iPhone 11 Pro Max vs Galaxy Note 10 Plus Full Comparison!

So, what is up guys Nick here, helping you to master your technology and welcome to the iPhone 11 Pro Max versus the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Pro, to show you how good the cameras really are on smartphones these days now, in terms of the price point here between both of them. That's the first thing: I want you guys to go ahead and see before we get into the details of this video is that the Galaxy Note 10.1 thousand $99 for 256 gigabytes, whereas the 11pro max is gonna, come in at $1,00099 for 64 gigabytes, so you do have to go up to 12 49 to get the same storage as the 1099, so right off the bat, the Galaxy Note, Templar storage for less money. Let's get into the first aspect of these two phones, and that is body and design. Okay, guys. So, let's run through the designs of both smartphones. Now on the front of the iPhone 11 Pro Mac 6.5 inch display, you can see the notch right there. It is a flat panel display and there's not a lot of chins on this device.

So I think a lot of people are going to enjoy it. Now, for the Samsung Galaxy note template a whole display there. It is a curved panel and at the bottom very thin, bezels and razor-thin bezels along the sides. Now both of them are pretty thin and the note templates coming in a little thinner at 7.9, millimeters versus 8.1 millimeters thick for the iPhone 11 Pro Max now in terms of weight due to the stainless steel I believe the iPhone 11 Pro max is a little heavier at 226 grams. Actually, it's a lot heavier than the 196 grams of the Galaxy Note 10.1 line with the iPhone 11 in terms of weight buts, giving you a larger display than Apple's biggest smartphone in the iPhone 11 Pro max. Now on the rear.

You can see that the camera design is more vertical versus, like a big square here for the iPhone 11 Pro Max now up at the top. You can see that there's nothing on the iPhone, and we do have our SIM card tray as well as our micro SD card slot open up there and that little hole is, for you know, channeling our audio because of the Basel Sultan. There was no way to get it out of there. Now for the iPhone 11 Pro max on the right side. You can see we have our SIM card tray power button, but nothing on the note, because the note brings that power button as well as Bigamy button.

Here it came double as both, and you can do the volume rockers here volume rockers here, silent switches, antennae, bands for iPhone 11 and you could see the antenna right there for the Galaxy, Note 10.1 or innovative newer, more modern design, so iPhone definitely changes the camera, but I think this year. Samsung has won it over for me and design. So I'm going to give this one to Samsung just for changing their phone up a lot over. There prior phone versus Apple keeping it basically the same now in terms of the build quality, because Apple decided to go with a stainless steel material I do think that Apple does have the higher build quality phone here. This is probably more competitive with the s10 pluses ceramic version.

Now the Galaxy Note template actually has aluminum sides which lends to it being lighter, but it just doesn't feel quite as premium due to that material, and also I found that I'm already getting a little of nicks around this lens cover right here. So I have found in the past too, that the iPhone 10s max actually had a better durability of over the long haul than my Galaxy Note.9. So we'll see how this goes, but so far I'm seeing a little better durability on the iPhone 11 Pro Max and with the higher grade stainless steel. I'm going to give the win here to the 11pro max for maybe a little more durable of a smartphone, because it is using a more strengthened material versus aluminum. On the Galaxy Note, 10 2013 XE, it goes up to 800 nits of brightness and that's without you know the auto brightness triggering the sunlight.

Now with the Galaxy Note M plus, you can probably see somewhere near 700 nits a brightness before it gets auto, triggered to go up a little more about maybe something shining over there on the sensors, but the iPhone 11 Pro Max doesn't get as bright as the note 10-plus outside. In my experience, so I'm, seeing around 1,300 nits here when it does trigger that auto brightness versus about 1200 nits on the 11pro max, so I think indoors and day to day stuff. The 11pro max actually looks brighter. But when it comes to you the actual max brightness it can get. You know, 10 Plus, slightly brighter in direct sunlight and I could see that easily.

