Pixel 3 XL vs Pixel 5 camera comparison in 2021! Who will win?

Hi everyone: this is JD your gadget review friend. Today we will have a camera comparison between pixel 3 or pixel 3xl and pixel 5. Pixel 3 XL was released two years ago, while pixel 5 is the latest flagship phone of google. We will compare both photos and videos and see what the difference are and who's better. Who will win? Let's find out hi everyone. This is JD.

Your gadget review friend today we're checking the video stabilization of both Google Pixel 5 hi everyone. This is JD your gadget review friend today we're checking the video stabilization of both Google Pixel 5. On our first picture. It's a tie. I don't see any difference on this next picture.

It looks the same until you zoom in you will see that the text on pixel 5 is sharper than pixel 3 XL, again, no difference on the shot. Both are crisp and sharp. On this picture, you will see flaring on the lower left portion and as we zoom in pixel 5 handled it better on this next image. There's a little depth of field applied, but as we zoom in pixel, 3 XL just cut the whole microphone while pixel 5 has a gradual blur, as you can see, on the gold-plated screw. It's a tie on this picture.

Both manage highlights. Well, it's a telephoto shot and both images are sharp. As you can see on the writing, I don't see any difference on this image. Both photos looked natural, and the colors were true to life. Pixel 3 XL rendered a bluish tint, while pixel 5 was the exact color of the keyboard on this picture.

Same story of the lens pixel 3 XL has flaring while pixel 5 handled it really well. On this next shot, we will demonstrate the extra ultra-wide lens of pixel 5. Both have wide lens and telephoto, but only pixel 5 can give you the ultra-wide shots same with this photo. I mean pixel 5 gives you a lot more space to work on and gives you a different perspective of the scene. Here's the ultra-wide on this next shot.

It's pitch black and I actually shot this thinking. There might be light involved, but same result, I love how pixel 3 XL handled this photo as pixel 5 rendered a cold and bluish tint. These shots were taken as I was walking, because I wanted to see what area will be focused, and both phones did pretty well of focusing on the three both phones handled. The highlights really well, as I was looking for any flare from the sunset, and there were none, I'm using the rear camera on the shot and pixel 3 XL is soft, while pixel 5 is sharper and a screamer background blur same story with the selfie camera. Pixel 5 is sharper, but both had great background separation.

Different story on the hair, as pixel 3 XL, is more detailed, and I noticed some noise on pixel 5. I didn't notice any difference on knight shots, as both produces somehow noisy, but acceptable photos same on this shot. Both are great, but the sky color is stronger and bluer on pixel 5. , it's a personal preference. I took this video to show you variation of lighting conditions and how the sensors react and adjust.

I think pixel 3 XL is better adjusting to lighting conditions, as it has dedicated image processor we're going to test the stabilization of the camera. When running, I also tested the video recording on dark conditions and pixel 5 is sharper and the active mode is really great check this out. So what is our verdict? I think both phones were great. A lot of similarities on how they process, photos and videos. Pixel 5 is just way better handling, flares and shakiness.

It is sharper on portraits and also has this extra ultra-wide for wider perspective. While you can count on pixel 3 XL on extreme dark conditions and lighting variations, all in all pixel 5 camerae is more versatile and confident. Pixel 5 is the winner.
