Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Vs Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra! (Comparison) (Review) By Simple Alpaca

Welcome back everyone we're going to be doing another comparison today between the newly released Samsung Galaxy note, 20 ultra and the newly released kind of Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra now. Both of these phones are kind of competing for one another. In terms of the know the biggest flagship phones, you can get now in the brand-new market. I still think the s20 ultra is a little more expensive than the note 20 ultra. However, the s20 ultra has actually gone down in price quite a bit, so instead of the whatever 1300 or whatever it was now it's about a thousand dollars which is still insanely expensive, like that's supposed to be a good deal, but you could probably swing by and get a s20 ultra for cheaper than a no 20 ultra. As at this point.

But if you're watching this a couple of months, even a couple of weeks later, things can change now I'll leave both of these linked down in the description below. So you can get them from there and help support the channel. At the same time, now, body, wise and starting off with the screen I'll go and start off with the s20 ultra. This thing has a 6.9 inch, dynamic, AMOLED display it's 1440p and overall it's a perfect panel. I never had any problems with it.

I think it looks very good. You have that hole, punch display. So this thing, just it just looks like a mean aggressive machine. Now, one little thing and one little gripe. I've had with Samsung their s20 ultra wallpapers looked way worse than the note 20 ultra wallpapers.

So I don't know what's going on there, I know you can just download the wallpapers, but I don't know what they were trying to do with the ultra or the s20 ultra. Now, a really cool thing that you have with the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra that you also have in the note 20 ultra is that 120 hertz refresh rate, so you can actually go, and you know up in that little screen refresh rate on the s20 ultra and the note 20 ultra, and that is an extremely cool thing that you have on the note 20 ultra. You have a 6.9 inch, dynamic, AMOLED display as well, and this one is also 1440p now. The way they fill in the hand are going to be a little different on both on the note 20 ultra, it's a little more squared off where the s20 ultra are a little more rounded in terms of the edges, so just kind of keep that in mind, I feel like the s20 ultra feels a little better in the hand, but the note 20 ultra kinds of looks better. In my opinion, the same hole punch display the same exact setup.

You also have the 120 hertz refresh rate there too, which is really cool so in terms of the way they look and the way they know, act in the front, they're almost exactly the same, but it's totally up to you, which one do you like, but in terms of where they feel and look and everything they're going to be almost the same in terms of the front they both have USB type c. The note 20 ultra does have that s pen advantage which is really cool. So if you like that, you can go for it, the s pen has been around for a very long time. It's basically a stylus, I'm sure a lot of you guys know about it. So if you like it, you can go grab it from there.

The note 20 ultra has that advantage and on the back, you have glass backs on both, but I think the note 20 ultra actually has this kind of you know: frosted glass back a little. It's not quite the glass back that we have in the s20 ultra, but it still feels perfect, like I actually like this and prefer it over the s20 ultras. To be honest, the standard note 20 has a trash glass plastic back whatever it is. It's not good at all, but the note zone ultra does feel perfect, and you have those camera modules, and I'll go ahead and hit on them in a second, but they're honestly, very, very interesting. It's a quadruple, camera setup kind of on the s20 ultra, but a triple camera setup on the note 20 ultra, so totally up to you, whichever one you like, but I'll hit on those eventually later on.

They both have IB certification, ip68 dust, water resistant, so they can take. You know some splashes here and there both have wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and they're almost exactly the same phone. When it comes down to it, you know they're both kind of competing in the same range. I truly do believe. Maybe the s20 ultra has some advantages, but the note 20 ultra also has that s pen and that's totally up to you whether you like it or not me personally.

In terms of the front, I feel like the note 20 ultra may be the better looking one in my opinion, but also the s20 ultra, is still a very, very good-looking phone as well. So in terms of that, that pretty much covers it and moving on to the software, both of them started off on android 10 and both of them had some really, really good news, which are they're both going to be getting an extra year of software support. So, instead of ending, I think on android 12 they're going to be ending off at android 13, which is going to be a humongous advantage and something that you know Samsung I've been kind of saying Samsung was going to do for a while, but they eventually did so. You can pick up this phone today and not have to. You know worry about anything later on in terms of the software standpoint for a couple of years, but that doesn't mean everything is perfect and one of the biggest disadvantages for both of these phones is probably the skin over the software.

Furthermore, you know, I still don't know why Samsung purposely skins their software. This much it's like a completely different android version. It feels like, whenever I compare this to something that's like on the Google Pixel, but I can tell you something like the note 20 ultra and s20 ultra. If we can get custom ROMs on here and everything that would be amazing, maybe you can on the Enos versions, I don't know, but you can always do a custom launcher which I would always recommend. You have all those cool gesture based designs too.

So I think throwing a launcher on these would be great, but in terms of a software standpoint, you're going to be getting the same, exact longevity one isn't going to be lasting longer than the other. Once the s20 ultra gets a softer update, I'm 99 positive, the note 20 ultra is also going to be getting a software update around that same time as well. So in terms of software that really pretty much covers it. Up now, hating on the performance, the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra has the Qualcomm snapdragon 865 chipsets an outscore CPU and arena 650 GPU, and there were three different models of this phone. The bottom two models have 12 gigs of ram.