When I was doing the camera comparison between these two now one thing to keep in mind when buying these two phones that you do get a flat display here for the 11pro max no curve going on for this phone. So what that means is that it's just gonna look very uniform here and there's not gonna, be any. You know curve, so you might not have any accidental presses, even without a case on this device. Now for note, 10 plus it does have a slight curve, but it's a lot less aggressive than you'll see on Galaxy S series phones, specifically like last year with the S 9 or even with the 1 + 7 Pro devices that has very aggressive curves. It seems like on the edges this one's more squared off, but still it's slightly there, and you can't accidentally press it because it's so razor-thin.

It does achieve a beautiful looking design, but the same time you're going to have to decide. Do you like the flat display or not? It's really not a benefit to either it's just kind of a preference thing. Now, looking at display modes, you can choose between natural or a very vivid look which you can tune it to a little either warmer or cooler. Now the iPhone actually has true tone on here which will adjust to the ambient lighting and change. Your display usually goes a little more warm when you do that now.

In addition to that, the Galaxy Note template also has night mode, which you also get in the form of dark mode for iOS 13, so they are very competitive there as well. Now, when it comes to the other features, you can change the Galaxy Note template into who resolution up to 1440p, which allows the note 10 plus to achieve a higher resolution than the iPhone 11 Pro max. Now the 11pro max does have a zoomed mode, so you can zoom in those icons, make them a little bigger, and you can of course, change the font sizes in Texas of both of them in terms of sharpness. The text on the iPhone is super sharp at 458 PPI and very accurate colors. Now for the Galaxy Note templates, 498 PPI.

Now they both have display of true genes. This one has a notch up here, and this one up here has a hole in display I'm guessing both of these will be gone next year to all screen display. So keep that in mind. At the end of the day, I'm leaning more towards the Galaxy Note 10.1 for display, because, while the iPhone 11 Pro max is a little brighter, the Galaxy Note n + is giving you a bigger display, more of an all screen display with just a hole versus a notch up there. It feels different from before, and it's a higher resolution than this display, and I've seen it get brighter in sunlight than this display.

So this is an amazing display on the super Retina DR, but I. Just think that the note 10 plus has a slightly more enjoyable to use display just feels a little more innovative than the one on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Okay. So in terms of software, which is the one you should pick now, let's make this simple iOS. If you want software, frequently we're already on Android 10 any note 10 + does not have it.

It is getting it soon, but it doesn't have it right now.13.1 already available for iPhone, 11, Pro, Macs and all the other iPhones are already had it basically as well down to these 6s. So software longevity you're gonna, like the iPhone more on the feature front, though you're gonna love, the Galaxy Note 10.1 Pro max I mean way more like you'll be finding features on this phone. You didn't even know existed and one of the key breakthrough things about Samsung is the ability to multitask here. So if we go- and you know just hit right here- we can do pop view and I can go ahead and open up another application right here, such as the settings application and let's go ahead and pop that there's just so much multitasking can do. There really is not available for the iPhone 11 Pro Mac.

So if you are into feature set, if you are into getting the most out of a phone, there is no comparison here. The Galaxy Note 2, M plus even comes with the S Pen, and it has its own suite of features as well. I mean features on top of features on top of features. It just doesn't any air for the Galaxy Note Templar going to have features for days and days and years and years. It's just so feature pack, that's not to say, there's, not a lot of features for the iPhone there's plenty going for iOS as well.

Furthermore, it's a lot more feature pack than people give it credit for, but at the same time it still got that simplicity, factor, where's, just a grid of icons. You can't customize it too much. It can be boring to some people. They do have some very polished applications that you can't find on the Android side, like Lima fusion, this pro movie video recording application. You can use film Pro like it's a little higher quality than the film Pro on Android, there's just a lot of little applications that just look more polished, and it's just a fun or experience to use the app sometimes on iOS.

