This episode was sponsored by privacy calm. This is one of the biggest video comparisons of the year. What's up guys, it's Karl here back with another episode and comparing two of the biggest flagships of 2019. Of course, we have the brand new iPhone 11 Pro Max. This is Apple's biggest and most expensive flagship against the heavy hitter one of the most popular large-size devices, the Galaxy Note 10. And if you want to see one of these devices as a potential giveaway, which would you get the brand-new iPhone, 11 Pro, the note 10 plus, let me know down below we'll try to make it happen.
Lets of course start with pricing, because that's the most important where you're going to spend your hard-earned money. Both are super expensive, depending on where you live, and depending on storage options, for example, I'm up here in Canada, and this guy, the largest spec 512 gigs, cost two thousand dollars the note 10 + 256 gigs around $1500, if you're in the US you're, looking anywhere over the $1,200 price point, which is kind of mind-blowing for a flagship, but we're here, it's 2019 and that's how much phone's cost and I think you just gotta look past that at this point or if you're looking for something cheaper switch to another video next, we will switch to design we'll kick things off with a new guy. First, the 11pro. If you look at actually the 10s 10s max from last year, it has almost the exact same footprint. It's just slightly thicker I think a couple millimeters thicker and that's because Apple has a larger battery, which is actually the direction they need to be going.
Battery life has been way better than last year and that's actually the feature I'm so stoked about and most impressed with this year's iPhone lineup. Both sides are made of glass, but this year round we have a matte or frosted finish on the back still, unfortunately, a lightning port on the bottom I think we really need to make that switch to USB see it should be as a pro device, just like their iPad pros cameras. Of course, a big update which we'll talk about later and now, of course, the design of the note, 10 plus or the CD I like to call it very typical, looking Samsung device and, of course, depending on which color option you get a kind of ranges, rounded edges, but a bit more of a squarish top, which I personally prefer gives it a bit of a harder edge and on the bottom USB, that's obviously native. It's the way to go. Every device should be having this type of input and, of course the note series comes with the S Pen I honestly, don't use this too much.
You can use it for taking notes, but I think most people would agree. It's just a nice accessory or add-on I. Don't think it'll make or break your decision whether you grab this guy both feel super premium in your hands. It's almost justifiable to say, you've spent over a thousand dollars on a device. I think its personal preference will give a tie-in design awards, let's flip to the other side, which of course is the display.
It's the thing that you use the most, and it's also the thing where the biggest differences are and unfortunately, even though this is a plus model, this is a pro model. They still don't have a higher refresh rate display, just like the 1 plus 7 Pro, the soon-to-be one plus 17, the iPad Pro. It's something that I wish we saw in more devices, and it's sad to say that a thousand plus dollar phone doesn't have a display like that make the pro model have pro specs. The same thing applies for the note, but the saving grace for this guy. You can even see just on this video right here without going to be role.
The iPhone looks dated we've seen this design for the past couple years. I think they could squeeze an extra couple millimeters, whereas on the note it does go edge to edge it's gorgeous, it's beautiful. It's got palm rejection software. The note 10 takes the cake for the display. The next important thing is the cameras, and this is where the biggest update comes to the pro.
We finally have an ultra-wide sensor on an iPhone it's taken forever, but now we have a triple lens setup, so you've got, of course, that ultra-wide your standard wide as well as your telephoto. The note 10 plus has the same focal ranges here are a ton of photos taken across both devices I'll. Let you guys know what I think when these are done. The iPhone to me has taken way better photos. Dynamic range, color, reproduction, the note 10 for me.
Sometimes the saturation is a bit off I. Think the white and blacks don't get as deep as they need to night mode on this guy, even though it is automatic, you can't toggle it still. It takes the cake, would love to see how this competes against the upcoming pixel, for you know that Google usually reigned supreme in the camera department. I think that will be a super fun video to make. We've got iOS 13, dark mode swiping to text which, of course, we've seen on Android forever.
Samsung is rocking one UI and I. Think they've done a great job in simplifying it. I think this debate comes down to personal preference. Do you have max? Do you want that continuity? Do you like Android I, think that question is only for you to decide performance I'm, not really going to chat about, because we are talking about flagships? They are both beasts. Yeah, in the keynote Apple said it's the fastest chipset, but mobile chipsets are just becoming powerhouses and I.
Think 90% of people out there can get by totally fine with smartphones alone they're that good. So you don't need to worry on the performance. End and I think that pretty much wraps up the major comparisons and the everyday use of a smartphone. Let me know your thoughts down below which device you prefer and remember. If you want to see this or one of these devices as a giveaway which device would you pick I'll try to make it happen, and I hope you guys enjoyed this video? Let me know if you did, and I'll catch the rest of you in one of my next episodes or vlogs base privacy.
