iPhone SE vs iPhone 11: The Truth after 2 Months! By Darius K

Hey, what's up guys, it's Darius and if you're looking to pick up a new iPhone that doesn't cost a thousand bucks, you might find yourself choosing between the brand-new iPhone S II and the quote: unquote: affordable, iPhone, 11 I've been using iPhone as Eve for about two months now, and I've had iPhone 11 ever since its released back in September and in this video I'll tell you which of the two you should buy. You get a lot of iPhones, but they won't cost an arm and a leg and I absolutely get that spending four figures on a smartphone can be really hard to justify. A 64 gigabyte variant of iPhone is II will run you four hundred US dollars and the Eleven around seven hundred dollars.

Now the iPhone 11 is obviously the better smartphone, but is it worth the extra three hundred bucks? As always, let's start with the design. Looking at the back side, I think they both look very nice. The SE has the exact same design as iPhone 8, except the Apple logo is centered. Now the 11 is more modern, with the dual cameras and the taller aspect ratio both come in a bunch of colors and I, particularly like this candy red, then being iPhones, there's, obviously no expandable storage nor a headphone jack in sight, but they do support dual SIM via and IOM. Both are built incredibly well and have held up fairly nicely.

There's only a few scratches on my 11. They are quite a bit more micro scratches on these II, even though I didn't have it as long as the 11. My guess it's because it doesn't use the tough glass as the iPhone 11 does. Additionally, the iPhone is II is rated ip67. While the 11 is aerated ip68.

That means it's a little more waterproof, but it's not a big deal. To be honest, now all we see the SE is a much smaller smartphone and I actually prefer the size. It lies much better in my hand, either 11 does have rounded corners, but it's wider, thicker and quite a bit heavier which doesn't make it very comfortable. In my hand, but in return it does feel more premium. Both obviously have a glass back, which means they attract quite a few fingerprints and smudges, but that won't be a big issue if you use a case or skin, given the recycled design of the iPhone.

Se means you end up with crazy, big bezels, which are completely unacceptable for a smartphone that came out in 2020. I do understand that this smartphone is not meant for someone like me who is used to the most modern smartphones, it's more for someone who has maybe an iPhone, 6 or 7 and is looking to upgrade but wants something familiar, which you obviously get with. The SE and I really get that, but do note that in a few years this thing will look like an absolute relic. Ivan 11 looks more modern, but still kind of looks old next to other current smartphones, with that big notch and fairly big bezels funny thing. Actually, these side bezels are smaller on the SE, then on the 11, which again uses a five-year-old design.

Now the first thing I thought when I unboxed, the iPhone SE was damn. This thing is tiny, but not just the actual phone more the display. It is so small because of the low screen to body ratio again with those huge bezels and it kind of feels like I'm, using an old smartphone. Both displays are LCD and are actually high-quality on paper. They are awful.

I mean you get a 720p panel on the SE and slightly above that on the 11. The PPI is actually the same, which means the quality between the two is about the same. Not one is importuning sharper than the other, but in reality they are quite good. I mean I was quite surprised, but do note. In both cases you can get a better screen on an Android competitor for the same price, if not even less.

The speakers are really, really good. They sound, really rich and don't distort at high volumes. The 11 just sounds a little fuller, though, to unlock you may have noticed already. You have faced ID on the 11 and touch any on the SE. It's really personal preference I understand that if you're coming from an older iPhone that still uses touch ID, you might be biased towards it and I get it.

It is quite convenient face. I'd is more reliable. I'd, say, though, which surprised me, but if you sweat or have some smudges on your finger, touch, ID doesn't really work. Well, speed is about the same though one advantage to touch ID as in today's day and age. Is it works while wearing a mask performance is excellent and really the same on the 11 as well as on the SE.

There is no difference whatsoever because they both use the amazing a 13 ship. The 11 does have a gig more RAM, but I'll be honest. You really don't notice that software is again the exact same features like airdrop, airplay, iMessage, etc. Are all there don't worry. You get the full package on both the 11 and the SE.

