Google Pixel 4 XL Drop Test & Review With Spigen Cases By Josh Quinonez

Another six foot drop test, 3 to 100 right, alright, hey, what's going on everybody, Josh cabin is here, and today we're going to be taking a look at some cases by sign for the Google Pixel for X out now. This is actually my first time reviewing these cases on the channel for any device and actually went out and purchased them myself. They were not provided to me by the company, so we're going to go ahead and take a quick look at all four of them right here see how well they fit the device, how the buttons work on them, the cutouts all that good stuff and see how they work with wireless charging as well. Then, once we're done taking a look at all of them, we're gonna, head outside and do a little drop test to see just how protective they are for your Google Pixel 4xl. Now these are actually very affordable cases, starting with the one right here at the left. This is the matte black rugged armor case going for $9.99, and then we got the liquid-air case right here going for 1099, and then we have the gunmetal Neo Hybrid going for $13.99, and then we have the tough armor case in black going for 1499. Now these two over here on the right are actually going to be the more protective cases out of all four of them.

These are a little more bendy I guess you would say a little more flimsy, but still going to give the device some protection. So let's go ahead and try them on alright. So starting off with the rugged armored cases you can see here, it is a bit more of a flimsy case, so doesn't feel super sturdy or anything like that, but does have a nice soft touch to it in the back feeling perfect in the hands. Let's go ahead and throw it on the device slaps in there nice and good and fits nice and tight in there as well, doesn't feel like the device is going to risk falling out. If you happen to drop, it fits on their very well, and if you notice here on the display, you actually have a nice lip around the edges.

With this case so say you want to set your device flat down on its display. It should raise it a little and protect it from getting scratched or if you happen, to drop it light on the flat surface that should hopefully protect it as well now going down to the cutouts you'll see here we got good cutouts for the charging port speaker and the microphone. This does look like another speaker here. Let me go ahead and get it in focus. That does look like another speaker there, but it is a fake speaker.

That is not a second speaker down at the bottom. I am assuming they have another microphone in there, and then you have a cutout for the phone up top, and then they cut out for the camera in the back. Now it is not the deepest cut out, but it is deep enough to protect it from any light drops on a flat surface or if you're, just going to go ahead and set it flat down on its back, but overall feels like a great case, let's check out the buttons power button working good. Let me go ahead and get in my face unlock there. We go.

Let's check out the volume rockers volume, rockers working good as well flow, very click there, so no problems at all, and it actually feels really. Nice too, like I said it has a nice soft touch in the back a little carbon fiber design going on down there, little speaking branding and then another design going on up here up top, and then you got some texture here on the sides to help it stay secure in your hands, so it doesn't slip out. But yes, this is the rugged Armour case. Let's move on to the next one, all right. So next up is the liquid-air case.

As you can see here, this is going to be another flimsy case right. There, almost feeling exactly like the rugged armor case, just with a different design in the back, but let's go ahead and check it out, stops on the phone a nice and easily feels nice and secure the back has a different texture to it than what we have on the rugged armor, but it actually feels very good in the hands feels nice and secure as well, because you do have texture on the sides here and then the cutout for the camera is actually a little deeper as well. So it's going to give it a little more protection if you happen to drop it on its back now, moving over to the buttons. Let's check out the power button, power button seems to be working: fine, let's go ahead and check out the volume, rockers volume, rockers working good as well cutouts, going to be the same on the bottom, nice cutouts for the charging port, speaker and microphone and then another cutout up top for that microphone. Nothing on the left.

Obviously, we have no buttons over here, and then you also have a nice lip around the display, as well as I, said earlier. If you happen to drop it flat on its face, a light fall or if you happen to just set it down on its desk, it should be protected on any flat surface. But yes, this is the liquid-air case, like I, said feeling good in the hands, not too bad. Let's go ahead and move on to the next case. So next up we have the Neo Hybrid case, which is exactly what the name says it is.

It is a hybrid case, as you can see here in the middle. We have that flexible material that we saw in the previous cases over here and then around the edges. We have a nice hard shell. Now this is a two-piece case, but you don't have to take it apart in order to put the device in now in order to put the device in this case, since this is harder on the top, and then it's softer on the bottom. You don't have the hard shell going all the way around.

The bottom you're going to want to start out at the top slip it in there on the top, and then it'll be easier to just slip it right and on the bottom goes in nice and easy feels nice and secure in there. Let's check out the buttons power button working good, as you can see there. Let me go ahead and face unlock this, and we'll check out the D volume. Rockers volume, rockers, feeling good as well. Nice and click feels nice and sturdy, and it feels like a really nice protective case.

It's really going to protect this device. Camera cutout up here is even deeper than the last two cases we just looked at so really going to give that camera some protection. The back, actually feels perfect. This nice soft material, but around the edges like I, said it is a harder material, so definitely going to protect it from any side, Falls or corner drops or anything like that. Then you got the cutouts at the bottom, looking good cutout at the top for the microphone looking good as well, and then gives you an even deeper lip than the previous cases.

As well so, overall, looking like a good nice protective case, this is the Neo Hybrid case. Ok, so last but not least, is the tough Armour case which looks like it's going to be the most durable out of all four cases here. As you can see, it does have a harder outer shell right here, but at the top and the bottom you have that soft flexible material like we saw on the first two cases going all the way in to the inside. This is a two-piece case, but like the one before we don't have to take it apart in order to put the device in there. So let me go ahead and throw it in there.