So it comes down to you features versus updates and maybe a few betters app there's not really a clear winner in this aspect. It's really down to user preference, but I think either way you go. But if you plan on keeping these for like three to five years, I think you might be a little more disappointed with the lack of updates that it's going to come to your Galaxy Note 10, to a full computer with deck support, just by simply plugging a USB into your Mac or Windows computer and downloading the deck software essentially making this phone more than just a phone here can be like a total computer experience here for this device. In addition, you could do like landscape mode, which can kind of turn this into a little mini tablet on the go, whereas with the iPhone, it doesn't rotate whatsoever. So yeah, the note temp + feels more like a pocket PC versus more of a mobile.

You know, powerhouse in the iPhone 11 Pro max now, I. Think Apple is gonna, bring Apple Pencil support next year, but the s-pen is a true advantage for people that are actually going to utilize. This feature it basically gives your Galaxy Note Templar's a mouse and the way they add features every year just goes to show that Samsung is not joking about their s-pen. They know users love it, and they continue to refine it. One of my favorite features is here is the ability to write on the calendar.

You see him an iPhone launch day happened. I did a little calendar appointment right there, and this is really neat because it stays there. When you save it, it will stay there. So if we write today, video, so I'm doing a video right now, if I write, video and I hit save it's there, I can always see what I wrote on my calendar. That is such a neat productivity feature.

Now, if I hit the s-pen icon right here, there's live message: AR doodling could translate. Pen up commute is drawing things, there's just a lot you can do and, of course you can jot down your notes and to get precise control when pressing things on this s-pen. It's just a nice experience and also Samsung did improve the lock screen. When you do take notes on the lock screen, you can change the colors of the pen right here now, so there's really not much to compare to the 11pro Max. With this, it's a clear win for the note 10 plus, but it's not a clear win.

If you're not going to use the pen, it's kind of like the cameras on the 11pro Macs, if you're not gonna, use the cameras. Why get it? You know? Why get to know if you're not going to use the pen now I did a performance test the other day. Both of these don't have 120 Hertz displays. This has 120 Hertz touch sensing, so the apps feel a little smoother when you open them, but other than that. The speed and everyday apps a little faster for the Galaxy Note 10 x of video editing, the note 10 plus also a powerhouse, with its faster storage.

It really saves things very fast to the gallery, whereas with the iPhone, you get very polished. Video applications to save to your gallery here on this one so, like I, said before lots of great video apps here for editing in terms of just the everyday performance of opening applications and games. It's just games that seem a little faster here for iPhone, so yeah, you do have the technically superior chip in the a13 Bionic when it comes to a Geek bench result, but I think day to day no users really going to see much of a difference, and you can actually take a little more advantage of the power of multitasking on the Galaxy Note m+ and the DEC software, whereas you can take advantage of the power with the iPhone 11 Pro Max, with playing some amazing games, as well as using 4k 60, rendering and applications that do support it. So there are ways to take advantage of power on both in performance. It's pretty close you're, really just going to have to choose which you prefer.

Do you prefer snappy or look? Maybe smoother animations here for the iPhone. I should note, too, that the Galaxy Note tempest got a little less hot. In my experience because of that cooling chamber on the inside, the 11pro max does heat up a little more in terms of if you're really pushing these phones to the max. Now talking about biometric security, Apple did improve face ID. You can just simply look at it, and it does recognize you a little quicker now and on different angles, but it's probably not going to be too noticeable from a prior phone.

If you had a face, ID phone, this stuff is really hard to see and there's no fingerprint sensor, but it's a really world-class security mechanism and face ID up there. Now we do have ultrasonic and display fingerprint sensor, which is one of the most secure you can get on a phone here for the Galaxy Note m+, but you do lose your iris scanner from prior Galaxy, Note, 8 and no tonight. So when you do face unlock it, snaps right open, but at the same time the phone doesn't have that same security as the iPhone. So really it comes out to a fingerprint and display, which I think is a little convenient where it's placed I like where it's placed on the D Galaxy Note m+, but you have seen right there, it misses sometimes face ID misses sometimes -. Neither of these are perfect.

