I Am Excited About the Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G!

Hey everybody welcome back to tech odyssey, I'm here today to talk about. Why I'm excited about the brand new Samsung Galaxy z, flip 3 5g. Do we really have to keep saying 5g? I mean, I think everybody kind of gets the point that the phones have 5g in them. I think that that's kind of archaic at this point- let's drop it- the z, flip 3. A lot of interesting things. The most important thing I think for almost everybody who's watching this video is, it dropped to 9.99. They have some okay, trade-in specials, not the best, not the worst, but I think it offsets a little because, instead of being 1380 like the first z-flip or being 14.49 like last year's 9.99 is a lot more palatable. There's a lot more people that are going to walk into the store and see that, and I think it's really going to open up the market for this foldable phone, the cheapest one, yet to get into a lot of people's hands 9.99 still a very expensive phone. That's a spicy meatball! That's a hard thing to absorb when you walk in there and got the old wallet, and you're like.

Ah, that cost a lot, but I think at 9.99. It offers a lot, I'm excited about it, and I'm going to tell you why, but before we get to that, I do want to say if this is your first time stopping by the channel. Thank you for being here. If you enjoy the video please hit the like and the subscribe button and the little notification bell. If you want updates when new videos come out, apparently that helps it lets YouTube.

Know that you like the video you want to see more of it and sends up the back signal to say hey. This is a good video, so try it out we'll see if it works, but now that we got all that out of the way. Let's talk about the z, flip 3. I've been excited since day, one I, I love the z-flip, and it's funny I was so anti-z-flip. I actually made a video about why you shouldn't buy the z-flip when it first came out.

Of course, a lot of that was durability. Issues like we were really concerned how they were going to hold up back then and plus, really expensive, and I was like it's only 1080p. It's only got this, and so I got that I was so wrong and I was like the first one in line to get the z flip 5 jibs, I've loved it. So much I've got mine right here. This is the second one, because my first one it's a long story, but I love the phone.

My favorite phone over the last year, the z flip 3 lots of improvement, so we've got the snapdragon triple eight we've still got eight gigs of ram. You can get two different storage options now 128 or 256. Of course, that is like the biggest thing that irks me now. Well, the second-biggest thing, the biggest thing that irks me is that the cameras are basically unchanged. The cameras are not that great they're, okay they're very, like capable cameras, they're good they're, not amazing, though, and at that price point I feel like they should be better, but the thing is the shtick.

The thing they're going after is getting more of these phones that do this into people's hands, and it's very it's very adequate, so people when they get that when people get it they're going to be largely happy. I think it's just as a tech consumer. As somebody who reviews and test this stuff out, I would like to see better for the price now. The other thing that irks me going back is that the color options are limited. I believe there are seven colors, only certain colors you can get in 128 and then once you go to 256 they're, not there anymore, especially the cream-colored option, which is my favorite.

I went with the 128. , I don't feel like. Furthermore, I should have to sacrifice what color I get because of the storage. Furthermore, I mean 128 256, not that big of a deal, but there's no expandable storage. So it's not like.

I can get hey this one and then throw a SD card in there and I don't want to get the more expensive one because they didn't have the color I want. So that's a decision. People are going to have to make, but I wish they would have just kept it at 256 and really just kind of flooded the market with these phones with the different color options. So people can get the ones that they want right. That's what we want so that I'm not crazy about, but I do like some colors.

The green one looks nice. I really love the cream color one, that's the one that I got. They got a pink one. A lot of people are gonna, be really happy with that. This phone, I think, is finally going to make foldable more mainstream, and you're like yeah, okay Nostradamus.

We all figured that out. That's that's the whole point, but no really I mean compared to last year with the z flip 5g compared to the z-fold 2. I think this one is really going to move some units and in the out in the out in the field. As I say out in the real world, you don't see a lot of people with these. Of course, over the last year and a half we haven't seen a lot of people, but out in the real world.

I haven't seen very many of these really at all, so I think you're, finally going to see a lot more people that have these foldable phones, particularly the flip, the fold three is still 17.99. That's a little bigger piece of foam to chew off. I don't think a lot of people are going to go out and grab that, I think plenty will. I think it's going to be good, but ultimately this one, the z-flip. Furthermore, I think it's dropped a little in the luxurious department to be more mainstream to get in people's hands, and so they can really corner the market.

Here I mean Samsung really is the only one? That's pushing these things. Of course, you got the Surface Duo. Lg is gone. They have they like that folding phone, as opposed to the foldable screen technology, and then we've got these guys over at Motorola, who I don't know what they're doing like. I would like them to talk about a new phone, but the z, flip 3 excites me power, snapdragon 8, I do have concerns about it.

It's not been the greatest when it comes to power, efficiency or heat. I've tested out in a lot of phones this last year. So I do worry about that. I worry that it's seriously going to impact the battery and especially with the 120 hertz refresh rate, if you're not familiar with that. That's kind of a thing that's been going on the last year or two: these phones, with enhanced refresh rates make for a nice, smoother scrolling experience, make it like a reduction in motion blur when playing games and watching videos.

