iPhone SE 2020 White Unboxing and First Look

Finally, Apple has updated the well-loved iPhone SE with the power of the iPhone 11 Pro, who wants his chip back, welcome everyone, I'm Ricky from Tech Talk, and today we're going to be unboxing and taking our first look at the brand-new iPhone SE, it comes in three different colors: you've got the white option: you've got black, or you've got a product Reds, so the product red looks really nice, but I decided to go for the white option, and it's nice to see that it has a black bezel on the front here. Normally, that's why so on the factory? You do get to see a picture of our device, and we've got a bit of a new wallpaper, which is always nice to see on the side. We just have I phone, so we don't have the iPhone SB anymore on there, as you did with the first generation on top, we've got a silver Apple which is silver on the side as well. I, don't know if that represents the white coming around to the back. Here we just have a bit of information, and you can see I've gone for eight hundred and twenty-eight gigabytes sides option. It also offers 64 gigabytes or 256 variants.

So you can choose actually know that Apple now you don't have to use a knife to actually cut through their packaging anymore. They provide a handy. Little tap, still get a satisfying sound. So just take that off. So we're ready to take our lid off.

We've got not a glide option now, which is nice, sit at the side. We've got there designed by Apple in California. So let's see what we get inside here so inside here. Our paperwork welcome to iPhone, so just some quick tips, and it's explaining what the buttons are and what they do turn over, and we got a bit further information there. If you need any help, job comment down below I'll be more than happy to help.

You've got your central, so you put in a SIM takes a NATO sized SIM card. Also, this device offers a dual SIM option, so you can have a physical sim and then an e sim. We have warranty and safety information, and we also have some Apple stickers as well, not to sure if the other options come with black ones or red ones, but we've got the standard white ones here. So that's all of our paperwork. There, then we've got a little tap here to pick up our new iPhone, so just go sit back to the side as well, underneath you're going to get a standard, UK three-pin plug, so this device can charge at 18 watt, but you will need to buy that separately.

Luckily, for myself, I've got either my MacBook charger or I've got the iPad Pro charger option, but you've got three pin plugs here and at the sides we've got a USB a connection. Then we get the standard Apple EarPods up here, which are the wired option. You will not get either a connection for connecting other headphones, a 3.5, jack, 2, Lightning connection. You have to buy that separately. Now.

These will most probably stay in the box, as well as the charging option which is under here. So we've got a USB a, so it's a USB an inside there to a lightning connection for charging our device, which is perfect, but I must be used too fast that 18 watt option just so it charges up a lot quicker. So put that all the way, let's actually take a look at our brand-new iPhone here and I, went to the white model, and that looks really nice really crisp and clean white down the back, not to sure how long that will actually last but with a positive I, did also pick up a iPhone SE silicon case, which is black I, thought that he would actually match quite nicely because black on the front and then also the white on the back as well, will shine through the camera lens a bit there. So we'll have that unboxing really soon. So we just got a bit of a tab here to pull off I'll never get over that sound.

It always sounds so crisp, and so nice looks really nice. It's a glass design with an aluminum frame and let's power on, so we've got our normal buttons. So you've got your sleep-wake power button. You've got touch ID, built into your home button that we've seen on other devices. We've got our volume controls, and also you've got your vibrate switch.

So there's a little of textual difference there between the volume controls would have been nice to have a little more. Maybe and again here with the power button, is slightly raised, we're greeted with hello caller, and it's going to start going through the different options. They're just taking a look around so the bottom we've got our lightning connection for charging. You've also got your speaker and your microphone. You've got your options built in at the top as well to press the home button, and it will start to begin, as you know, I'm very interested in accessibility here on a channel being visually impaired, so Apple do offer accessibility options.

So three quick tax of the home button here, voice over I set up English button, so I can Doubleday, select your country or region heading, and then we need to select our country or region, and they were tall things free for me. You can also swipe through and then go through further options. If you so want to see, three quick taps will turn this off. We're going to hit United Kingdom. So once you get into this section, this is where it becomes really more interesting from Apple and their accessibility options up here.

