilization was smooth like butter. So b takes the point for image stabilization, so the score is currently even at five: five, it's now time for the night shots. So without even selecting night mode. I took these two shots in regular photo mode, and here are the results, so both quite impressive but b has totally stolen. The show it looks like b was taken in the daytime, so let's give a point to b straight away for that amazing low light shot.

So the next shot check out the lake and the small food hut with the lights on now you can see lots of grain in a and b just looks beautiful, amazing detail. Hardly any grain and this low light shot again is being taken in regular camera mode. So I'm not even using the night modes. So b gets another point for this one for sure, and here is some nighttime 4k video footage from both devices, and we are shooting 4k at 30 frames per second and, as you can see, video quality is pretty bad from both devices. Stabilization is all over the place.

Lots of grain, so neither device deserves a point for low light. Video footage. Okay. So let's switch on night mode on both devices, and here is the first real night shots. Pixel is absolutely known for its night mode so which one is the Pixel 4a and which one is the Samsung s21.

Have you guys guessed it right, yet now I will let you know very soon, but first, let's rate these shots? Now. Both of these photos look quite impressive, but if you have a closer look at the metal pillars in photo b, then you will find that they are much more prominent and detailed than a so b is going to be my pick for this nighttime. So there you have it guys that was my different type of camera comparison between the most popular Pixel 4a versus the brand-new device on the block, the Samsung Galaxy s21. So I wonder how many of you guessed it right. A is, of course, the pixel and b.

Is the s21 now do? Let me know in the comments what your scorecard looks like now. This is not a sponsored video. This was just my genuine test to see which camera is better for everyday use. Now forget about all those fancy advanced features. I wanted to test regular point and shoot videos and photos to see which one is better.

You saw for yourselves, and this is quite a subjective test, but the s21 is the overall winner now daytime shots. Pixel was slightly better. Video was all about. The s21 stabilization was also better in the s21, as was the audio and nighttime shots were surprisingly better in the s21. Now, of course, the s21 also has triple cameras and a massive library of features to go with it.

So should you upgrade to the s21? Well, the answer is yes absolutely and if you're wondering which version I have well, this is the snapdragon version. Snapdragon 888. I hope you guys found this video useful. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you all have a brilliant day. I'll see you guys in the next one.

You.