It goes in pretty nice and easy. As you can see, there slept in there perfect. Now it actually feels even more durable than all the other. Three cases feels nice and sturdy in the hand, feels actually feels perfect, like it's really going to protect that device. As you can see here, you'll notice a kickstand in the back.

Now it does feel a little flimsy I, don't think you'll be able to stand. Nope can't stand it up like that, but you will be able to stand it up like that, so the kickstand is only going to be good for landscape I. Wouldn't put it like that because it is a bit flimsy, so you can see there go ahead and put that back in their camera cutout a nice deep camera cutout there really going to protect that camera. Let's check out the buttons power button seems to be working good. Let me go ahead and face unlock this, and then we have the volume rockers on the side.

As you can see there, let's check those out working good. Now they are a bit harder to find because they don't pop out. They are flat with the whole side of this case, so you're really going to have to feel for the little texture right there to feel those volume rockers, and then we've got a cutout up top for at the microphone cutouts on the bottom, looking good as well, and then all around the sides is just smooth until you get here to the bottom. You've got this little of texture going on there, but overall feels like a great protective case, really going to protect us from Falls. Like I said we're going to go outside in a bit test it out to see just how protective it is.

You do get a nice lip all around the edges to protect it from any of those flat Falls on any flat surfaces. Now one thing I forgot to do was test out wireless charging with all these cases, so we'll go ahead and start with this one see if it is compatible with wireless charging. There you go boom wireless charging works. Let's try out the next case. All right now, checking out the Neo Hybrid, let's check it out, throw it on there.

Wireless charging working good. Next up is the liquid-air: let's test this out wireless charging working good next case, and then we got the rugged armor. So let's go ahead and test this out and of course it is going to work with the wireless charging. So, so far, all the cases are looking good now. The next thing we got to do is head outside.

Do a little drop test. I just want to remind you guys that the links for these cases will be down in the description below in case you find yourself interested in any of them. So let's go ahead and make our way outside all right. So I have made my way outside, as you can see here, we're going to start off with this case, since I already had it on the device. Now this isn't one of their most protective cases that they have to offer, so we're going to start off with a light fall here, little three-foot drop.

Here we go three two ones. Alright, let's check it out now it did land on its back, as you can see, there's no damage done to the display, no damage done to the camera. Let's go ahead and do it one more time three, two one woo now that did land pretty hard on the corner. Etsy the display is looking good, doesn't look any damage to be done. The camera looks good as well.

Let's go a little higher. This is about five feet right here we go three two one: oh okay. Alright, let's check it out cameras. Looking fine, let's check out the display. The display is looking a good as well now I don't want to drop it too.

Much with this case because, like I said this isn't their most durable case, but as you can see, they're from a 5 foot, 3 foot drop, it worked just fine, you can see. No damage is done there. There is a little of dust right there, so I want to make sure I get that off before that, scratches the display other than that. Looking good. Let's move on to the next case, all right! So next up we got the Neo Hybrid, as you can see here.

Looking a lot more durable than the previous case. We just tested now I'm, not gonna, test the liquid air because that's pretty much the same material as the last case, pretty much going to be the same result. So let's go ahead and drop test with this one right here, so you can see that you got a nice deep cut out for the camera. Let's check out the lips around the display one more time, looking good, so I'm going to go ahead and just start off with about a 5-foot drop test right here. Here we go 3 2 1, oh all! Right now it did look like it landed on its back.

The display is looking good, and I got an airplane flying over me. Hopefully that not over powering my voice here. The camera looks fine as well, so let's go ahead and do this again, another 5 foot drop test I'm going to drop it this way, 3 2 1, oh okay! It did look like it landed on that the display, but then flipped over to its back. As you can see, a little damage was done to the case itself, but no damage done to the display. So the phone is looking good so far, but yes, the case did take some damage, just think about it.

That could have been the device cameras looking good. So let's go ahead and move on to the next case. Alright. So last up, we have our tough armored case. Look in the most durable out of all the cases I had here today.

So let's go ahead and do this 5 foot drop test, 3, 2 1, oh ok! That was it a bit hard, but looking at it, it looks pretty good. Look at the display. Looking fine and after this drop test will test out we'll check out the back of the device to see if there are any cracks as well cameras. Looking good, let's do a little higher now. This is about 6 feet right here: 3, 2, 1! Oh all, right, it sounds like it's protecting the device very good.

It doesn't even sound like it's hitting the ground hard at all. Now, that's just a little of dust there onto the display. I, don't see any scratches, looking good, let's go ahead and do this one more time. Another 6 foot drop test 3 to 100 right. Alright, let's check it out check it out for the last drop test, and it's looking good I, don't see any damages done at all cameras.

Looking good. Let me go ahead and take the case off, so we can check out the back of the device. So looking at the back of the device, I actually don't see any damages done at all, no cracks, no scratches. They actually did a very good job. Protecting this device, both at the back and the front.

It's looking very, very good I am impressed, so there you have it. This has been the case line up by sign for the Google Pixel 4 XL.
