The Rebel 10x bringing some truly insane hardware for this price point: a budget phone, but some firsts for read me never before have they included an AMOLED display in a phone this price, but we're getting it in this phone and also confirmed today, another first for Xiaomi, and that is 13 times zoom in this phone and optical image stabilization. That is another first for red me up until this year they had never used optical image stabilization in any one of the red meat branded phones, the very first phone to get. It was the flagship for red me, the K, 30 Pro, and now we get it in a budget phone as well confirmed by red meme and shall meet themselves 30 times zoom range, so we can expect a zoom camera, at least in the pro version. This is a series of phones, and we know there is a pro version and non-pro version, at least but optical image stabilization for a budget phone like this is really, really good and the first time ever we're getting it from red meat. We also get confirmation that the AMOLED panel, that they're using in the 10x probe at least, is a Samsung panel, so perfect quality for sure. There's, nothing about refresh rates, though officially from Redmi and again at this price.
Maybe we have to assume that is. Is a 60 hertz panel, definitely with an AMOLED more expensive. Trying to keep the cost down. I would expect 60 Hertz, we don't know for sure, but considering they haven't said anything we assume 60 years. We also get our first live images of the phone.
We know a few different things now. Firstly, that the selfie camera is in a notch in the middle, not a cutout, not a hole punch, but an u-shaped notch, pretty small. Nonetheless, today we also got loads of images and sample images from the phone shared by it. Read me officially that shows what they were, calling lots of AI functions and also this light effect function. This is done on the phone by using really long exposures and if you have a light source, you can make these really cool effects, and we also get some other sample images from some more AI functions like this one which changes the color of the building.
So even if you take the same photo, you can change the colors quite a lot. I guess this will be some automatic features in the camera app of the photo of the live phone, though of the 10x. There is a laptop there that is a MacBook, so I guess even Xiaomi. When they're doing these things use a MacBook, even though Xiaomi and read me do make laptops, and even at the 10x launch event read me will be launching a new laptop as well, but I guess for their own work. They used MacBooks and not their own laptops, and we know the pro version at least will have a quad camera and as we're getting that long, zoom range, we can expect a zoom camera on there.
So you would expect a main camera and ultra camera and a zoom camera unless they're getting 30 times, zoom off the main image sensor, which would be quite a lot of digital zoom. So we can expect three really functional cameras and there may be a depth sensor or macro sensor to finish off ICH were camera system. Also in the news, Poco m2, it's happening, it's been leaked, more or less lots of things still unknown, but it looks like it's coming, and it could be another rebrand. Another rebranded Reyna products, one for one rebrand, and I'm, not sure how I feel about that. It has been registered and listed in a number of different places and the model number is M 2003 j6 CI, which matches up almost exactly the same as a number of red me products in the note 9 series: please Paco, please don't do it, please don't rebrand another phone.
It looks like they're going to I. Guess this year is going to be the year of the rebranding and Paco is doing this, but I hope Paco do come out of this. Once they've launched a few products and start making some products of their own with their own designs and their own identities, rather than just putting a different label on the same thing, let me know your thoughts on that as well and I think I know the answer: do you want Paco to make something really new and different, or are you happy with them putting a different logo on the same thing, let me know in the comments, but anyway, that is your tech news for today subscribe for the latest tech news and videos. That's it for now. I'll see you in the next one.
