Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Exynos 990 vs Snapdragon 865 Battery Life Test - Big Gap?

How's it going, everyone is get its boy welcome to another video and hope that you keep alert and safe wherever you are in the world. So here we have two Samsung Galaxy S 20 ultras, both identical to the naked eyes, but underneath is slightly different, namely the person to chip inside. So this one, on my right hand, here is running on Snapdragon 805 processor, and this one is running on X and as an IT processor, so depending on which market you buy them from you get something slightly different. The very fact that 6.9 inch display 40 megapixel front facing camera there, but they can shoot a hundred eight high resolution photos. They can zoom a hundred times, for example, and they can capture 8k videos, and it's, but if I'm 5g as well, so there's not much of a difference there at all in terms of in general specifications. Both processors are manufactured on seven, an ohmmeter process, so they're both designed to be very efficient, but there are slight differences in terms of the processor chips in there.

Let's get into it and see what we are talking about here. So, as mentioned, one is running on Qualcomm Snapdragon, X's, 5 processors and the other one is running on Enos 902 processor, both fabricated on seven nanometer process, but you might ask, but why the 991 here in the UK and some we've also available in some similar markets as well means the Samsung can make more money per devices by not having to pay welcome for that CDMA monopoly and just stick to GSM only. For example, my 5g snapdragon 865 version won't work in the UK because it's just not unlocked for that protein. For that purpose, both chipsets are paired with their own modems as well. So the Enos one uses a 5 to 1, 3 X and s 5g modem.

Whilst the Snapdragon uses the latest x, 55 5g modem in their forevermore I did some dig in some further digging into the chipset designs and that's of the Qualcomm and know more about, because I tend to ask them more questions and have more access there compared to what I do with Samsung. So, according to Samsung spec sheet stoke the 990 as a combination of two high-performance mongoose m5 cores at 2.7, 3 gigahertz, along with 2 cortexes, a7, 6 cores at 2.5 or gigahertz, and for energy efficient, a p45 cause at two gigahertz. There's a lot there to remember, while the Snapdragon 865 as two new cause. There's a single 877 core running at two point: eight four gigahertz, three, eight seven cause at two point: five: zero gigahertz with for a fifty-five course at one point: eight: zero gigahertz on the GPU side of things, the Enos 980 as a Mallet g77 MLM. So the 11 means shade of cores and a Snapdragon 865 as the Arena 615, then digging a little deeper.

The Snapdragon chipset even can even run much faster refresh rate compared to what the Exodus ones capable of doing at the maximum rate. So if the both devices were to max out, the Snapdragon would be ahead here if Snapdragon can also power, bigger sensors. So if Samsung were growing larger and that under an 8 megapixel, they can go even further with the Snapdragon versions. If you guys interested in how the both hold up in terms of gaming, so graphics performance camera, the link in description to my friend tech chaps video in terms of what he did and the comparison, so you can see others differ there as well. So far, it's apparently a six five devices is far superior, but let's not complain yet.

One thing I will say, though Easter on the paper on paper. One is obviously more powerful and more energy efficient than the other, but in the real world for regular use, you won't really notice a big difference between them, like if you see here, comparing how quickly they unlock from idle, even how fast the load applications different applications as well as how they load, how quickly the load apps from running. In the background, more tasks in on all that stuff, they very much very similar they're very much similar varies the same. There's not much difference here as well, but where we differ us is the battery life, which is what there's. But this video is all about, and before you get ahead of yourself in terms of telling me are you're a fanboy or whatever or arguing in the comments below what you.

What you need to remember is everyone uses their defiant devices very differently so, for example, to get this to do what I wanted to do in terms of testing them about to max out 120 Hertz display with lower res just to see how they hold up again, just to see how much they can handle that battery life. Also, for someone like me, I take a lot of photos. I use a lot of social media app site a lot of graphics-intensive applications on my phone. So again, my battery life will be a lot different to what you use at home if you use it differently to mine. So if things are fair and square I've taken out the SIM cards in both devices, because once five g1 is and so again it means that you might get some sort of differences there as well, so I've just left Wi-Fi on, and I'm running, an application that will help me drain the battery here and on top of them also running a 24-hour-long YouTube video, which I didn't even think, existed on there just to see how well he holds up.

So what does the application do? It leaves the torchlight on it, performs continuous integer and floating-point and double precision calculations to put a load on that CPU on both devices. It also performs parallel floating point multiplication to put a load on the GPU as well again, something that really drains the battery. You also continuously request GPS location to help drain the battery as well and continuously performs Wi-Fi scans and Bluetooth scans as well. He also shows the battery level as the test is carried out and battery temperature and I also got my temperature gone out to see the overall temperature performance on both devices as a test is going on again just a caveat as well. This is not scientific in any way, shape or form.

It's just something experimental for me just to see how all that hold up against each other for I detest. The Exodus was lagging behind in smaller dosage, so not drastic at all. Leading me to think it's not as bad as you might think. However, where you start to see a drop is the last leg of the test where the a65 is left with we left with 10% of battery and still go in, but a night in just dies at this stage. So, yes, the 865 performs better in terms of battery life, so food for thoughts when looking to purchase the s2 any ultra or the s20 in general.

A statement from Samsung according to some mobile, a really well known, Samsung focus website shows that Samsung is quite ignorant load to this experience that we speak off. The statement reads: the Galaxy S 20 is a smartphone. That's been reimagined to change the way you experience the world and, depending on the region, the Galaxy S to any wall, either ship with the Enos 980 or the snapdragon 865. Both the Exodus and Snapdragon processors go through the same strict and rigorous real-life test in the scenarios in order to deliver a consistent and optimal performance over the entire lifecycle of the smartphone I. Think absolutely not because the performance is definitely not consistent, whether it's camera performance, graphics, performance battery life performance, so I, don't know what Samsung has been testing here to prove this point at all.

The battery drain and app aside as well I even ran my s, 20 ultra Enos version wit hundred 20 Hertz at full, HD, plus I unplugged at 8:00. In the morning with me running social media emails calls WhatsApp photography even with no gaming and by 7:00 p. m. I was on 8% and yeah. That was not good enough.

Anyway. That's it from me in terms of these tests. I hope you guys have enjoyed it. Let me know what you think in the comments below including your battery life experience, because I know everyone's been experienced differently, shape or form us in our my Twitter feed, so drop them in the comments below I'll leave. I'll leave some links in the description.

If you guys want to do further, dig in and see what other research has been done online see if you guys want to check out each other as well.
