INSANE PHONE! Can It MAX Genshin Impact?! (Red Magic 6 Review)

Hey toilets bit of a different video. Today we are going over the new red magic 6. If you've seen a couple of my previous videos, you know I'm a pretty massive tech nerd. I just love everything technology that plugs into a wall. So when Nubia reached out to do a sponsored video regarding their new red magic 6 phones, I was definitely down to do it. I thought it was a perfect fit.

I'm a mobile gamer. Furthermore, I also love technology. Furthermore, I do want to start with the specs as they're absolutely insane. This is a first for me in many ways. Let's start with the screen.

First, I've personally never had a phone with more than 60 hertz. This one has 165, like literally, even if you took off the hundred, it's still five hertz faster for those that are a little less tech-savvy. The hertz basically correspond to fps or frames per second, not many. If any games support 165 hertz at the moment, but there are quite a handful that now support 144hz other than that just navigating around the phone or browsing web pages. Scrolling just feels so crazy.

Smooth since YouTube is actually locked at 60fps for uploads uh. The only way to actually show 165hz looks like is to compare it to a 60hz phone, like my iPhone here and slow down the footage, a lot using a high speed camera, which we are doing here on the left. We have the red magic six at 165 hertz. You can see that it is refreshing much faster than the iPhone on the right. The rest of the screen is pretty dang good, to 6.8 inch, full HD, plus AMOLED, and up to 500 hertz touch refresh rate, which means when you touch the screen, that's going at like 500 hertz, so is very responsive is basically what that means. The chip inside this thing is the very latest snapdragon 888 another first.

For me, this phone literally has fans it has fans inside it. Their cooling in general is pretty insane their so-called ice.6.0 multi-dimensional cooling system combines seven different heat transfer and cooling methods, and, if that isn't enough cooling, they also have an accessory called their dual-core ice dock. Moving on to charging and battery it comes with a 5050 William hour battery, which is uh definitely on the higher end for smartphones, up to 66 watts, fast charging, and also what I find cool is that the fans kick in when you start charging, because uh fast charging produces a lot of heat, and the really nice cooling system in this can help keep the heat down, because heat is kind of bad for batteries, any method to get that heat away. While it's fast charging is always good, you can go from zero to one hundred percent in just over an hour which I find pretty mind-blowing. As far as wireless technology goes, we have 5g for those lucky enough to be able to take advantage of it, Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.1, so very, very modern connectivity options here. There are also a couple of dedicated shoulder trigger buttons, which are refreshing at 400 hertz.

So again, very, very responsive are also three microphones on this thing, as you may have guessed, we are currently using the microphones of the phone. There is probably some difference in audio quality, as I am otherwise using an audio setup that costs more than the phone does. So I would hope, but still not too shabby. It does also come with DTS x ultra, which is essentially just a high quality sound system, and I thought these were extinct, but I'm so happy they're, not an actual headphone jack. I've been holding onto my note 9 for years now, because almost every other phone doesn't have headphone jacks anymore.

So I'm super happy about that. I still prefer wired headphones and, last but not least, an ultra-thin under screen fingerprint reader. I've also never used under screen fingerprint readers, but they are definitely pretty cool to use. And, finally, we have to ask: does it run gen shin at max settings, because I know every phone. I've had so far definitely struggles a lot with max settings, it's a very pretty game, but it's also very demanding, and I'm not sure if it's totally amazingly optimized, I I think it's decently optimized but like I think it could be more optimized.

So here we are setting everything to maximum. I installed gentian on the phone. I do go ahead and restart the game to make sure everything gets actually applied, and here we are playing away at max settings. Furthermore, I know it probably doesn't look that great, but that's just because you know recording it through a phone to another phone, then being placed on YouTube and everything. It just goes through a lot of stuff there's also some weird banding and stuff through the camera.

But again, that's not like that in real life, it's just some weird funky stuff with the camera. I did do some screen recorded gameplay as well, but before I show that I do have to remind you if you are watching on anything other than a phone, that this is a small image blown up a lot. So, if you're watching on a TV or a monitor or something like that, it's automatically not going to look good because it's still a phone recording, but I can say with confidence, it looks absolutely stunning and plays beautifully in real life. We can also go ahead and try a real fight. We still have child to do this week.

So that's what we're going to be doing! This is some actuals live gameplay right here. So uh, forgive me. If I make some mistakes here but um, I will also try and have the screen recording and the normal. You know phone recording, as you can see here at the same time, so you can kind of see um, but yeah. Here we go, child is already going down, looks perfect plays smooth.

You know, I think I've already said all this stuff, probably going into lightning phase we're just going to start it off with some Zhang LI ult. We do have Noelle here just for the resonance she is cool too, though, let's go back to Hutu yeah there we go um but yeah. You know we're gonna just start with some Zhang LI shield, uh we're gonna, just try and kill him before we need to get rid of that thing. You know, don't want to waste any time here. Uh try and get dinettes ult as well.

So we're just going to spam with him for a little yeah. You know it's looking pretty good, pretty good. All right! Forget Bennett's old, let's just uh, start wrecking him with human here, uh, okay, but back to Zhang LI human is getting a little hurt. Now, let's try and get Nanette's old boom uh. Let's just do her ult and that was it yeah man that played actually really, really well looks perfect um.

Let's see, we really need human's stuff uh for this week. What do we get? Gladiators nostalgia? Oh, yeah. We got one. Unfortunately, only one but I'll take one I'll take, definitely one over nothing. Oh.

We also got a poll arm but yeah back to voice over yoga for the rest of the video triple camera set up on the back of the phone as well. I'm not really one to judge pictures, but they look fine. They look serviceable to me. I changed absolutely nothing. I just opened the camera app and started shooting.

So this is what it looks like complete default. I know with a lot of android phones. There are a ton of options you can change, so those that are more experienced can probably get a better image out of it. I also did take some video which yeah it doesn't look that great, especially when you're moving around um, but my room is pretty low light. So that's something a lot of cameras struggle with and then most cameras look totally fine in a lot of light like outside.

I actually really, really like the design of the phone. It might be a little too gamer for some people with the back panel here, just kind of going all over the place. There are even some ribs on the back you can mess with, but I actually think it looks pretty sleek and if you're not into the aesthetic, you can always get a case as well. If you just want to, you know, have a really, really solid gaming phone and uh. You know just use it as your daily driver as well, and then the front has a very nice screen to body ratio.

We just have a tiny little. You know forehead tiny little uh chin down there. I'm not sure what the official terms are, but you know what I mean: uh, but yeah, very good screen to body ratio kind of, like a more modern note, 9 sorts of design which I really like. I do want to talk about price, real, quick, because the price for these specs. This is like totally top of the line specs here.

My model here also has 12 gigabytes of ram, which is insane for a phone and 128 gigabytes of storage. This is the red magic 6. They also do have the red magic 6 pro, which can have up to 18 gigabytes of ram and a little over 500 gigabyte, storage and the red magic 6 goes for 5.99, which I think is totally beyond fair for these specs again, links will be in the description if you want to check it out, but yeah that'll, pretty much do it once again. I want to give huge thanks to Nubia for sponsoring this video and sending over the red magic 6 for review totally killer phone insane, specs, there's even fans inside it, which I thought was crazy. One little note about the fans: the fans can get a little noisy at maximum, but you can turn the fans off as well in the settings.

That's always an option. I do recommend at least having the fans on when you're charging, especially if you're fast charging, because it helps keep the heat down and your battery's life span will thank you for that. Yeah, make sure to tell me anything in the comments down below also down there. You can drop a like if you did happen to enjoy thanks, as always for watching and until next time.