In the top right hand, corner you're gonna, see the accessibility figure with its arms and legs out, it's blue and white, it's quite small. It would be nice to see this on the home page or the right at the beginning. When you start to set up once we see with other devices. But least you know, there are some accessibility options. So, let's tap on this icon, and it says accessibility options, and you have a range of different options inside here.

So what I've done is just make the text a little larger, so I can actually read this inside here. We've got accessibility options, opt-in to one or more of these features to customize your iPhone for optimal use. So your first one is vision, so you've got voice over, as you saw at the beginning. It described everything to us. You can use Zoom, so you can zoom in.

If you want to, we have display and text size. As you might have noticed, the text size is slightly larger. We've got their motion, and you've got spoken. Contents underneath that we then have physical and motor options, which include touch switch, control and keyboard is so nice to see these accessibility options inside here, making it easier for everyone to use their device, no matter their ability, so we're going to hit done at the top right-hand corner, and then we were greeted with the Quick Start option. So if you're new to iOS, you can use a quick starts from one of your previous iOS devices and transfer over everything very easily, or you can set up manually.

The choice is yours. So if you want to set up manually you'll press setup manually, if not you'll, have to bring in your other iOS device and as you can see, it popped up continue. It will then ask me to use the camera on my iPhone 11 Pro Max here to take a picture of this spiral bubble here, a bit like with the Apple Watch. So just take this and line it up, which is done, and then it will transfer over. All of my data, like I said you could set this up manually.

If you want to it's asking me to input my code from this device and that's what I'm going to do now, and this will take a while to transfer over information, but it will take over your Apple ID. It will take over some applications if you want to, of course, you can use an iCloud backup as well to bring everything over if this is your brand-new device. Obviously I'm going to be using this as a review device and a test device and see how well it compares, and also I do have the first generation iPhone SE, which will be comparing it against. That's asking me to set up touch ID, and I'm. A massive fan of touch ID, so touch ID disappeared with the iPhone 10, and we've got face ID, which is great but being visually impaired.

You have to make sure you look essentially at the camera and actually can be a little distracting where touch IDs, simple and so easy I'm really hoping it does come back. There are rumors that it's going to come back under the display within the iPad series, and I'm, looking forward to seeing that, and we'll be bringing out on the channel, but we're going to set our touch ID here. So what you need to do is simply don't press this button just rest. Your finger on it, you'll feel a very strong haptic feedback, and you just feel him in your fingerprints. So again it asked you to adjust your grip, and we're going to hit continue at the top and, as you can see, we're just going to fill the outer edges.

So that means all the sides, the top and the bottom, which is great. You can also add another option if you want to- and you can add another finger, so transfer your data. This is what I was talking about. You can transfer data, you can then download, or I'm gonna just say not at the moment, apps and data. It's asking us about moving our data here, so you can restore from an iCloud backup, restore from your Mac or PC, transferred directly from iPhone move data from an Android device and don't transfer apps and data.

So if you are moving from an Android device, you tap this option here, and it'll. Tell you about getting the iOS app on the Android Market store and actually transferring your data. What we're going to do is don't transfer at the moment and want to set it up as a sort of brand-new device, and then I'll transfer over certain applications. I want to use on a daily basis. As you know, you're going to have to agree to terms and conditions, and you can read through these if you show one soon so set it up from your other iPhone.

So we can set up other options here, such as location and Siri, and we're just going to hit continue. Then we have Apple Pay here, so you can set up. Apple Pay like this set up. Latex I have a few cards on this other device, so improve Siri and dictation. You can use dictation, which is perfect, and you can share audio recordings.

That's up to you, I'm, going to say not now I find analytics. Yes, I agree to these analytics. Yes, I agree to these and have the haptic feedback, so it uses a haptic feedback now, instead of like the 3d touch, and you can feel that, and you can change the level, and you can sort of hear a virtual click, and it depends on which one you want. So some are really soft. So I know me go for two in the middle, where she's okay can hit continue so display zoom.

It shows you a couple of presets here, so you can choose which option depends on you again, a nice little accessibility tip there and welcome to iPhone. So our iPhone is all set up and ready to go with the power of iOS 13. It adds so many features that I really do like one of them being dark themes before you swipe up here, press and hold on the brightness will get the option of the night theme or dark theme here, just making it so much nice and I. Really do like to use this option just want to jump in and see if there is any new wallpapers, so in settings, we're going to jump into wallpaper, which is here we're gonna. Do is jump in here to see if there are any new wallpapers, they put any new ones on yeah I think these are new.

