Today, we've got news of some great improvements and some very unexpected changes to the Samsung Galaxy z fold.3. we've also got news that it may be coming sooner than we thought before we get started, though. Let me know down in the comments what country you're actually watching today's video from so the first story of the day is that the Samsung Galaxy's effort three will be coming earlier than we expected, and while you may be thinking that it could be the 28th of this month after Samsung announced a new unpacked event. Unfortunately, that's not the case that event is going to be for the new galaxy books and not for the fold 3 and for those in doubt, just check out the URL for their marketing images, which clearly show you that that's the case. The early launch news, however, comes from the elect who have stated that Samsung are aiming to unveil the galaxy's z fold 3, along with the flip 2 much earlier than usual, and then it's possibly going to be July. Well, this may be the target, though, as we know, there is a global chip shortage at the moment. So it's going to be interesting to see how this affects Samsung.

But next up we've got news that the battery in the Galaxy Z fold 3, is actually going to be smaller than its predecessor before you panic, though, there's really not too much in it, and the total capacity has reduced by just three percent, with a new capacity being 4 380 William hours, with better power efficiency from the latest system on chip. This should also be counteracted, and one of the reasons for a smaller battery in the z fold, 3 is believed to be that more space is going to be required internally for the s pen, as well as another, unexpected change in the same report from the elect it says that Samsung is reducing the battery size in order to accommodate the reduced display size of the Samsung Galaxy z fold 3. Now they state that the main display is going to be 7.5 inches and the cover display is going to be 6.2 now, of course, this is only a minor change, but one that will add portability to the phone. There's also rumors that the aspect ratio will be changing as well, which also is not bad news. The predecessor was 25 by nine, which looked great overall, but it was just a little too thin, leaving certain apps a little awkward to use if they can follow in the footsteps of Huawei, who recently released their falling phone with a 20 by nine aspect ratio on the cover display, then this is going to make the z fold 3 a much more versatile phone.

So that's all looking like it makes sense, but to throw another spanner in the works Chen tweeted to show his information on folding phones, which shows a main display of 7.7 inches and a cover display of 5.4 when it comes to the z fold 3. Now, even he had his reservations about these figures. A nice universe also chipped in it to say he has doubts about them too. So lots of conflicting information, and while I advise to take it with a grain of salt for now, the elect have been proving themselves time and time again, with reliable intel way in advance. Of course, the galaxy z4 is expected to be the first smartphone with an in-display selfie camera, so we're unsure.

If this had any impact on the display choice, but with the improved hardware, s pen, support and an in-display selfie camera, the Galaxy Z fold, 3 really is set to take folding phones to the next level. For those of you who are excited about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy z fold, 3 we're now going to run through the full specs design and the expected pricing for my regular viewers. You guys have already seen this so just skip to the next video, but if you're new here then make sure you hit subscribe, and we'll get right into it, the inner display is likely to remain a similar size. Considering we've already got trimmed down bezels. We can expect a 7.6 inch, dynamic, AMOLED display with a resolution of 1768 by 2208, and this will have a 120 hertz refresh rate. The front screen is likely to remain the same as well, which is a 6.2 inch. Super AMOLED with a resolution of 2260x816.

The biggest change here is, of course, can be the screen protection with 60 micrometer ultra-thin glass that not only helps with the durability, but should also provide a nicer touch experience for the user when it comes to the selfie camera. We've got no information, yet many reports and rumors are hinting at the first in-display selfie camera, but we've got no idea what sensor or lens Samsung are using for this on the rear. It's likely to be a triple or a quad camera setup. Now Samsung tend to keep things similar across their range, so I would expect the new camera module that we're seeing in the s range to be present, and it's likely that they'll be using the similar 12 megapixel sensors. Instead of going with the 108 megapixel hm2 when it comes to ram and storage, Samsung tend to push things high with the fold models, so I would estimate the Galaxy Z fold 3 to have 16 gigs of ddr5 ram.

This will be coupled with 128 256 or 512 storage. It's most likely going to be powered by the snapdragon 875 plus and the Enos equivalent, whatever they decide to name it, and there are rumors of a 5 000 William hour battery. But personally I don't see that happening they're likely to remain at a similar size. So, with improvements of space internally in new tech, I would estimate a minor increase, so maybe something like 4 600 William hours. It will, of course, ship with one UI 3, based on android, 11 and being so early on.

Color variants just cannot be confirmed. It will probably have as much water protection as they can, but we're unlikely to see any official IP ratings due to It's difficult to waterproof design, we're expecting an august launch and if things carry on as normal when it comes to the pricing, we of course know it's going to be a lot, so we can expect between 2 000 and 2 100 if we see the usual price increment now, of course, a lot of this is just sensible estimates on top of the leaks we have because we're so far away from launch, but I'll be keeping you guys up to date as any new news comes in.