I like it. I love using phones with 120 hertz, the fold 2 has it now on the inside the fold 3 is going to have it on the outside and the inside, but 120 hertz display snapdragon, eight cool new colors, a little more sleek design. It's going to have this different aluminum body. That's made out of it's supposed to be a little lighter and more durable and overall, I think it's just a gorgeous looking phone. I think it's really appealing, and we're going to get that screen on the outside.

So whereas we had this tiny little viewfinder, this little rink dink thing on the z, flip and z, flip 5g, there's a more large and usable touchscreen like this. The one on the Motorola racer is still a little bigger than the one on the z-flip three, but I think with the z flip three. I think it's going to be great, because you can actually see like four character rows. You can see actual text messages and notifications. You have some little menus on there.

So I like that, I'm really happy. That's coming! That's what we needed! That's what I complained about the most in the z, flip, 5g, so z, flip 3 screens on the outside 120 hertz, refresh rate snapdragon.8. From what I hear. It's got improved speakers. It's got ipx8 water resistance, now, not dust.

Furthermore, it's still got little bristles in there. So when you open it and close it, it sweeps everything out so that stuff doesn't get in there. Ideally, but it's actually ipx8 water resistant. So you can drop this not this. This is a z, flip 5g.

You can drop the z, flip 3 in up to a meter and a half of water for up to half an hour due to the oil and the coatings and stuff and the seals they put on the inside. It should be safe, of course, that's not salt, water or chlorinated pool water. That will can still potentially mess things up and degrade the components and that grease that's in there over time. So be careful with that. It's a protective measure, not a recreational measure.

It's not designed to go, take it out in the ocean or take it in the swimming pool. But if you drop it in the toilet, you're good right, yeah don't do that anyway. So why am I so excited? Well because it really needed the screen on the outside the z-flip needed that screen. I learned that I didn't mind so much when I just had the regular z-flip 5g, but after I bought this Motorola racer 5g, I fell in love with it like it really made me have second thoughts like I feel like I was cheating on my z-flip. I was like.

Don't worry babe. I still love you right, but I was loving the racer 5g. Really. I still do it's a good phone. Furthermore, I can't wait for them to come out with another one, but now we have everything I kind of wanted absent.

The better cameras, like the cameras are okay. I would like to see better, but I'm sure we'll get that next year. Really. I think the aim here was to get out in more people's pockets and that's what I'm also excited about. Furthermore, I think a lot of people are really going to finally be able to get it, and it's like you can share this experience with people.

People can go out there and get the cool phone now. It's not like fifteen hundred dollars after taxes, good trade-in deals elsewhere. Really I mean I've. I've heard some stuff with like T-Mobile and I think Verizon are offering some good trade-in deals. Don't quote me on that, but it's going to be the easiest foldable for people to get their hands on.

I love the technology. It's super cool. It's super fun. People are really going to be able to enjoy this whole flipping life again with the flip phone and there's key upgrades in it, I mean the water resistance is cool. The screen is great.

The 120 hertz refresh rate, also I've been really waiting for that. The only concern I have is the battery life. It still only has a 3300 my battery the one on the z, flip 5g has not been the greatest, but this is going to be one of those. Your mileage may vary thing, I'm a superpower user. I kill the thing with about four hours of screen on time, maybe three hours and 45 minutes on a rough day.

It's just not been that great, so adding that snapdragon triple eight and the 120 hertz refresh rate. I do worry that it's going to eat through the battery, but it's going to be a really fun experience, while it eats through the battery I'll guarantee you that. So I like what they've done here, I like the design. I think that it's this is a perfect time for this phone to come out. It's going to make a lot of people happy, I'm really happy about it already.

I can't wait for mine to get here. I've already pre-ordered if it's gonna, be good. Also. Furthermore, I recommend getting a case uh. The z-flips traditionally have been very slick.

It's something that's very easy to drop. I mean I've made videos where I'm like, while I'm making the video get one of the cases, especially if you get it through Samsung use some of that trading credit or that whatever just the credit they give you really and get one of their cases. The Samsung leather cases are the best, my most favorite case for the z-flip and the z-flip 5g. I expect nothing less for the z-flip 3. Go ahead and grab you one of those.

It's got an actually new screen protector. The screen protector, that's on the 5g version, is terrible. It's disgusting. I hate it, but you have to clean it all the time it's miserable. This new one is supposed to be a lot better, so I've heard good things about it and I just can't wait to get my hands on it.

I got to wait about two weeks if you're, seeing this later on down the road, I've probably already got it but really excited about it. I think it's going to be the one of the better phones of the year, and I'm going to use this one as my daily driver when I'm not testing other phones for probably the next year, just because it's such a fun device. Furthermore, I love the flipping. It's just you'll see when you get it trust me anyway. That's all I've got in this video.
