OnePlus 9 Pro Pine Green Unboxing

Hello and welcome back to another video, this is, will p as you may notice. I was away for around two months as I was traveling, and now I'm back again with another video. Today I have the OnePlus 9 pro here for the unboxing. It took me a while to be able to get my hands on this specific color of the lineup, because it seemed OnePlus had some difficulties in supplying the pine green color anyhow. Here we have it now. This is the European version here in Europe we get the new one plus nine pro, with the same price.

We had the last year, eight pro, which is 9.99 euros, so no price increase here for us, that's good. I bought this for my own use, so I bought the highest specs. It comes with the snapdragon 888 12, gigabytes of ram and 256 gigabytes of storage. The box is very similar to the previous years. Maybe the only difference is the cooperation between OnePlus and the Hasselblad in the camera department.

There has been a lot of hypes around this but uh. I will put this in test and I will do some camera comparison to see how good this camera is in practice. So let's go and open the box. Let's see what do we get here? We have the welcome note. Some paper works, and this time there is no speaker OnePlus used to play some OnePlus brand stickers, always in the box, but at least here we don't get it.

Let's have a look at the other things we get in the box. Like always, we have a case coming with the phone this time. The good thing about this case is that it's not a transparent case. The quality is same as the previous ones, but it's matching the color of the phone. The problem with the transparent cases we got previous years was that they get some kind of yellowish color after like couple of months of usage, and they are not any more usable, but this is a good one.

I like that. We have this color matching the color of the phone with the phone. We also get the power adapter. It is the exact same power adapter. We got in the OnePlus 8t last year.

It is 65 watts, but this time, due to the changes OnePlus has made to the battery design, we can fully charge the phone in less than 30 minutes, which was around 40 minutes for the OnePlus 8t last year. So we have a 6.7 inches AMOLED display with a punch hole for the selfie camera. There's a screen protector installed on the display out of the box. Anyhow, the phone has a gorilla glass, 5 protection both on the front and back, and that should provide some protection against light scratches in terms of feeling in the hand the phone definitely looks and feels very premium. The build quality is good.

The shape and feeling is very similar to the OnePlus 8 pro from last year, so very similar the frame is built from metal. We have the notification slider and the power button on the right and at the bottom we have the sim card slot, the USB type c and the stereo speaker and, on the left-hand side. We have the volume rocker, which is a little lower in terms of placement, compared, for example, to the 80. Now, let's have a look at the back of the phone. To be frank, I didn't like that much this year's color options for the pro lineup, but among the available colors.

I prefer this one. This is pine green. The silver one was very shiny, not my type of thing and the stellar black color. I saw it and I hold it, and some of you may disagree, but my first impression of the stellar black color was with that texture on the back of the phone was quite negative, so it didn't feel as premium as this one, and it felt like a cheap plastic to me, even though I know some of you love that color and the texture. But that was my feeling.

This pine green color is my favorite. It is not really green. I think it's a mixture of green and sometimes some specific gray color, depending on the light direction. The color can change a little, not that much. But overall I like this color in the available options that we have.

We also have the new camera module here. It is similar to the placement of the camera on the 80, but, of course, with totally different hardware setup. We can also see the Hasselblad branding on it, and one thing I like is that the camera bump is not as large as it is in the Samsung s20 series lineup. It is more similar to the iPhone 12 Pro this year, and it's quite minimal. I will do the camera test, and also I will do some speed test between the nine pro and some other phones, so make sure you subscribe to my channel to see those upcoming videos.

So here we have it. The display quality is in flagship level, definitely very sharp, very bright and the color is very good. It's quad HD, and it supports high refresh rate from 1 to 120 hertz. There is already an update available for this phone, which I will do it later. The curvature of the display is not like the 8 pro it's more flat.

I think OnePlus has listened to the feedback and flattened the display a little. I like the balance here now between the curve and the flat screen on the nine pro. You cannot force the 120 hertz all the time like previous years that we had, for example, on the eight pro. So it's a kind of smart refresh rate, but I hope OnePlus enables that for users. So if someone wants really to force that they could do it, it also comes with the latest android and the oxygen OS.

This was my quick unboxing video. I hope you enjoyed it. This is going to be my main phone for next couple of months. I'm going to use it as my daily driver, so feel free to ask any question you have at any time, and I will try to get back to you whenever I can that's it for now, thanks for watching and until the next one.
