Everyone, it's mobile man, him of course smartphone in a very wet windy turkey with a cold but bringing you a quick impression, video of a device I've been using for the last couple of weeks. This is the BlackBerry key to L II, as you can see. At the end, it has TL e, which I imagine stands for light Edition. This is a blister cut down version of the original key to which I refused. Quite recently, it's not an unboxing, because you don't want to see. What's in the box, is pretty standard for a smartphone.
The back of it's just got the key specs, and it's its box worried about the unboxing, and this is what you want to see. This is the actual key to allotted device itself pretty much for blackberries. You can see thanks to the keyboard, very, very impressed. So far again, this is not my fault. Over four of you is now on the course my phone.
This is just my initial impressions using this for the last couple of weeks, looking at the display very nice five four point: five inch display the same one seen on the original key -. It does have the strange three by two aspect ratio. So when you're watching videos which I will try and get up a quick sample video to show you what I mean it's do a quick search for smartphone and let's watch a video Juno and let's watch a recent video. That's been done on the let's pick, the Samsung TV, for example, to turn to the side. So now we have a video playing on the display and, as you can see, you do get the letterbox effect around pretty much the whole screen on the TV.
So sorry, bus need to put your off okay, so you see there's a letterbox effect around the whole display, mainly because when you are using this phone, you do get the three capacitive keys, seen on the original key ?, and that was a disappointment for me, because a lot of people have said it'll be better to make the screen just a little bigger, and that way you have the option to have on screen controls android supports it. So why not do it that way? Instead, you've still got these physical keys there, which just create a black bar when you're in the video mode and obviously the three words ? aspect of the screen. When you like landscape, you get the border across the top as well as the bottom. It's annoying. If you watch a lot of videos, but then again, if you get a blackberry you're, not really watching a lot of videos, you're you're many, therefore the security features, ? software and the keyboard, so I mention the screen.
Front-Facing camera 8, megapixel, it's okay, it's nothing fantastic! It takes pretty decent selfies and videos as long as you've got decent lighting today, my clouded, which is its ok because then you're not going to use it for your professional camera. It's not going to be in the same league as like they're, the p20 and the OnePlus devices, but the good thing about this phone, which shows ? the price, and I'll talk about the price at the very end, so you got the selfie camera you get the LED light, which will block your fans, love, seeing the little flashing light. Knowing you've got a notification, it's a blackberry thing, but then you have the keyboard. Now this keyboard is really, really nice to use. It has pretty much the same keyboard seen on the original key -.
It does have a fingerprint reader located into the space bar, which is nice. The thing it doesn't feature which is on the original key ? is being able to slide your finger across up to select the word on the quick type display or being able to swipe, left and right to never get round. This is just a keyboard, obviously, with the fingerprint reader built-in. You still have your quick new, the new speed key. We saw on the key ?, which was nice so far, actually really impressed with it.
I've been using it as my daily phone for prove at least solid. For the last week, I've been using my three SIM card in there and had pretty decent eight speeds got to about 80 Meg at my home location, which is perfect but yeah. The keep was perfect. I've, actually typed out a lot of news posts for call smartphone on this keyboard. It's nice just being able to lay there in bed at night and just have the keyboard and tap away and actually feel the proper feedback of proper keys, which a lot of people still like.
Obviously a lot. We all used to touch screens these days and using coming up texts and messages on there on a touchscreen keyboard, but some people still like having a physical keyboard and that's where blackberry come in on this, and it'll tour around the rest of the phone on the right hand, side, you have your volume up and volume down. You have your power button, which has the rigid design, which means when you're holding the phone in your hand, you can feel which is the power button or which one is the volume and the button below it. So that's quite a nice touch from blackberry and then the bottom button again seen on the key to is the convenience key. Now a convenience key lets, you associate it to a specific app contact, and it does let you map it to the Google assistance.
So I know on my phone when I want to use the Google Assistant just tap this convenience key and up comes the Google system. Really, really handy allows me to quickly talk to the assistant set. My alarms to wake up in the morning reminders for different things find out. The weather is before I come out to shoot a video in bad weather, but really handy having Retouch quick access to the Google system. You can hold on to the capacitive touch key.
If you want, but I found it Percy better just to map the convenience key, but you can do whichever key you find best. Parlor top. You have a headphone jack, so blackberry have kept the 3.5 mm headphone jack, which is nice to see because I'm still carrying a pair of headphones out with me, I'm still trying to sort out a pair of Bluetooth, headphones I like using daily, so I still keep a headset in my pocket and the amount of times a brought phone out. I forgot to bring my headset well. An adapter has been an absolute nightmare, this having a normal 3.5 headphone jack. In my headphones about look, it means I, can always listen to YouTube or music or everything.
I want to move one of the microphones. On top the noise cancellation. You see on all phones these days. Looking on the left side, you have just the SIM tray. Now the SIM tray holds a micro SD card.