I. Think physical, fingerprint sensors were more accurate than both of these but see what face ID. You don't have any other option with the Samsung, you don't get as much security, but you still have the option to unlock what your face so again: options security, the ultrasonic, is pretty secure as well. Really you just gotta pick and choose you want the in display fingerprint sensor or do you want face? I'd? Okay, so when it comes to storage, Samsung does have an advantage again because they have the ability to store in a micro SD card, and they give you more storage for a cheaper price. And if you go up to the 512 gig on the Galaxy Note m+, that's also cheaper than a 512 gig on the 11pro max.

Actually, the 5 gig is around the same price as the 256 gig for the iPhone 11 Pro Mac. So across the board and UFS 3.0 storage. Here, for the Galaxy Note, 2 m+ now you do have a NVMe SSD here on the 11pro, so both of them very fast and storage. But we do have a very big advantage in terms of the amount you get for the money, so no 10 plus for me, wins on storage. So, let's discuss the cameras here on the iPhone.

You have a triple 12, megapixel camera. We do have the regular wide of 1.8, the secondary ultra-wide is at 2.4 F 2.4, and it's 13 millimeters 52 millimeter telephoto lenses, which is also gonna, be 12 megapixels and a 12 megapixel is at F 2.0 aperture. Now, for the Galaxy Note, template do a triple camera here. Two of them are 12 megapixel one is a variable aperture at F 1.5 to 2.4 and that's the regular wide their telephoto is at F 2.1 and that is at 52 millimeters, just like the iPhone and 16 millimeter ultra-wide camerae here. So you do have yourself an extremely wide angle on both of these phones.

Now they also have a time-of-flight sensor here for the fourth camera, which allows you to get a blur and background video, which is pretty cool for the Galaxy Note M plus okay. So when you actually go into the cameras, you can see that you can go right here. You can go telephoto here and, of course we have video modes, and then we have slo-mo time-lapse. We got all the stuff for used to what iPhone. If you swipe up just a bit here on photo, you can see that we can change our aspect ratio to sixteen by nine, and you have a square mode there.

So we're getting a little more control, not everything. We do have night mode on this phone as well, and you can go ahead and hold down the record video lock it there, or you can burst this way left now for the iPhone. So if we go to the front-facing camera of this device, you also can do video here. You can do slow-motion video. You can do time-lapse, you can do a ton on the front portrait modes as well.

There is portrait mode, you know you can change the f-stop in the portrait mode. So Apple is starting to get a little more control here on their cameras. Now back on the rear, you can see you can do your timer right there. So this is a great camera and I think a lot of people are gonna love this still, you have to go in your camera settings to apply a lot of adjustments to you. This phone, including smart, HDR, changing the record video settings, and things like that.

Now for the note 10 plus, you can see that we can go right here. We can go telephoto, and you can see it's just a little choppy err when going through those different lenses. You could kind of tell it's switching so a little smoother there for the iPhone when it comes to switching through those. You do have a pro mode here. On the Galaxy Note template week.

Everything this is the kind of control I want to see on the next iPhone. You could see video settings right here panoramic you have a night mode right here. Food mode allows you to take some really nice food shots. You can do night right there, like we said and going back over live focus super slo-mo, slow-motion hyperlapse. Both these cameras are just really loaded with the features, but you can also change your aspect ratios up here.

For the galaxy no 10-plus and you could see different filter effects and if we go to settings all of our camera settings are right there in camera. So I do like that. In addition to that, you can use the S, Pen and air actions to go ahead and swipe through the camera also just take a photo with the S Pen. So if we just click the S Pen button, it will take that photo like that, which is gonna, be great if you're a one-man band- and you got nobody around you to set up the phone. Just take the picture, you're good to go, set the phone up somewhere else with nobody around use the S Pen, and you can snap a picture of yourself again in the camera.

It's really darn close. It really going to come down to the actual quality of the pictures. You like better in the video you like better because they're both feature packs so go ahead and take a look at these samples, and let me know which one you prefer I took both of these both night and day of the iPhone 11 Pro Macs. In the Galaxy Note, 10.1- and here is the 11pro max from the front-facing camera in 4k 30. This is what you're going to get from the phone itself.