The top tier model has 16 gigs of ram, so keep that in mind. The top tier model has 16 gigs of ram or in the Samsung Galaxy note, 20 ultra. We have the Qualcomm snapdragon 865, plus chipset, an outscore CPU and arena 650 GPU and 12 gigs of ram on all the models. So, technically speaking, if you get the top tier model of the s20 ultra you're going to be getting more ram than on the top tier model of the note 20 ultra. So keep that in mind.

If you're getting the bottom models, it doesn't really matter they're going to get the same ram, but that's very weird that they put less ram on the note 20 ultra meaning the s20 ultra, would eventually and essentially be the better performing phone. I think at the end of the day, in terms of ram management and just performance as a whole, but the note 20 ultra, I think currently right now is probably the faster phone, but that's mostly because the s20 ultra, you know, obviously doesn't have the 865 plus. But it's really not that big of a difference, if I'm being honest but just to be on the safe side. The note 20 ultra is probably going to be a little faster. Now, whenever I used anything with the s20 ultra, it was extremely fast, like I'm, not even joking, one of the fastest phones, I've ever owned in my life as soon as I click something it's almost on.

It's like completely fast. It's not the smoothest experience, and neither is you know the note 20 ultra, but I think it's a great performing phone really anything you do with it anything you mess with it. Furthermore, it's going to be perfectly fine, and I think it's a great performing phone still and the notes on the ultra is more or less the same. Furthermore, it's you know great performing. There's really.

I mean it gets harder and harder to find differences between these because they're such great performing phones and the fact that they have that 120 hertz refresh rate on both is really cool, and I find that to be one of the biggest advantages for both of these phones. So, in terms of that and in terms of performance, I mean the note 20 ultra, I compared it to a couple of their phones. You know- and I found it to be- a really fast phone ram management seemed to be pretty good on it as well, which was perfect but again, at the end of the day, you're getting more ram from the Samsung Galaxy, s20, ultra top tier model and on the top two models of the note 20 ultra. So that really pretty much covers it up there now hitting on the cameras. This is where things are a little interesting, a little different on both on the s20 ultra, like I said, kind of quadruple camera setup, mostly like a triple camera setup.

You have 108 megapixels, wide angle, lens 48, megapixel, periscope, telephoto lens a 12 megapixel ultrawide sensor and that 0.3 megapixel depth sensor. Where the Samsung Galaxy note, 20 ultra has a 108, megapixel, wide angle, lens 12, megapixel, periscope, telephoto lens and then a 12 megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and you don't have a depth lens on the note 20 ultra, but I'll definitely tell you. Quality of the cameras are going to be great you're not going to feel like one is way worse than the other one. The only real advantage, I think, with the s20 ultra, is the higher megapixel count and that periscope telephoto lens, but I still think the note 20 ultras camera is really, really good as well. I feel, like you know, with the s20 ultra, that's like the original, like crazy camera, that just came out with that module and everything, and I feel like with the note 20 ultra, maybe some of that, like hype, kind of went away, so maybe we're kind of used to it.

But I still think the note 20 ultras camera is perfect too. You can do 4k 60 on both have the capability of doing 8k, video as well, which is a huge asset for both of these. So, in terms of the front camera that pretty much covers it now on the front, you have a 40 megapixel sensor on the s20 ultra, which I don't know why they did that and then a 10 megapixel sensor on the note 20 ultra both can do 4k 60, and I honestly think in terms of the camera, both are going to be more or less the same, but they're still going to be perfect sensors. At the end of the day, now ending off with the battery life on the s20 ultra, you have your 5 000 William hour battery, where, on the note 20 ultra, you have a 4500mah battery and in my opinion I definitely do think that the s20 ultra will have the better battery life and this kind of comes down to a couple different things, but it mostly has to do with you know the bigger battery. Honestly, that's like 95 percent of this decision.

Now you can probably swing by. I mean you'll, probably get almost the same. I mean when you're getting these big batteries. It's almost the same. I'll be honest.

You might have like an extra like hour of standby time, or I don't know like the best way to describe it, but you'll definitely get better battery life from a phone like the galaxy s20 ultra than on the note 20 ultra, but you can also save a lot of battery life on both of these phones by turning off the 120hz refresh rate and kind of you know, you can save a lot of battery that way as well. So that's kind of taking off more features. You know that's kind of pointless, but in terms of battery life, I'll definitely tell you. The s20 ultra probably wins there now, honestly to kind of sum up this comparison and answer the question you know which one should you pick up? Let's say you walk into Best Buy you walk into T-Mobile ATT whatever, and you want to pick up one of these I'll be honest. I truly think that the galaxy s20 ultra is probably the better phone between these two you're, getting, I guess more bang for your buck, you're, getting a tremendous phone, great cameras, and I'll be honest if the s20 ultra was a 10 out of 10.

The not weening ultra is like a 9.7 out of 10, like these things are very close, and I honestly think there's really not that big of a difference, if you like the s pen and go for it, but me personally, I would probably get the s20 ultra but, like I said, if the no tony alter is more playing to you go ahead and pick it up, be my guest, so that really pretty much covers it up there.
