OnePlus 9 Pro VS Xiaomi Mi 11 Camera Comparison

So who's gonna, win between the Xiaomi mi 11 and the new OnePlus 9 pro. Let's find that out in the video hey. What's up, it's always me johnny and today, as I said before, in the intro, we are gonna, compare these two new smartphones and there are the new OnePlus 9 pro and also the Xiaomi mi 11 that I had now for maybe more than a month. So in this video we are gonna, see how they compare in the photo side and also in the video side. And of course there is a little of uh price difference, because the OnePlus 9 pro right now is a little more expensive than the Xiaomi, but they are pretty much the same price. So for these two smartphones I already did the review.

You can check the link right here, and I will leave you the two links of the videos. So if you wanna just watch that just click the link and leave a comment down below, of course, if you want to see who wins this battle, we can say just watch all the video and see who wins a little disclaimer before starting the video. This is all my personal opinion. Of course, there are a little of objective differences between the phones, but most of all are just subjective. So keep that in mind, so we're gonna start with a photo comparison, and I just did a comparison only on the pointed shoot mode.

So you just pick the phone. You just hit the shutter button and that's it so, no pro mode, no raw and no other features of these two phones, so like the 108 megapixel mode on the Xiaomi, for example, and by the way these two phones are both compatible with these modes. But we are not going to go through that these shots are taken in different condition like direct sunlight and some shadows, and also some poor lighting like a cloudy day for every shot that you're going to see in this video. I just used for the first, the main sensor. Then the ultra-wide sensor and then the zoom cameras.

So to start we are going to talk about the main camera, so I'm going to show you some main camera shots of both of these phones, and I thought in this area the winner will be the OnePlus 9 pro because it is in collaboration with castle blood. So it is meant to be a phone that shot like mostly steels and with the collaboration with azerblad. As I said, it should be a better one, and they have different sensor, because the OnePlus is just 50 megapixels and the Xiaomi mi 11 is 108 megapixels, but that isn't a very big difference, because the big difference is, of course, in the software, and in these examples you can see the differences between these shots, and you can see the camera. Color are mostly natural on the mi 11, and also you can see that on the OnePlus 9 pro there is a little too much of a digital sharpening. That causes like a bad images.

If you zoom in you can see it better and one more thing that I said also in the OnePlus 9 pro camera review, is that it struggles. Actually, with the background, when you take a photo of a close subject to the camera, you can see that the background is actually a little too fake, and it causes also a little of over sharpening. So you can see there is like fake, and you can see the difference between this and the 11 and the mi 11 is more natural, so it just feels more real. Then, of course another advantage that has the mi 11 is, of course, the digital zoom that you can do on the images, because these images are taken in the 108 megapixel sensor. So, of course you will have more details and more material.

We can say so. You can zoom a little more versus the 50 megapixel sensor on the OnePlus 9 pro then, for the super wide angle lens you can see. We have a different situation because here on the OnePlus, we have also a 50 megapixel sensor and on the Xiaomi we have a 13 megapixel sensor. So we can see already the difference between these two sensors, and we can say that on the OnePlus we still have that over sharpened images. So if you still zoom in the images you can see this over sharpening, but you have more details for sure in the OnePlus images.

This difference is very much evident in low light situation because with the OnePlus lens, you can for sure take more light in your sensor and so that results with some better images, of course. But one thing that I've mentioned also in the OnePlus video for the camera is that when you're using the ultrawide camera, it has some struggles with white balance, and here we have like a warmer what balance. So, if you're, taking a shot with a normal lens and the ultra-wide, you can see that the ultra-wide is a little warmer. It's not a problem, it's easily fixable in post-production or maybe with a softer update in the future. But it's a little issue and so keep that in mind.

Then talking about zoom cameras, and here we have to say that on the mi 11 we don't actually have a zoom lens, because if you can see right here on the phone, you have only the telemark lens that is actually 5 megapixels. It's only for macro shots and maybe a little of zooming, but the software just mix these two lenses, so the zoom lens and the main lens to give you like just a 2x zoom. So it's not a real lens for zooming, but you have this possibility. Instead, on the OnePlus, you have the dedicated lens for the zoom shots, and it's actually an 8 megapixel lens, and it is for 3.3 x images. So a little more than the Xiaomi and of course you have the advantage that it is dedicated.

Only for that- and here we have some surprising results because on the 11 shots that I personally preferred you can see that they look a little more real. Instead, on the OnePlus lens, you can see that the results are not very good, because the images is too soft, and actually here we have also a struggle with the white balance, as you can see in the picture, maybe not in every picture, but there is a slightly green tint on every photo that I took it's a little strange. Maybe here we need also a softer fix, or maybe you can just fix that in post-production. Of course, on the video side, we have pretty much the same situation. If you talk about color science, you have to keep in mind that on the mi 11 we have more features for the video like we have the pro video mode that we don't have on the OnePlus, and actually we can shoot in log on the mi 11, and there is a very cool feature that actually probably has only this Xiaomi and for the filmmakers is a very useful thing.

They can shoot both in 8k. If you are interested to that, the OnePlus should also in 8k 30 fps, and it is stabilized you can shoot in 4k 120 fps, it's not stabilized, but it is a plus because on the mi 11 you can shoot only up to 4k and 60 fps and of course you can shoot 8k, 24 or 30 fps. One more thing that I don't know. Why is that on the OnePlus? But you do not have the ability to shoot in 24 fps, but the minimum of fps is just 30 fps. I don't know why, but there is the minimum one thing.

That is absolutely a must to have on a phone when you are shooting the video, and actually I've only experienced one plus and in particular only on this one plus, and it is the possibility to change lenses while you're recording the video. I don't know why anybody didn't use that before, because I think you can do it only on iPhone, maybe but not on android phones- and I don't know if somebody will add this feature, maybe in the next updates for the snapdragon 8 phones, because, as I said, it's a must to have while you're recording, because it's very, very useful- and one thing that I've mentioned also in the OnePlus camera review- is that while you're switching between lenses, I don't know why. But you cannot use the 3.3 x lens, but you can only zoom up to 2x, and then you can go up to, of course, 8x like uh digitally, and here you can see on the video comparisons that uh the stabilization on the mi 11 is pretty much on another level and is indeed superior. So if you're planning to shoot handheld with these phones, you know that the better one is the mi 11, at least for now. So, to throw some conclusion, we can say that the 11 is just a phone that is meant to be more for movie and the OnePlus is meant to be more for stills but, as I said also in my me, 11 review.

If you want like a good main sensor, because you're going to shoot mostly with the main sensor, you can go with the mi 11. Of course, if you find that phone like for a good price, it is a great deal in my opinion, of course, if you compare also to the OnePlus 9 pro price, because it's a little higher, at least for now, then we can say that OnePlus is still a pretty new phone, so it just came out a few weeks ago. So we can expect some software updates from OnePlus in the next weeks, but it's already received some updates for now, especially in the camera department. They still have to fix some feature in this department, so we have to wait and see how it goes, but I repeat, for now the OnePlus. If you want, of course, a camera phone, I think it is not a good choice, at least for its price and performance, but anyway I think for now.

That's it if I just missed something just let me know down below and also let me know what you think about these two phones and who is the better phones for you just leave a comment down below also, if you liked this video just hit a like button and if you haven't subscribed already just consider doing it right now, because it's very much appreciated, and it will help this channel to grow either way. I think for now, that's it. So I will see you in my next video bye for now.