If you want to expand your storage and also holds the NATO SIM card. Speaking of storage, you get 32 gigs of unveiled storage with 4 gigs of ram, which is the version I got the single sim here, which is the one we will see here in the UK which actually has launched today on the 15th. So if you want to pick one up now, you can visit I think it's a couple of online stores, including blackberries online store, and you can buy one each for yourself again. I will mention the prices at the end. It has a CA megapixel front facing camera.
It has a 3000 William hour internal battery non-removable long wireless charging. But again you have to have some compromises with a smartphone for the price. This is going to me. While it's charging is good, it's handy it's starting to become more mainstream, but for most people they just want to plug in to the bottom, which has a speakerphone, which is very loud, very clear. If you listen to music, it will annoy people around you, because it is very loud.
You also have to 3.5 mill, look for the USB type-c charging port, which is commonly seen on most phones. These days, not from one that's been announced quite recently- that's compact, 2, USB and micro USB, sorry, but USB type-c, judge McCourt, which is really cool. So you have LT cat six, which isn't going to mean a lot to a lot of people for those techie fans out there. The geeky people at me like speed test. It means superfast, download speeds, I, believe cut sixes and everything up to about 600 megabits per second, but you're, not gonna.
Get that I got around 17 to 18 was very impressed with it smartphone for work and for personal use. This was plenty enough as an outscore 64-bit processor, it's a Snapdragon 636, so it's not one of their blazing fast off the light ones. But then again, Blackberry don't have this on lots, necessarily processor performance, its reliability, its software, its security is their main thing in it's a keyboard and, to be honest, using this day to day, I had no problems with it at all. I use games on it, I used Pok?mon, go I, didn't try any really heavy things like thought like, because I don't think I'd be supported on this, but most the games are played, we're actually pretty decent on their side. No problems using this at all and again, if you're going to be buying a blackberry, you're not going to be into a few games, you can be into it for your security, you're going to be into it.
For that amazing keyboard, the amazing battery life and just the BlackBerry name, really, that's the main specs covered off really pop from the back. So at the back, it's plastic, it's quite a nice soft touch feel to it as the BlackBerry logo and that's review can see this kind of effect. It has on the back the of course, the whole back really, really nice on the back. It has the dual camera, and you have seen the dual LED and the dual camera. Now your camera on this one, it's a 13 megapixel main camera with a 5 megapixel depth sensor.
So that's what allows you to use the fancy that you're taking photos of things that the bouquet photo says you're taking a picture. It keeps your photo your subjects and focus and blares the background behind them, create some quite nice shots I've got some sample photos over on called smartphones, review, which is below or above which you're familiar. Looking at this take a look at them. The quality of the camera is decent. You need good lighting, anything below good, sunlight, and you're.
Going to start getting problem. The sensor size isn't that big, so you're gonna start finding a lot of noise. I, sometimes even had the blurry photo when I'm using when it was a bit overcast like this trying to get a photo of you'll, see there, there's Halloween skeleton hanging up, trying to take a picture of it, and it still came out a bit blurry which is annoying, but some folks. The photos come out really, really decent. The bouquet photos do look really cool when it gets it right.
You'll see some samples below it. Gets it perfect on there and made some close-up I. Think I soaked up the lamppost or something that looks really cool, but then, when it's hanging up on something with more detail like the grapes hanging up on the tree, you'll notice, it starts to wander, focus a little and yeah again. You're not gonna, be buying this for the camera, but it's nice to have a decent camera on the back just as well, but this is 11 minutes in I'm. Gonna, stop rambling on about the phone, and it's good the price.
So the original key to and sets you back around about 500 550 pounds. What will the key to LE cost? You 350 pounds a lot cheaper for not a lot of compromise, so, if you're into Blackberry phones, you want the good screen. You want that black keyboard, which is really cool. Furthermore, you want the decent camera, you want perfect battery life, and you want security and software from a well-known company who obviously security is really key. No pun intended.
Then the key to LE is a fantastic choice to go for 350 quid sim-free that paired up with a page go sim or a sim. Only perfect pricing in the UK really you're going to save yourself a lot of money over the original key ? you're not going to lose a lot power wise. It's plenty. The battery life is plenty processing storage. Everything you need in this phone is more than Giessen enough to last you as a daily driver.
If you want the black blue phone with a keyboard, but you don't want to pay out that hefty price of the original key ?, so the colors is available in this- is the slate version. Argon looks really nice. It's like a black slate with a metal frame to it, which is really cool. You get a champagne color, which is like a nice champagne, II lights, friends wit, which is pretty cool that would be out shortly, and then you get to the atomic red which looks as good as it sounds. That's going to be I, believe November, so it depends on when you're watching this video that looks really, really cool.
I saw the preview photos of that when it got announced and the red looks really nice. If you don't want to wait, you want to get yourself a decent blackberry phone with a good keyboard. You like hammering out your social media. You want a decent battery life, which I'm not sure if I've mentioned, but Bachelor was perfect on this easily lasted me a day with heavy use. I wasn't watching a lot of videos again because of the display, but for what I'd use a blackberry for more than happy to spend out 350 quid and get myself one of these, so someone's gonna, stop rambling, and I will thank you for watching check out the full review over on cool smartphone, which is live now.
This has been my first look at the BlackBerry key to Le.
