Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Camera Review With NEW UPDATE!

Hey, what's going on everyone Josh can you own is here, so I finally got that new update on my Samsung Galaxy s, 20 ultra? That was not only supposed to improve picture and video quality, but was also supposed to fix that autofocus issue that tons of people were having with the cameras on this device, including myself. So today, we're going to do a little camera review, but these cameras to the test and see if the update actually improved picture and video quality and most importantly, fix that autofocus issue that everyone was having with this device. Now I am NOT the best photographer out there, but I do know what I like and what I don't like. So we're going to go ahead and take a couple sample photos and videos with both the rear and front facing camera does test out the quality see if it has improved and then also test out that autofocus issue soap, let's go ahead and get started okay, so the first thing I want to start off with is at the autofocus to see if the issue has actually been fixed through the update on this device. So basically, what I'm going to do is just do a little quick, point-and-shoot point, the camera at the subject and see how long it takes to focus before I actually take that photo and what we're gonna start off with. Is this little red stem popping out right here? Probably not the easiest subject to focus on and take a picture of, but we're going to go ahead and do it anyways to test out this autofocus and see if it's been fixed.

So here we go three two one boom. Okay, so it actually did focus a lot faster than before. Let's go ahead and take a look at the photo here, I'll pop it up on the screen and as you can see, it did capture a good amount of detail, and it also gave it kind of like a natural both effect in the back without actually having to use that live focus mode. So it actually focused a pretty fast. But this is just the first test: let's go ahead and go try to take a picture of another subject to see if its autofocus is just as fast okay.

So this time we're going to try out something that should be a lot easier to focus on really fast. So let's go ahead and try it out three two and that one actually did focus really fast, but the shutter took a while to actually take the picture. I'll go ahead and post the picture up right here and, as you can see, it actually captured a lot of detail in this photo, and it focused on it perfect. So I'm actually really happy with the quality of this photo right here, but let's go ahead and try out one more okay. So next up is this fire hydrant right here? We're just going to go ahead and do it in three two one here we go, it looks like it's focused boom so that one actually focused pretty quick too.

It's going to take a look at the picture. Let me zoom in a little here see if it captured all the detail and yes, it actually looks perfect, captured a lot of detail in that fire hydrant. So I'm actually really happy with this photo. But you guys, let me know what you think down in the comments sections below so as you can see, the autofocus has definitely improved, but this doesn't go to say that it's 100% fixed because, as you can see, it still takes just a little of time to focus, but it's definitely a lot faster than before. This update, and I'm sure more updates are going to keep coming to improve these cameras even more especially that autofocus to get it on par with something like the galaxy s, 20 plus, which has that dual pixel autofocus, which is pretty much almost an instant autofocus and the galaxy s 20 ultra, is just not quite there yet, but hopefully we are on the right track to get there now.

I do want to go ahead and try one more thing: I got my galaxy buzz plus right here. Basically, all I want to do is just throw them right up in front of the camera and see how long it's going to take to focus on these. So here we go three two one boom and that was almost an instant focus. I, don't know if you caught that here on camera, but let me go in to throw the picture up right there and, as you can see, it actually got a lot of detail out of this photo, giving it a nice both effect in the background as well and I, think it did a perfect job at focusing on my galaxy buzz plus right here. So, as you can see, autofocus is not doing too bad with this new update.

But what I want to do now is go out. Take some more photos post them up one by one here, for you guys and like I said I want you guys to be the judge of the overall picture quality. Let me know what you think down in the comment sections below and then after that we'll go ahead and take a look at video all right. So I am now on the front-facing camera of the galaxy s, 20 ultra just doing a quick, little 4k video test here to see if quality has actually improved. Since of the update, if you haven't seen my 4k video test with this device before the update, I'll link it down in the description below in case, you want to check that out.

So you can compare the two but like I said, this is just a quick 4k video test. Let me go ahead and pan around here a little you all. Let me know what you think, in my opinion, honestly I think it looks just a little sharp I think they can bring the sharpness down just a little, but other than that I think the picture quality actually looks perfect, but you all. Let me know what you think: let's go ahead and check out the rear facing camera. Okay, so we are now on the rear facing camera.

Family got 4k, 30 frames per second. This is all 100%. A handheld and I am just doing a nice steady walk here. So let me know what you think about stabilization I'm actually going to do a little of jogging here. So we can really check out that stabilization.

There we go there. We are. Let me go ahead and pan around here a little see how well captures the clouds in the sky. Looking perfect. Now, I, don't think I see any focus hunting going on like before.

So it looks like that was fixed when it comes to video I'm going to have to go back and watch the footage just to be sure but you all. Let me know if you see any focus on ting going on while I'm panning around here, but so far it is looking good. So this is 4k 30 frames per second, let's go ahead and check out some night video. So this is just a quick 4k low-light video test with the rear facing camera. With the new update that was supposed to improve these cameras.

Now I have already done a low-light 4k video test with this device, but, like I said, this is what the new updates. So, if you haven't checked that video out yet go check that out and then come back to this one, and let me know if you think the quality has changed at all. If you see any differences, this is just a quick test. We're doing here, I'm go ahead and pan around a little. Look at these palm trees up here there we go, let's go on and check out stabilization I'm, just going to jog a little here we go now I'm, just using a small handheld tripod, so nothing special there.

We go that's going to walk out to the street over here. So you can see the streets are completely empty. Let him pan around a little there we go in a jock for you one more time, so we can really check out that stabilization do a little of a faster run here and there you have it. So this is a quick 4k low light video test with the new update. Let's go ahead and check out the front-facing camera alright, so we are now on the front-facing camera recording at 4k in a very low light situation.

As you can see here, I mean I got a couple lights here around me, but for the most part it is a very dark, so I'm, just gonna kind of walk around here a little. So we can check our stabilization. What It's going to be like when filming at night with this front-facing camera, please excuse my hair. It is all kind of messy right now. It is very late at night, when I'm out here doing this, video I'm going to go ahead and jog around a little.

So we can really check out that stabilization. We know what you think there we go ahead and pan around here, a little like I said this is, after the new update for these cameras that was supposed to improve these cameras. So yeah. Let me know what you think down in the comments sections below of what you think the quality is like of both the rear-facing camera and the front-facing camera. So there it is checking out the new camera update for the galaxy s 20 ultra.

What do you guys think? Do you guys think this update was enough to bring these cameras up to where they need to be, especially when it comes to that autofocus? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments sections below like I said you are all the judge, so I would love to know your thoughts.
