Google Pixel 3a XL Unboxing & Hands-on

Today at Google I/o, the pixel 3 a finally went official. Here's what you need to know about Google's, first budget pixel device: we've got our hands on a Pixel 3a XL and the first thing that you'll note about this device is what comes in the box. Unlike the standard pixel 3 is there are no headphones or a dongle in here, but you still get the same. USB see fast charger and quick switch adapter. That lack of headphones is largely because for the first time since the original, the Pixel 3a has a headphone jack up top. It's a welcome return, but far from the only thing, that's changed you, the hardware on the pixel, 3a and three AXL are entirely made of plastic, and that creates a stark difference in weight compared to the standard pixel 3.

Even if the overall size is nearly the same. I also quickly notice that the glossy portion up top was easy to dirty with fingerprints on the just black model and the textured plastic that makes up the rest of the phone feels sturdy, but somewhat cheap as well. What's most important about this device, though, is that it still has the same stellar camera as the pixel 3 and pixel 3 XL. The single sensor does lack the visual cortex in the regular pixel 3, but it still takes stunning photos and even includes Google's revolutionary night sight feature up front. There are also some big differences.

The 3a XL is the same basic size as the premium model, but it lacks a notch and loses almost a half inch of screen real estate. There's also no front-facing speakers on this device instead offering a bottom firing speaker, which is backed up by the earpiece. The display on this phone is also still surprisingly, an OLED panel, but it's clearly not up to par with the more expensive devices. The Ewing angles are pretty unimpressive and the separation between the glass and the display is really pretty obvious in person still for the starting price of $399. That Google is asking for these phones they're, going to make waves in the industry for their cameras alone.

We'll have much more Pixel 3a coverage in the coming days, including a full review. So leave a comment down below and let us know you want to see in that stay tuned for more right here at 95, Google and read all of our Google I/o coverage on 95 google. com.
