iPad Pro 2018 Smart Folio Unboxing & Review! Worth it?

Hey guys with something here today, we take a look at the iPad pros. Smart cover up or smart folio I actually ordered this thinking that it was the smart cover and that I, just how like renamed it, I didn't really give it second thought and I received it and I looked at the back and realized that this is like a full on back and front case. It retails for like $80, and it's pretty expensive, but here we'll check out why I mean it's, because it's an Apple product, of course, but it's also because you know it's like a two-piece case, so it uses magnets that the iPad has liked all over the place now, and you can just basically put this guy on there, and it latches on, and then you got the front and the back covered. So you can see it right there. You of course have access to your Apple Pencil here, so you can dock it and use it and remove it and access to the speaker's. You can still hear the music and everything, and it's a really perfectly made case.

I had issues with previous years, where these smart cover on the iPads were coming out too much on the sides. This is coming out a little, so it's not like right on the edge of the iPad, but that little is nice, because if you were to drop it on the side, it would offer a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny bit of protection or maybe, if you slid it on the table, you wouldn't be sliding against the aluminum. So that's something to keep in mind. That's why it comes out a little and of course also, so you can lift the flap easily without having to dig your fingernail or anything. You can see it there.

Of course, you're gonna just remove it. It removes, and let me see if you actually can hang on so yeah. Those magnets are strong enough, so I mean I. Don't think that if you were, you were to open it and let it go here. I don't want to do it, but if you were to let it go I'm pretty sure the force would fling it out that direction.

It would fall out so yeah. It's definitely not a safe case, but it's definitely for people that, like a minimal case, and we used to love the Smart Cover I think that this is actually a beautiful second iteration, and it matches this new iPads design. Just perfectly that square look very industrial, and it just looks really nice. Of course, you can do what you've always done with the iPad prop it up, and it doesn't wobble too much when you use it. I mean there's some wobble, but I mean if you're, using it nicely and softly, there's really not that much wobble there and yeah.

You can see it there. Let's see a face. I'd recognizes me from all that far away. No, it's not doing it. Alright, so I yeah, that's pretty much it for this.

It's very straight forward. Video I mean it's not gonna, protect it. When you have it here, though, if you do put it like on a desk with I, don't know if you were to put it on sandpaper like this and then move it, you might scratch the pad right there, but of course the smart cover has never been for protection. Really it's for someone that just needs something that I kind of covered the screen and doesn't let it scratch whenever you have it on a table like this or when you put it in a bag or anything like that. So this really is a very nice design and I think I mean for protection.

It's not really worth the $80, but for what it is and for the design that it does. It does come in also white which not a big fan of it, just because it'll get filthy but yeah for what it is. I. Think if you're buying this you know a thousand dollar plus iPad. This case is kind of worth it.

It's just a nice design, and it matches everything nicely without making a bulky. I think this is probably them just kind of be the way to go if you're going to get one of these, of course, if you're going to get that keyboard, you're not going to need this, because it kind of serves the same purpose, and we'll take a look at that in the next video aside from that yeah. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me below and in the comments, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can, and you can also reach out to me on Twitter at our marginal or at our gadgets and I will get back to you there as well as something I've ever mentioned, is that it does cover that camera bump to a teat, so I mean if you were to I, don't know it's very close to the edge I mean it's, it's exact, I, don't think it doesn't scratch on a table, but I mean it could easily with a little rock or something, of course, but yeah. Thanks for watching this video, and I'll catch, you guys in the next one goodbye.
