Samsung Galaxy Tab S7: I WAS WRONG! (Best Android Tablet 2020)

Hey everybody welcome back to tech odyssey, so today, I'm here to talk about the Samsung Galaxy, tab, s7 and how I was wrong, and I am not above admitting that I was wrong. I was very concerned about this tablet. Whenever it first came out because it doesn't have an AMOLED panel, it's got an LCD panel on the tablet and that was concerning to me coming over from the tab. S6, it directly influenced my decision to get the tab, s7 plus, which does have the 12.4-inch screen. It has the AMOLED, it looks beautiful, looks gorgeous all those amazing things and I felt like Samsung kind of ripped people off with this one. I was like you know what why in the world are they selling us like a 700 tablet, and then they're going to put our 600 tablet, and they're going to put an LCD screen in it like the tab, s line has always had an ammo led the tab, f6 s5e s4, like all these tablets, all had AMOLED.

So I really didn't like that and then, on top of that, the tab s7 plus also had the under the screen fingerprint sensor, whether you like that or not it's at least something that they can charge more money for, because it's like an enhanced feature well enter stage left the tab, s7 and I have been completely blown away by this tablet in lots of ways, and we're going to talk about that in this video. Before we get into that, though, I do want to say if this is your first time stopping by the channel. I appreciate you being here if you enjoyed the video, please hit the like and the subscribe button and the little notification bell if you want updates when new videos come out now, let's talk about the tab s7. So when it comes to the tab s7 like I said, I had a lot of reservations about it. I really felt like Samsung kind of cheaper out on us and wanted to charge us 649 MSRP, so you factor in tax and everything that's right at.

Like the 700 mark, I really didn't like the fact that they did that. Never mind the fact that maybe the LCD screen might have actually been okay, but I did have question marks out there about that, because I did have the tab s6 light, albeit yes, a TFT LCD screen, not the highest quality in the world, but we're talking about like a 250 300 tablets their folks. So when it came to this one I was like. I really don't want to pay for that. I don't, and also it had the fingerprint sensor on the side.

The side mounted one as opposed under the screen, so I thought to myself I'm going to get the best tablet that they have. If I'm going to trade in my tab s6. If I'm going to pay all this money, I'm going to get the best, I don't want to get one and have to settle and yeah. Maybe the screen will be nice on it, so this one you couldn't of course go see it in the store because of all the stuff going on in the world today, and it took them forever to get it out and then trying to get. You know a display model somewhere.

I didn't want to wait that long. So I was like you know what pass on the tab f7. I had an opportunity to buy this one right around Black Friday, for whatever reason Microsoft had this insane deal, where I got this no strings attached, no trading, no, nothing 350! This was the absolute best purchase that I've made deal wise this year. Absolutely insane. I can't believe I got it for 350 bucks you're not going to find it like that again folks.

So we don't really need to talk about the hardware here. That's not what this is. It's everything else other than the screen being an LCD versus an ammo led and the fingerprint sensors. Basically, I identical other than the screen size of the tab: s7 snapdragon, 865, plus the best android processor in production. Right now that you can get six gigabytes of ram, 120 gigabytes of storage.

This one has an 11-inch screen on it, and you can see here it looks gorgeous and that's what I thought as soon as I took this out of the box, I fired it up, and I was expecting to see like this, and I was like oh my gosh. This looks so good. I didn't think they made LCD screens this nice, I mean this to me- is nicer than even the ones I had on the iPads before. So that's the biggest thing here, and I think one takeaway to take here- I mean for lack of better words- is, you know, don't always judge products by their specs, because at face value with the LCD on this, even though, ideally, this screen size is better for me, because I'm doing handheld stuff all the time. The tab, seven plus is a very large tablet.

It's very heavy. I get tired of holding it just using in bed at night making thumbnails at one o'clock in the morning after I get done making my videos. So this is a very welcome form factor. It's lighter. It's thinner, it's easier to hold on to it's very much.

More a tablet- and for me, I like tablets, I like tablets with power, though I don't want a laptop replacement. I just want a pro quality tablet I can hold on to and use, but still do a lot of handheld stuff easily very easily type on the screen versus the tab, s7 plus, without having to use a split screen. I'm sorry, drawing on these with the stylus to do text messages and tweet is just really annoying, but I didn't want to get this almost exclusively because it didn't have AMOLED panel and turns out its beautiful. It's gorgeous it's bright. It's got great contrast.

Furthermore, it just looks really, really good, and I have zero complaints about it whatsoever and the LCD is actually more power efficient than the AMOLED anyway. So yeah, it's good and here's the kicker. The kicker with this tablet is the side mounted fingerprint sensor. It is so good. I do not like the one underneath the screen on the tab.

S6, I don't like it on the one on the tab. F7 plus. I did not expect this to be very good, but it is it's superfast, and it works so well, it's not like the one under the screen where it's like. Try it try it. Okay.

I failed like five times. Let me put my pin in and then the facial recognition still isn't very good. I mean it's not good on any of the tabs. I mean I, I guess it's cool, they put it in there, but it never really works the way that it's supposed to I'm just gonna, throw that out there. But I wanted to make this video to let people know.

Look if you're on the fence about getting the tab. S7 versus the s7 plus you're, worried about the AMOLED, don't be you're going to take this out of the box. Just like I did and be like wow. This looks perfect. What was I worried about, and you're going to save money? You don't have to get the gigantic one, and I just need to put an asterisk next to this, because I think people think I don't like it.

I absolutely love the tab. S7 plus best tablet. I've ever used in my entire life, but it's not always suited for tablet scenarios it's more suited for, of course, productivity work, professional level work, drawing using as a laptop replacement, hooking the keyboard up to it. It is an amazing tablet. The best tablet Samsung's ever made, but sometimes you need something: that's more tablet-like than desktop or laptop replacement like that's where this comes in, and it's definitely snappier better than the tab s6.

I got an amazing deal on it. It's just good and the thing with Samsung is they're, always lowering the prices on stuff. They always have trade-in deals. You can get some perfect deals on this. I have my tab s6, I traded it in for a second one to get my son for Christmas traded in the tab s6.

I got the second tab, s7 for 150 bucks, one of the easiest decisions that I made this year, and he was very happy with his birthday present. So I just wanted to make this video to tell you guys. Look if you're concerned about the tab. S7, don't worry about it, it's great, because if you didn't want to get the large 12.4 inch tab, s7 plus I don't blame you. This meets the needs of people who just want an easy to hold easy to use tablet.

That's not necessarily a laptop replacement or productivity device, but it can be now. Yes, you can get the folio keyboard for this as well. If you want to go that route, it's perfectly capable it's still a good size for a laptop replacement, it's still just as handy and capable as the tab, s7 plus that's the great thing, you're not losing anything in the performance or the productivity department. In this you just don't have as big of a screen and some people that's cool some people, they don't care so yeah, tab, s7, solid tablet. Definitely for me personally, is the best tablet of the year, and especially you can get it on a good price at a good deal gorgeous LCD screen.

The fingerprint sensor on this is so nice. I wish that they put this in the tab f7 plus now, so hopefully they can get their act together and do that for the next one on the tab, s8 or whatever it's going to be next year. But this right here solid tablet two thumbs up and don't worry about it at all whatsoever. It's great! So that's all I've got if you have any questions or comments. If you're curious about the tab, f7 I'm going to make more videos about it, you'll get a full review and all that stuff there.

But if you have any questions, feel free leave them down in the comment section I'll answer them I'll get back with you.