Neither of the two have 3d touch, though something I really like with iOS are the small animations and the haptic feedback, which makes for a great user experience. An obvious difference is that you don't have gestures on the S II. It uses the regular home button and the control center pulls up from the bottom still and not from the top right hand corner now. You may have noticed some other differences. I have these widgets on the home screen on my 11.

This is because I have the Developer Preview of iOS 14 running on my iPhone 11, but don't worry both of them will get the final version of iOS 14 when it arrives later this year. You also get the amazing long-term update support. That apple provides think about this. The original iPhone SE from 2016 and iPhone 6s from 2015 both get the update to Apple's latest software. How amazing, is that now? That means you can keep your iPhone for quite a long time and won't have to buy a new one anytime soon, and you will be collecting a lot of memories with it and accumulating a lot of data which, of course, you want to keep safe, and here is where this video sponsor comes in doctor phone manager for iOS by wonder share.

Let's start with battery life, either 11 has a significantly larger battery, and it shows the SE doesn't have bad battery life. It gets you through a regular day with a few percentages left, but it will for sure die before the 11:00 with my 11 I. Don't really have to worry about battery life. I can go one and a half even two days with minimal usage. Something iPhones are perfect at is standby times.

That means, if you leave your phone overnight without charging, it will not have lost a lot of battery in the morning for charging. They both support quick charge, although it's not particularly fast via a lightning port, but sadly they both only include a regular slow charger in the box. There's also support for wireless charging on both of them. Lastly, the cameras, ? SE, has the exact same sensor as iPhone 8, which was very capable, but it's quite outdated. By now, however, it does have improved image processing thanks to its new 813 chips.

? 11 has a dual camera setup, including a regular wide and an ultra-wide. They are the exact same cameras as on iPhone 11 Pro, and they are great in good lighting. They both perform really. Well, surprisingly, it's actually quite hard to tell which is which can you tell me which of these two images was shot on the $400 iPhone is e, and which was shot on the $700 ? 11 I couldn't, I'm very impressed with the camera on the S II? Don't let this little lens fool you, it is very capable. A minor difference.

I found was that the Elevens images do have a little more dynamic range now. The two main differences in terms of cameras is first, the ultra-wide, which can be quite useful and enables you to get shots like this. That just aren't possible on the s ii and the other thing is low-light. Sadly, there's no night mode on the iPhone it's II, despite having the exact same processor as the xi and xi pro. My guess is that it would be possible, but Apple decided not to include it to differentiate more between it and the high-end models, which is very unfortunate but from a business standpoint.

I do get it because they want to drive more people towards the 11 in the 11 Pro. It is a shame, though, because night mode on the iPhone 11 is very capable, but the SE just falls apart in low light. In conclusion, well, both aren't flawless. There are great smartphones, iPhone SE is a surprisingly good deal. You get an amazing build.

The performance is best in class and not just in its price segment. The latest software is installed. You get long-term update support for many years and the great camera, on the other hand, that designs all you have very big bezels with a small low res screen. Battery life is only decent, and you only get a single camera without a night mode, but you have to understand we're not talking about $1000 smartphone, we're talking about one that costs $400, and for that price it is absolutely worth it. iPhone 11 is a great purchase as well.

You gain a larger, more modern, looking screen with smaller bezels as well as face ID battery life is quite a bit better. You get a better camera with night mode, as well as an ultra-wide lens, but is it worth the extra 300 bucks? Well, it depends on I, prefer the 11 any day of the week, but I was really surprised with how much I liked the iPhone is e. If you're someone who owns an iPhone, 7 or 6 or even older and don't terribly mind having the same old design for a few more years and don't really take many low-light pictures and by all means go ahead and pick up. The iPhone is e, save the extra cash or buy yourself some airports in other countries. Prices may be a little higher in Germany, for example, iPhone as EU costs you four hundred and eighty euros.

If the difference between the two isn't as big or the iPhone is e is just particularly expensive. I read that in Turkey, for example, iPhone SE because they converted $700, which is just insane, then don't get. The SE obviously get the 11 or an Android phone. Thank you guys for watching.
