Galaxy S20 Ultra Camera Update | It Got Worse | 1BTH4 September Update

This might be it guys. This might be one of our last, if not our last Samsung Galaxy s20, ultra videos, you're saying Aaron what happened? Well, it's its time to move on it's time to let go there's so much new tech to play with and well I'm trading mine in, but first, let's go ahead and take a quick walk down memory lane as to what led us to this point here. This was a device that I was not overly excited about. When it came out, the specs were good, but I just wasn't. I wasn't wowed by the camera and that's what it came down to so update after update the camera started to get better, but it still wasn't what I was looking for now. It could be exactly what you're looking for it might be: the perfect camera you're using it.

I'm not trying to talk you out of it. I'm not trying to talk you out of your own opinion, but we have another treat in store for us. We have another update from Samsung where's my s20 ultra it's in my phone, so pro phone soap is a device that cleans your phone with UV lights from free of germs bacteria or anything else, that's gross, and in this world of this pandemic up and down numbers and tolls and everything else you need a clean phone, so link will be in the description. I earn a little of something every time you click on one of my affiliate links. Anything you can do to support the channel.

I greatly appreciate it here. We have in our hand an unlocked Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra it has this giant camera hump, which is the most obtrusive camera hump that we've ever seen to date. I like the color. I wish it came in more colors, it's a fingerprint magnet, and I'm highlighting that for you right here, but today, most importantly, we have a new update. Furthermore, I want to go ahead and get into that update with you and just share some details about what it actually entails.

So this update says security of your device has improved. Software updates can include, but not limited to device stability, bug, fixes new and enhanced features, further improvements to performance. This one it looks like it is uh bth4 update. So let's go ahead and just get this installed right now, dig into it and see what changes if any, there are a few moments later. So here we are back nice, good and updated, and I want to go ahead and bring something to your announcement.

I did not do a video on the last update the late August, one because it kind of forced me to do it, and I wasn't ready to record a video on it, but some things that we may have missed is wireless DEX connection support, so wireless connect through TVs through direct Wi-Fi. So this is pretty amazing added a bunch of new features to decks. Wi-Fi got better always on display. Now you've got Bitmoji clock style, so that's pretty cool. A Samsung keyboard has been updated with some new things.

The camera pro mode has been enhanced, so uh messages. A feature has been added to allow the user to call a person who is saved as a pre-configured. So's message contact, I don't really understand what that is, but thank you Samsung. So that's what that update was this one? It looks pretty simple: it's just calling it a security patch update. However, they always fit in there.

The new or enhanced features. So I'm always hoping the camera experience is going to get a little better, so you're thinking to yourself Aaron. Are we really going to do the silly camera test again? The answer is yes, and if you're wondering, why am I creating this funky little scene, and I'm pushing the close-up video photo capabilities to the limit is because that's our baseline, that's what I started doing I'm using that as a way to determine if that exact scene and setting has improved with the functionality, and you know what it's worked, and it has improved over time. So let me get that set up, and I'll be right. Back you all see that it's not good! Is it and you can see.

This is one of the reasons why I have not been a fan of this device uh for a long while is because the autofocus is something to be desired, and I'm okay, giving a phone a camera phone a moment to focus and to get caught up to speed, I'm okay with that that doesn't bother me, but when you just have such a hard time doing it. So, okay, so tap here two times. So this is supposed to get you closer up, but you can be further away from the subject, so it allows you to take a better photo. This is kind of working, not entirely it's a feature. It's a fix.

I'm glad Samsung came out with it. It allows us to take photos kind of like macro lens style, without really having a macro lens built into the device. It is making use of the existing hardware through enhanced software, which, in my opinion, is exactly what needs to happen so good job for that Samsung. So I hate to say it, but between the august and the September update, I feel like the camera has actually gotten worse, and you're. Thinking to yourself Aaron, how could the camera get worse? I feel like the autofocus and the device has had very little use.

It hasn't been going on crazy trips. It hasn't had a chance to get the lenses screwed up or any parts it's been sitting in the studio on and off a charger every once in a while. That's it that's it, and it's still giving us results like that kind of sad but Samsung. I have faith in you. You came out with the note 20 ultra phenomenal camera experience, so hopefully these devices that come after this one have learned their lesson right, Samsung packed so much into this.

So many features so much software trying to get the best user experience and give us everything they thought we wanted, and it just might have ended up being a little too much now the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra. Since this is the last time I may be, making a video about it. I would like to share my overall experience: let's remove the camera from the situation, throw it over there and, let's just say, smartphones, don't have cameras for a moment. This is one of the best devices I've ever used in my whole life, so that is saying something and I have used a lot of smartphones with that being said, we buy smartphones for cameras, so we can take pictures, create content share with our friends and family and, more importantly, stay connected. This device will help you do that.

It'll get you through a whole day of battery. If not longer, the screen is phenomenal. The software fast quick snappy, it's almost perfect, but it's not quite perfect. So it's something to think about. If you're out there right now shopping for a new smartphone.

If battery is your big concern, if you need to get through the day without having to worry about putting your phone in a charger, this is your device 100 hands down. Thanks for watching the video like comment subscribe until next time for the love of tech, namaste.
