Huawei P40 vs Samsung Galaxy S20 Camera Test

Hello guys, my name is Preston and welcome to a brand-new camera comparison between the Huawei P 40 against the Samsung Galaxy s 20. Currently, we are shooting at 4k at 30 frames per second tell me in the comment section below which one do you think has a better stabilization and which one has a better dynamic range. The P 40 has a 32 megapixel camera and can shoot videos up to 4k at 60 frames per second, the s20 has a 10 megapixel camera, but also can shoot 4k videos at 60 frames per second, we have switched now to the rear cameras, and currently we are using the main camera and shooting at 4k at 30 frames per second again tell me in the comments section below which one do you like better? We are now using the ultra-wide cameras and, as you can see, the s 20 is even wider compared to the P 40. It does also have better colors and a better dynamic range. We are using the telephoto cameras. Now and again we have the same story.

The s 20 has much better colors and a much better dynamic range. Now, let's start with some pictures using the front camera you can see here, both phones did a good job. Exposing my face and both have great dynamic range I do prefer. However, they have 20 a little more just like before. We have very similar results here, but again, I do prefer the colors a bit more on the s 20.

The same story is in this case -. The p40 is no way too flat for my taste, and it also lost the dynamic range. The s 20 is much better in this case again, the p40 is too flat compared to the s 20, but I do actually prefer the P 40, because my face is better handled again here. I do prefer how my face is better handled on the P 40. It is more natural compared to the s 20, now, switching to the rear cameras you can see here both are very similar in terms of sharpness and colors.

If we use the ultra-wide camera, however, the s 20 is much wider compared to the P 40. It has also better colors. The distortion is too obvious when we use the telephoto cameras again, you can see the results are very similar. You can see on the red bricks, however, that the p40 has a better contrast. Moving to another location, you can see here that the s20 is brighter and has punchy air colors compared to the p40, which has more true-to-life colors I.

Like both implementations, the same story is with the ultra white cameras too, but here I do prefer the picture taken from the s20, because this is wider and the colors are more pleasing for the eyes, with a telephoto camera again very similar results just like before the s20 is brighter and sharper compared to the more true to life p40 in this next shot, the p40 did a better job, exposing the trees, the s20 is warmer, but it is also darker in some parts when we use the ultra white camera, you can see. The results are different now, with the s20 being brighter, with better colors, but again on the p40. We have no distortion at all. The telephoto camera in this case is again brighter and sharper on the s20 invest case here you can see that, because of the bigger sensor the p40 has blurred the buildings. In the background, the s20, with its smaller sensor, has everything in focus.

The ultra-wide camera again is wider and has better colors and dynamic range on the s20. In this case we have the full 50 megapixel shot on the p40 against the 64 mega pixel on the s20 you can see both are sharper than before, but again in terms of colors. We have mostly the same results. You can see here that the picture is brighter on the s20, but the trees are better exposed on the p40. In this case, both are very similar to each other.

But again the s20 is brighter. I do prefer your ds2 anymore, because it is sharper and has better contrast. The p40 is too flat for my taste for this last daylight shot. You can see again that the bigger sensor on the p40 has less area in focus compared to the s20 moving to low-light. You can see that the p40 is brighter, but I do prefer the picture on the s2 any, because my face is more in focus again in this next case.

Furthermore, you can see that the s20 did a much better job, exposing my face. The lack of an autofocus on the p40 really does make a difference for worse. If we use the flash, however, the p40 managed to keep a balance between my face and the background. The s20 did brighten my face, but the background is worse. Switching to the rear cameras, I do prefer here the picture taken from the p40 because it is brighter and sharper if we use night mode over, the s20 did a much better job, sharpening the image and also made it brighter.

The p40, on the other hand, looks worse compared to the regular shot without night mode. Next, if we use the ultra-wide camera, both are much worse compared to the main lens. The s20, however, is a little brighter and better using the night mode. Again, you can see that the s20 is much brighter and better. The p40 is also brighter, but it has a lot of noise.

I do prefer the p40 here, because it is brighter and sharper, but for some reason is built with the red text. I had the same problem with other Huawei devices with night mode, both became brighter and sharper, and both are very similar. In this case, the ultra-wide cameras did impress me a lot because I didn't use night mode and both are very visible with night mode. They became even better. The s20, especially, is incredible, and this case the s20 is sharper, but the p40 has more natural colors.

When we use night mode, the p40 becomes much sharper but not brighter. The s20 became brighter, but it kind of lost the sharpness again in this case here without night mode, the p40 is brighter, but it isn't as sharp as the s20 with a night mode. It became a little darker, but it is much sharper. The s20 is brighter and this time it kept the sharpness overall I am very impressed with the cameras on both phones. If you did enjoy this video a thumbs up would be appreciated.

Thank you for watching.
