How to Extend Apple Watch Battery During Activity to 25 Hours!

In, this quick video, I'm going to show you how to dramatically extend your battery life when you're tracking an activity using the workout app on the Apple Watch. Now I have an Apple Watch six I was able to go from seven hours to 25 hours of activity. Tracking. The caveats are: you have to turn off heart rate monitoring, and you have to have an iPhone with you paired with the watch, while you're doing your activity. Now, what you do is you just go into the settings for your watch, go to workout and then turn on power saver. What power saver will do is it'll turn off the heart rate, monitor and the GPS on your watch.

But what happens is that your watch takes the GPS feed from your iPhone, which has a much bigger battery, much better battery life and applies it to your workout, so you'll still be able to get the distance traveled your pace and all the um GPS based data that you would normally use. When I do this, I get about four percent battery drain an hour. Obviously it's going to vary based on. What's going on. In your watch, what you have turned on and turned off, but that's pretty much with the default settings on my watch four percent an hour um in power, saver mode with workout.

Now wait, there's actually a way you can get heart rate without having the wrist based optical heart rate. Sensor on what you need is you need to get a Bluetooth chest? Strap heart rate, monitor you simply pair this with your watch, not the phone with the watch, and that will record your heart rate without draining the battery down. Now. To prove this, I took the watch off of my wrist and saw that I still have a heart rate and also, if you look back at your workouts, you can see the heart rate data there. Now.

The only glitch is that in the apple workout app it doesn't show the heart rate. So it looks like if you have power saving mode on in the workout app for apple. It won't show heart rate, no matter what, even if it's getting it from the external Bluetooth sensor, but other apps like work outdoors. It does have it in there. So uh pretty cool yeah, give it a try if you have any tips or tricks, leave them in the comments under the video.

If you found this useful, if you could do me a favor and just click little thumbs up, I definitely appreciate it. Thanks guys, you.