Audio is coming from these phones, not putting any audio sources on them. This is what you can expect hey guys. So this is the Galaxy Note 10.1 that the 11pro max can't do and that is live focus video from the front overall I, don't know how much people don't enjoy this, but I think this is pretty amazing for a smartphone, and you're not able to do this quite yet, okay guys! So when it comes to audio quality, they both have exceptional audio quality. It also gets pretty loud as well I found at the 11pro max to be slightly louder and sound a little better at the high volumes than the Galaxy Note tempest neither have a headphone jack, but both do offer up Galaxy Buds or air pods from the respective manufacturers, and they do give you headphones in the box that go into their lightning port and USB-C port, so pretty good on audio for both of them Bluetooth 5 on both of them. They both connect, ultra-fast I, do think the iPhone 11 Pro is a little better when it comes to the audio on the phone itself, though okay guys.

So when it comes to battery life, I can tell you what I've experienced so far about eight and a half hours of on-screen time, ?, almost nine. For the Galaxy Note. Template is insane over here for the 11pro max about nine to nine and a half hours screen on time, so a little better for the 11pro max in battery life. Now, standby time also creeps down a little more for the note temp, plus what the note templates does charge faster like much faster than the iPhone 11 Pro max, which charges faster than before, but not as fast as the note 10 plus. But overall, the battery life winner to me is the 11pro Max and if you're picking one of these, based on battery life alone, you're, probably gonna, like the 11pro max a little more now.

Last thing: I want to talk about, is connections, phone call, quality and things like that, so they both have Bluetooth 5, which I talked about a little earlier, which is pretty good. They both have similar Wi-Fi connectivity and they both have different ports on the bottom. USB C is a lot more Universal for the note 10 plus. So this feels a little dated in Lightning port, although Apple exist a proprietary as long as they can, so I think you're going to be stuck with the Lightning port for one more year here, while you are, if you get the 11pro max now, the Galaxy Note, template have better exception and both phone calls and LTE connectivity. It also has a 5g model, so actually, as a matter of fact, I've been having issues with cellular swapping between Wi-Fi on the Pro max is similar to last year's 10 s max with this an Intel modem, so connection reception connectivity is a lot more reliable for me on the note 10 plus, and that could be a deal-breaker for a few people if you're, not in a major metropolitan area.

Now in terms of the actual phone call quality itself, they're, both stellar when they're both have good reception. Again, though, I find that I had better reception on the notes and plus, so I would give it the wind just because it's probably less likely to drop a call, because it's probably less likely to break up. Then my iPhone 11 Pro max, so I tallied up the score based on everything. I said in this video. The wins I gave to the note the ties and V you know ones.

I gave to the 11pro Max and the note 10 plus came out ahead in this comparison as just a little more features than the iPhone 11 Pro max for the money. So that makes me think that the 11pro max is an amazing smartphone, but the Galaxy Note tempest is the better value here for that money. However, value is subjective and if you find more usage out of professional-grade cameras, I think you'll probably enjoy the 11pro max a little more. If you're a heavier user that uses up your battery a lot, you might enjoy the 11pro max more. If you're, more business you're more into writing notes down you're more into just doing everything on your phone productivity powerhouse, the note 10 plus will win, but from a value standpoint.

I do think that the Galaxy Note M plus gives you more for the money. Now don't be confused. What I said the other day? Why I'm? Switching to the 11pro max, it doesn't mean I'm, saying this phone is better than this phone, as I mentioned in this video you've. Seen throughout this comparison, objectively speaking, the note 10 plus offers more for this money anyway, which one are you going to pick this year, or did you already pick, which one do you think is better share your experiences with the community down below to help people going into this holiday season. This is a very tough choice here between these two phones.

I would really appreciate that thumbs up. If you enjoyed this video subscribe to the channel for more content like this Nick you're up, and you don't master, your technology be sure to be well and peace.
