iOS 14.3 Genshin Impact Tested! iPhone 12 Pro Max Better Gaming Performance after Update?

Hi guys welcome back to golden reviewer. Today we are going to test the iPhone 12 Pro max with the iOS 14.3 update. A lot of you actually requested this test, but because the ls 14.3 only went live today, I try to avoid testing on beta systems, so I'll test as soon as it's released right. So, as you can see here, I already get the update notice, but before that, I'm still on the iOS, 14.2, and I'll actually run the gauntlet impact game on 14.2. First and after that, I will update my device and I will run the game again. So, of course, I will record the fps and power consumption of both tests and make a set by set comparison for you to see.

Rather, the ls 14.3 actually has any significant improvements all right. So let's go okay, just like my previous tests, we'll go to graphics and set everything to highest and bloom to high as well, and then turn the fps all the way up to 60. All right. Okay. So, let's start okay! Now we've done the first test now I'll, let the device install the update.

Okay, as you can see, it's downloading and installing, so we'll come back later after it finishes all right. Okay, guys, we finished the update. Now you can see it's still the same iPhone 12 Pro max, but it's on 14.3 now, and what about? Let's check the system information, so you can see here iPhone, 12, pro max iOS 14.3 and then also wait for uh five to ten minutes to make sure that the device has already stabilized the temperature is already back to normal. It's not warm at all, and the CPU has no abnormal load all right. So now, let's test again: okay, just to check the graphics settings again, I haven't changed any of these.

They are all at highest or high and the 60 fps cap. Okay, it's exactly the same as our test now and yeah. Let's go okay! Now, we've finished all the tests, I'll actually put the recording of both tests side by side for you to take a look right, and also I'll display the real-time fps info on top of each recording. Now, at the beginning, both are able to maintain a stable, 6e fps, and there isn't much to see here we'll fast-forward to about three to four minutes. We've played the game for four minutes past, and it's actually very interesting to see that the iOS 14.3 actually starts with throttle earlier. This is very different to what I've heard.

Some people claim that the iOS 14.3 greatly improves the throttling problem, but I don't see any improvement here now. We are just one minute after the iOS 14.3 started strongly and the iOS 14.2 also starts with throttle. So I think there is no real difference there that this just might be some random arrow or differences right. So as they are both throttling and dropping frames, I feel the performance are more or less the same anyway, let's fast-forward to around the end of the 10-minute mark. Ok, now we are about 10 minutes into the game and I think they are just performing exactly the same.

I see fps around 40 to 50 and the devices are quite hard to touch um. I can't really say: there's any improvement or difference. Huh. Okay, so we've done the test on the iOS 14.3 as well. Let's check the results, all right.

Let's just check the fps record and as you expect, the fps are actually exactly the same. They are 100 the same and although the iOS 14.3 actually start to throttle up one minute earlier, I think that's just some random arrow. So there is absolutely no difference in performance here right. They can sustain 60 for three four five minutes and uh. That actually depends on your temperature.

So I do all my tests at 25 degrees Celsius uh with zircon on and if you are in a colder region of course, you'll be able to play a 60 for longer because your device is colder right. But if you are in a tropical region like I am, and you don't even have air condition, maybe you can only play for two minutes who know right, then. If we look at the power consumption, I think they are more or less the same right. We see something like 0.1 what difference here, and I think it's safe to say that this is just due to some random arrow right. If you watch my previous test with the game driver on some Samsung devices, we see a much larger difference there, like 0.34 watts that one, maybe you can't say it's random arrow, but here only 0.1 what difference? I don't think it means anything. So, in conclusion, the iOS 14.3 does not really bring any concrete improvement in terms of performance and throttling or heat management or power consumption under heavy gaming, at least as shown here with this test. This uh Gandhi impact game right so uh, if you feel otherwise.

If you still want me to do some other tests, uh feel free to. Let me know and leave me a comment down below. Also, if you like my content and wants to see more in the future, please subscribe and share and give me a like. Alright see you next time.
