iPhone 7 vs iPhone 8 Speed Test! By Nick Ackerman

So, what is up guys Nick here, helping you to master your technology and welcome to the iPhone 7 versus the iPhone 8 speed test now last week, I did do the iPhone 7 versus the iPhone 8 more of a full comparison where H I talked what are the differences between them, but we're here we're just going to test performance and speed. So let's go ahead and begin with the boot up test in three two and one here on both devices. Now the iPhone eight is a device that I've been pretty shocked by how fast it does boot up, and you're going to see here, even in this video, it's just going to rock it right on through to the home screen where we're going to be waiting on the iPhone 7. That's pretty crazy because. The iPhone 7 was an extremely fast booting device as well. There's the iPhone 8, and we're about three seconds and four seconds in five seconds in here comes the iPhone 7.

Now we're about seven to eight seconds in going on ten seconds behind 11 12 13 about 13 or 14 seconds behind on the boot up, and that's quite a difference in the boot uptime, showing that an 11 is ready to go alright guys. So you see in the iPhone.8 did win there when it comes to the boot up test. But what about the fingerprint now I did notice that the iPhone 8 seemed to be a little quicker when it comes to the fingerprint. Both these are on 11.1. You could even see the iPhone II responds quicker to pressing the power button, just slightly very slightly.

Let's go ahead and test now the fingerprint scanners, and you could see wow. That was pretty close. Let's do it again. Three two and one- and you could see, looks slightly to the iPhone II go ahead and watch that in slo-mo you're going to see a very, very slight difference. Let's do it one more time, and then we'll get in to the speed test here.

Okay, guys! So, let's get into the application speed test portion of this video could see all the applications are closed. I'm connected to the same Wi-Fi networks running an iOS 11.1, let's go into calendar. You could see slightly quicker, therefore, the iPhone 8. What about calculator you could see about the same coming home? Let's go into clock, you can see it look like it was slightly quicker on the iPhone. A very slight though.

Not even you know that much at all I didn't even see the camera one you let me know it's one, one on the camera down below I believed it was slightly to the eighth, though. What about Instagram you could see. Instagram is first wow that was pretty close. I'm going to call that one a tie. What about Twitter you can see.

Twitter does open first there for the iPhone 7 shockingly, let's go into Snapchat, and you can see. Snapchat opens first for the iPhone 8 coming home. Let's go into YouTube and see what happens here on YouTube is Wow I. Think YouTube was first there uh-huh. Actually that one was at I think that was a tie on YouTube on App Store.

You can see. App Store opens first there for the iPhone 8. What about Spotify and you could see? Spotify looks to be opening first there on the left. What about speed test going in the speed test? You could see a notification pops up about the same Wow. What about Safari going into Safari? Let's go ahead and search up Apple comm here, Apple comm apple.

com. Here, let's go and see which one gets there. First iPhone 8 over there on the right, then the iPhone 7. Let's do another one just for fair measure. What about yahoo.

com? Let's go to yahoo. com here on the right, then, let's take go, and you could see the iPhone 8 again. Well. iPhone 8 actually lost that one. So you can see right here just based on day-to-day applications.

It doesn't look like there's too much of a difference. Let's go back through them backwards now and multitask and see what happens. Safari opens first there on the 7. What about speed test? You can see the iPhone 8, the Spotify, about the same App Store looks like the iPhone 8 slightly YouTube about the same Snapchat about the same Twitter. Definitely the iPhone 8 Instagram, and you can see right here in this video.

This is proven day to day that you know why more people are buying the iPhone 7 right now than the iPhone 8, because it doesn't really bring you anything in performance. Now. If the iPhone 8 was a mass massively different in day to day performance, I think people would definitely easily want to upgrade, but this is showing right here that your experience due to this is not going to change too much. Let's go ahead and now and download an app to see which one does that faster. Let's go to Pint rest we're going to download Pinterest here Pinterest on the left Pinterest on the right.

Let's hit go here for the iPhone 8 go here for the iPhone 7, we're going to download it at the same time and see which one gets there first. So where is it actually downloading? So I think it's downloading right here and right there. So it's right under these applications, so we're going to see which one finishes it looks like the iPhone 8 is ahead here over the iPhone 7. So here's an area where you will see a speed improvement when it comes to installing apps. You can see it's done there on the iPhone 8 and now comes the iPhone 7, but very slight I mean.

Is that enough to really change your opinion as to which phone you're going to get that performance? I mean it comes down to some of the other factors I mentioned in the fool comparison, you should check that out. I'll leave the link down below in the description area. This video also up in a card, but you know it comes down to you really want that glass. Do you really want that fast wireless charging, because, day to day, you're, not gonna, see any difference here in performance between iPhone 7 and iPhone 8? Now, if you are gaming, it should run a little cooler than the iPhone 7. The CPU is definitely a little.

It doesn't get as hot as the iPhone 7, and also the battery life has definitely improved over time phone 7. So if you want better battery life, iPhone 8 is gonna, be a solid upgrade but honestly skip this one guys if you're on an iPhone 7 just skip it, you're going to be happy which are iPhone 7. If you get an iPhone if you're going to feel like you got basically the same phone. You know sans the true tone. You get true tone here.

The iPhone 10 is an upgrade yes in design, but the iPhone 10 is not a huge upgrade in performance over the iPhone 7 either. So if you go to an iPhone, 7 iPhone 10 you're, really just getting the new look and design the new way to use the operating system, which might be enough to sway you, but when it comes to your day to day perform it's even an iPhone.10 is not gonna, make a difference that is coming to the channel, probably in the next few days.
