HTC U20 and Desire 20 Announced! Will HTC make a comeback?

Hey, what's going on guys Adam here, so this is actually my first video on my second channel and which is more tech, whitey, and I'm, sure, and I'm. Sure, mostly, you know my main channel, which is that tech dude whitey, which yeah it's my main channel. But this is my secondary channel and this is actually gonna, be my first video, so I'm going to be talking about today. Some tech news, some new phones that got released and yeah just a very simple video. Let's get started, so the first news is that HTC is making a comeback. So some of you may know that the HTC Desire xx pro got released, but they also got a little of a higher end product, which is the HTC u-20 and, as you know, the desired xx pro.

But people already knew about the desire xx pro. But not a lot of people know about the HTC: u 25 G! So let's talk about some specifications, but before I start on that, as you guys know, HTC is actually making a comeback. They haven't been making phones for a little of a while and say two to three years now, and they were focusing more on like other products and not focusing on their phones as much, but now I guess they're making the comeback. They were one of the biggest smartphone companies in like 2013-2014, but they've been in a huge decline ever since and yeah here's an HTC phone right here. This is actually one of my favorite HTC phones, the HTC Amaze 4G.

So now that we're getting a comeback from you know, HTC I'm pretty excited to see what HTC is doing so, first, yeah, the HTC u-20 is actually the higher-end, which I already told you, but this actually comes with 5g connectivity which actually, in my opinion, I, don't really care about 5g. Yet because it's not really properly, you know it's not really properly made yet, and so my opinion is kind of useless, and you know one of the things I do not like about the HTC u-20 is the 6.8 f8f HD + LCD I do not like the LCD for considering that this is a mid-range device. This should have an OLED panel. It's for this. You know for a mid-range phone most mid-range.

Most mid-range phones should have an OLED display, but what is good is that it does come with a five thousand William hour battery, which is actually really great. You know most phones that are mid-range, usually come with four thousand William hour batteries, or something like that. Actually most phones come with like four thousand William hour batteries, including my one plus seven Pro. So you know to see a five thousand William hour. Battery is actually pretty impressive, we're also getting an impressive eight gigabytes of RAM, which is actually not too bad.

Now, I'm, not sure if this is gonna really compete with the one + Z or 1 + Word. That is coming out. You know later this year because the OnePlus ignored or the OnePlus see that it's called is going to have up to 12 gigabytes of RAM, not only that it's going to have an OLED display, so it's really going to be better, but this does have a forty, eight megapixel, camera and I actually do like the hole punch on more the side instead of the middle, because it seems like the OnePlus in order the OnePlus see whatever you want to call it. It's going to have the hole punch in the middle. Also.

Another thing I was disappointed. By of this HTC u-20 is the fingerprint scanner it's on the back like this is like a 20-18 design. I mean not the camera. I'm saying that the know you shouldn't have a regular fingerprint scanner. You should have an in display fingerprint one at least optical, because optical, my opinion is actually better than you know them even the more secure one because way, faster and I mean I.

Guess it's fine. If it really depends on what you like more I, mean if you like the fingerprint display I mean the fingerprint on the back, then you'll like this, but for most people I, don't think they'll like it, and they would like optical now. This is probably one of the most disappointing things, and that is the price. Now the price, no one actually really knows yet, but as expected, the price will be around 600 d, but bucks, which is actually more than like a usual. You know, then it a usual.

You know a small usual mid-range smartphone. This is like competing with the one plus eight, which has a snapdragon 865. So in my opinion this is more supposed to be a high-end, but it's using a mid-range chip which is really weird now to be fair. It does have some pretty good specifications and I think will do the job. But honestly it really won't compete with the OnePlus Word and, in my opinion, HTC is kind of done.

Anyway. Let's talk about some more tech news, and that is the VIVO x50 pro now this was I believe denounced yet was announced, but I am so excited about this phone, because I think this will be one of the best phones this year like seriously. This is gonna, be a great phone and here's. Why I want to show you some specifications here now we do have a six point: five, six 1080p display, which is nothing special. It's definitely not great.

It's 1080p, so not the best, and we do have a 50 megapixel camera. Now that I can record in 4k. So that's great, but what's special about this camera is that this phone has a gimbals camera. Now some people might not know what that is. It's very complicated, I can't really explain it, but in a nutshell, this camp- this camera setup right here, makes basically video super, super.

Super stable, like extremely stable, more stable than oh, is ORI. Is it's like you're filming, like a movie almost like? It's super, super steady, great camera tech in there, so I'm very, very excited for that, but not only as great specifications. Besides, that I mean yes, the 1080p displays in great, but we also got eight year, 12 Karo, bytes and RAM with the snapdragon 865, which is awesome. Now I am concerned about this 43:15 William hour battery, because this is powering a 120 Hertz display yeah you're that right 120 Hertz. Now most people are doing 120 Hertz, but with all this stuff like and the price of 630 euros which, by the way, is literally like, like 700 bucks like USD.

So this is a great price, and it does some amazing things like I. Don't I think this is gonna, be the best deal because you basically have everything besides. The amazing display like this is still a really, really good display, just not as good as something like the 1 plus a pro or something like that. But one thing it does have is a very good screen to body ratio as and about a 90 percent screen to body ratio, so not that bad 398, pixels per inch density, which is fine I mean it's not great. I might even consider switching to this at some point, maybe in like one year or something like that now that that will be a little outdated, but it does so of Android 10.

So yeah might you know, consider switching I, don't know what do you guys think, but not only that they have the VIVO X 50 and the X 50 Pro. Now the VIVO X 50 I, don't recommend you getting just because it doesn't have the gimbals camera doesn't have all that really cool things, but the VIVO X 50 Pro is still actually pretty good because it has. The same display has the close to the same camera. Still it's only 48 megapixels compared to 50, which is almost not really a difference, but still very good and also a gigabytes Ram. Only the snapdragon 765 G, but a lot of people are gonna, be completely fine with that and the same battery.

What's even better is that it's a 90 Hertz display, so I'll have better battery. Now this comes a little cheaper, not as cheap as I was expecting, but 633 US dollars. So, okay, not, not great, but it's definitely. Okay, especially if you wanted to get you know something that you know you want a great camera with the gimbals. You know with the gimbals camera and a great screen and I mean it has a pretty good screen to body ratio, as you can see from the pictures and all the pretty good specs that will last you a few years.

If you were curious, 765 G is actually perfect. It's almost as good I believe it's as is the same power, so we're between the Snapdragon 8:45 in the Snapdragon 855, so almost as powerful as a one plus seven pro or any phones from last year and ya really couldn't complain. Well, anyways guys, that's basically it and once again I'm kind of excited that HTC is coming back, but honestly I think they met their fate, and they're I. Don't think they're ever going to be the big smartphone brand that we remember them, but definitely interesting to see, and I'm also very excited about the VIVO x50 pro next 50 pro plus yeah, by the way guys make sure to subscribe to my main channel, which is that tested, whitey, and I'll see you guys later. Peace out.
