Nokia 5.4 vs Nokia 5.3 performance (Multitasking, browsing, gaming) review

Hey there, how are you doing team Nokia passer here, and we will come you all to very interesting video. As you can see, I have the Nokia 5.4 here, and we recently posted its unboxing and first impressions video. We later also posted the detailed camera review of Nokia 5.4, where we found that the Nokia 5.4 has a very good camera. Both cameras work very, very well, and you know if you consider the camera, it is a serious upgrade over Nokia 5.3, and it can give a run for money to many of the costlier. You know alternatives or competition, complete competition phones, so the camera is very good, and you can read our camera review at Nokia, power, user, dot com. Now coming to other aspects like performance multitasking, a question uh has like was asked many times whether Nokia 5.4 uh, I mean perform better than Nokia 5.3 because it comes with snapdragon 662, okay, five, three five and three has snapdragon 665. So the naming you know 665 versus 662 that you know created some confusion, but 662 is a newer, processor and uh.

So far without experience you can say: okay, 5.4 is very smooth, and it handles all what you throw at it very easily. You know I mean being a mid-range phone, it can handle many games in the background, etc. , etc. So what we will do we will evaluate, not only evaluate the performance, we will compare it to 5.3 quickly, and we will also evaluate things like audio quality display quality when we especially run a video, etc. Here in this video now coming to the performance part, I will quickly show what we have in the background.

So in the background we have one two three four games open, and then we have two more wind. I mean kind of uh screens open one for Google Play Store. Another is for settings so out of those four games, one game, GTA San Andreas is a very uh. You know heavy game that we already know. So this is one heavy game and I think even sniper.3D is a heavy game not as heavy as GTA San Andreas, but still it is a heavy game. Apart from that, we have subway surfer and the hill climb racing, so you can already see that I did the multitasking, and it goes so easy.

You know so easy, even with those four games open in the background. It's a breeze. You know it works like a breeze, so everything is so smooth. You don't see uh the smartphone getting stressed under that load. It's quite easy, and the best part is that even with all this load it, the know, apps and games, are not resuming from background sorry, not restarting from background.

All the apps and games are resuming from the background that we saw right, so you just can go to where you left easily so which tells us that the processor is very capable and even with the optimization it's able to hold so much in the memory I mean there is obviously a limit to how much the memory can hold, maybe like. If you load even more even much more than this, it will obviously start restarting, but four games open in the background two heavy games, one very heavy game and other stuff still. It is working so smoothly. That is, you know that tells us that Nokia 5.4 is a capable performer. Now, let's open the camera app, let's see how quickly it happens, so you can see it's very, very quick short to short timings are really, really quick and let us send this camera to the background, and then we will do a multitasking again, which is good.

You see still it can hold it. There is no restart which is good. Okay. Now it restarted. So, as I said, when you know you f, full the memory load the memory with what uh maximum it can hold, then obviously this happens, but still the point is even with all this it can work so smoothly is like a testament to how good the whole you know package is so here is the browser, and I think the browser has how many tabs, so browser has like 11 tabs.

So now let us see, but still the one. The thing that I would like to highlight is how easy and how smooth it works. There is no stuttering. There is no freezing it all handles very, very well, so see the camera that opened quickly. Okay, so now let us do a small comparison with Nokia 5.3. So here also, I have four games open so for making it even what we will do, we will quickly remove other multitasking cards from here.

Let us have only four games in the background, and then we will see how those both we have actually so let it load uh, hmm, okay, so now all the games are uh loaded. So let us quickly see how well they resume. So, okay, we have subway surfers. Okay, let us resume another game. We will resume the GTA.

So let us now resume the sniper 3d. So, as you can see, when both have same load same four games open in the background they behave very similarly so and the good part 5.3 was very capable, you know, even after doing all the multitasking etc. And similarly you see the same thing with 5.4. So now let us open more things like browser. Okay, we will load the same site here.

Um, so even browsing looks very, very similar on both. If you mean kind of tap both same time. It's quite good. Actually, so the thing that I wanted to show that between 5.3 and 5.4, even with you know, other processors like different processors on both things are quite uh. You know similar if 5.4 does not bring any. You know what can I say known differentiation or known advantage in terms of performance.

It does not. You know, perform inferior to 5.3, so it's very smooth you know even like. In some cases you will find that it is a bit faster than 5.3, but mostly they are very similar. So that's where the know like performance of Nokia 5.4 is very good. It's for a mid-ranger, it's a very good, very optimized kind of performance.

It can hold many uh things in the background. You saw one very heavy one heavy and two normal games open. You know all together and resuming very fine from the background, but, as you know, the memory has a limit. So after some time it you know if you load even more, you will. You know kind of stretch it to the maximum, then it can happen with any phone, but at least when you handle that even after so much load in the background, you will see that phone is still behaving so well.

It is so well optimized that you would not see, structuring or doing things which you can actually see on many competition phones which have very clunky UI, so that is where the strength of Nokia, you know, Nokia smartphones, lies with android one okay. So this with this, we come to uh end of this performance review of Nokia 5.4, where we compared it to Nokia.5.32, just you know, bring our drive home the point that performance wise Nokia 5.4 is you know like as good or slightly better than Nokia 5.3. So with that, we come to end of these videos, thanks for watching stay tuned to knockouts. com and Nokia, power user YouTube YouTube channel for more thanks for watching.