Let me know if these are new I think they are well this one. Maybe I'm going to choose this one set us both. It's always nice to have a new one. So there we go. We've got the wallpaper that looks a bit like this one on here.

It might change when you actually go into the light theme option as well. Sometimes they change yeah a little different there. Now our iPhone is all set up and ready to go. Let's go through some key features and talk about the key aspects of the brand-new iPhone SE second-generation one of them being if you're display, which you've meant to be looking at all the time. So this offers a retina HD display from Apple it's 4.7 inches in size, which is diagonal, and this was once a well-loved size option. I know for me: I prefer the iPhone 11 Pro Max and its larger size ability it offers a widescreen LCD multi-touch display with IPS technology.

Its resolution is 1334 by 750 that will give you a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch. It offers a 1400 to 1 contrast ratio. It also still includes the true tone display which I really do like this means it will subtly change depending on your light source. Furthermore, it offers a color display, p3 technology. Furthermore, it also includes the haptic touch, as I've mentioned, so no 3d touch anymore.

This is like a software ability to haptic touch and let you know it offers six hundred and twenty-five minutes max brightness. This is perfect to see for me being visually impaired, I like to have my device as bright as possible. As you know, this might have not done adored the iPhone 11 Pro and asked the bore chipset, which it has done so is using the brand new, a 13 Bionic chip from Apple, which is their third-generation neural engine. This means it can offer so much power and performance in your device, and I'm really looking forward to putting it to the test. It's rated ip67 maximum depth of one meter up to thirty minutes so turn around to the back.

This is what you're going to use most of the time with this iPhone is your camera. So it's a 12 megapixel wide camera offers an F, 1.8 aperture digital zoom, up to five times it offers portrait mode with advanced, both and depth control, which is perfect to see for the price point of this phone. It also offers portrait lighting, which can really advance your photo to Instagram and sharing on social media. The six options you have been neutral studio, contour stage, mono high key lights; mono. That's perfect! I'm, looking forward to testing Adams coming around for now to video recording, which is one of my top options that I'd like when creating videos she can do 4k video recording at 24 frames, 30 frames or 60 frames per second again, a great option here for the price points, 1080p, video recording at 30 or 60 frames per second 720p HD.

Video recording at 30 frames per second extended dynamic range for video up to 30 frames, 2 seconds optical image, stabilization for video and digital zoom. Up to 3 times, you've got your LED, true tone. Flash again and you've got quick tape. Video so come around to the front of your device. Now, with your front-facing camera, you've got a seven megapixel camera, which is an F 2.2 in aperture. This also offers portrait mode with a vast, both and depth control.

You also get the same portrait lighting, so all your selfies will look fantastic with the different lighting options to record video is at 1080p at 30 frames per second, so through all that features and actually enjoying your device you're going to be worried about your battery, but you're not to worry with binge-watching and enjoying videos up to 13 hours of video playback from this device from one full charge, which I will be testing. That's perfect to see. It also offers wireless charging, so you can wirelessly charge your device. As I mentioned, you can use the 18 watt charger for faster charging, which will get you 50% charge in just 30 minutes and I. Think we'll put that to the test to see if that works.

But, like I said all the features and everything you come to love from iOS 13 is all built into this, and I'm really looking forward to testing out and seeing how well it goes really putting it against the iPhone SE original option and seeing how well it compares and how much it actually changed in specs price and performance. So, as you can see, there is so much to love from the brand-new iPhone SE, but so much less to actually spend to get all of these features. The brand-new iPhone SE second-generation here in the UK is starting at 419 pounds. I will include a link in description for Apple, UK and also Apple us, where you can go and learn more and understand more about their new devices. So thanks always for watching the video I hope.

You've really enjoyed the unboxing the setup and talking about the iPhone SE second generation, and we're not going to be comparing it with the original option going through features in greater detail and I will be bringing you a review after a couple of weeks used, but at the moment I'm really excited about using this as well. Let me know what you think that below it's always great to hear from you if you've enjoyed this video, please give it a like that really does help support the channel.
