Hi there this is Transit from tech, tubers, calm and in this video I'm going to do a quick unboxing of this HTC Explorer Android phone. This is a budget Android phone from HTC, and quite a few of you have asked me to review budget-friendly Android phone, and this HTC Explorer is the most pocket-friendly Android phone from HTC, and this runs on Android Gingerbread, that's 2.3! Now let me just quickly break the seal. So let's look at the box, and it says that MRP price for this phone is twelve thousand nine hundred and ninety. But this phone is available in the retail market for about ten thousand or ten thousand five hundred I've, given the link of Flipkart below so that you can check the latest pricing, and it says that we get one set of handset battery warranty, guide, Quick, Start, Guide, etc. , and we also get a micro SD card. That's 2 GB and due note that with the HTC Explorer you do not get a headset, but in India they are bundling the headset.
But it's not inside the package. You get it separately. So if you are purchasing it in India, ask for the headset. Now, let's look at the back side of the phone, and here we have some specification. This HTC phone is known as HTC explorer.
Also, the internal name is a 310 Yi and the CPU on this phone is just 600 megahertz, but don't be fooled by that, because this phone also has a dedicated GPU that helps the phone a lot. Besides, this runs on the HTC Sense, that's 3.5 and the total storage on the phone is 512 MB and out of that available store, it is just 90 MB, but I think so. It comes down to 105 MB of available space, but we do have micros slot, so you can expand the storage, and by default we get a 2 GB micros card pre-installed on the phone. So, let's just quickly see what comes inside the box, so I'm going to open the box now, and we just slide it like this to reveal the phone and, first and foremost, we have the phone itself I'm just going to invert this box, and we keep the phone on the side and, let's see what accessories do we get? This is a power up charger, that's a USB power charger, nothing special, and we do have a USB to microUSB, cable standard stuff, and we do have the battery. Let me look at the same, and it's a 1230 milliampere battery and I feel that the battery should be more than enough for this phone, because the screen of this phone is just 3.2 inches, and we do get this handy pamphlet, which explains all the buttons etc. and the controls on the phone.
And what else we have? We have some literature contact us I guess this gives the numbers of all the service centers all over the world, warranty statement and safety and regulatory guide- and this is the phone itself. I have inserted the sim and the battery in the same, and it does have the HTC Sense UI. Let me first give you a quick physical overview of the phone and I like the feel of the phone very much it's very comfortable to hold and the build quality looks very good, no creaking noise or anything like that, and one interesting feature that I've seen is that this entire back cover is made up of thick rubber, so they should resist a lot of scratches, etc. and on the front of we, have a 3.2-inch LCD screen and which has a resolution of 320 by 480 on the top. We have.
We have a couple of sensors ambient light sensor and the proximity sensor. This phone does not have a front-facing camera and I guess we shouldn't expect that for the price this phone is selling, and we have a nice, your piece, it's a larger piece and moving down. We have four capacitive touch sensitive buttons, one is for home menu back and search, and let's go to the top on the top. We have a 3.5 mm, headphone jack. Furthermore, we have the power on/off button over here and on this side we have the volume rocker, and we don't have anything else over here on the bottom.
Furthermore, we have pinhole, that's for the mic, I guess this is for the lanyard, and we do have the micro USB slot over here that will be used for syncing and charging the phone and on the back we have a 3 megapixel camera. But this is a fixed, focused camera, and we have this brushed metal on which HTC is written, looks pretty nice, and we do have an indent over here for the speakerphone and to insert the battery. We have a small indent over here, and we need to pull that. It's pretty tight, and we pull that and let me zoom in- and we have the battery over here and we, you can insert a micro SD card over here. You do get a 2 GB micros card with the phone and the SIM card goes over here, and it fits tightly no creaking noise or anything like that.
So the fit is pretty good and the rubber back feels very good to hold it, and this runs on the HTC Sense 3.5, and this runs on Android Gingerbread, so I'll be doing a quick, detailed review of this phone. So if you have any specific questions regarding this phone, please post them in the comment section below I'll be more than happy to include them in my main review. I hope you found this video helpful, that's it for now. This is Randy from tech to bus, comm, and hopefully I'm going to see you in my next video.
