2020 iPad Pro vs iPad 6th Gen

What's, going on guys it's that man Steve and in this video we're going to be doing a quick comparison of these two iPads I have the iPad Pro 2020 11 inch version versus the iPad 6 generation, which is a 9.5-inch screen. This one was released in 2018. These phones were released two years later in 2020. Obviously one is a lot more expensive. I think I got this one for right around 250 bucks, this one retails for 800 dollars the U. S.

now I, really don't think this is gonna, be a fair comparison. I really expect the iPad Pro to just knock the regular iPad out of the water. However, there might be some surprises, I, don't know either way it's the video that I look for when I was researching it and I couldn't find it, so I'm sure there are other people out there that are curious as well, so I'm making this video just for you, I got you back. So if we actually compare these side-by-side, you can see there's not two tons of different size wise, even though this is a full inch and a half of bigger screen. If you go ahead and put this one on top you'll see that there's obviously some difference.

However, it's not that big of a difference, even though you have that bigger screen. If we took these up and side by side, you also see that this 20/20 iPad is actually just a little thinner as well, which is very impressive. Now, as we're. Comparing these models on Apple's website you'll see that one has an 11-inch liquid Retina display with pro motion technology in true tone. The 6th generation iPad is in 9.7 inch display just retina. Then we have the a12 z-trip versus the 10.

As far as cameras go, we have a 12 megapixel of Y and a 10 megapixel ultra-wide cameras versus just the 8 megapixel wide camera. Now the latest one is compatible with the new upcoming magic keyboard, the smart Keyboard folio and the second-generation Apple Pencil. Well, the older iPad is just compatible with Bluetooth keyboards. In the first generation Apple Pencil, the newest iPad Pro's comes with a USB connector and the older one has a lightning connector, and you can see here the difference in the height width and depth, and it is definitely just a little less on the depth. The weight is right about the same on home screen.

Here you see, these are exactly identical. I just restored the back-up onto the new one. So if we go over to geek bench, 5 you're going to see that they are both running iOS 13.4. This one has about 6 gigabytes of RAM. This one has two and the newest one has the arm: 12 Z Bionic chip and the older one has the Apple 8 infusion chip.

This one is clocked at 2.4, 9 gigahertz, and this one is clocked at 2.3, 2 gigahertz. So let's go ahead and run the CPU benchmark and see what we come up with. So the tests complete you'll see that the 20/20 iPad has a single course for 1114 and then a multi-core score of four thousand six hundred and sixty-two. And if we look at the older iPad, you see that it has a simple core score of 769 versus a multi-core score of 14 19, which is quite a big difference. There and you'll also see that if you looked on the bottom, the newest one actually has one processor with 8 cores and the older one has one processor of 2 cores.

So you can definitely see why there is such a big difference in numbers there moving on, let's go ahead and do to compute benchmarks. So with that complete you'll, see that the 20/20 iPad Pro has a metal score, 9700 and 11 and verse is the iPad 2018 with metal score 2817. So now we're going to do a sound test, so you can see how both of these actually output sounds, whether the cell escape system, whether the soundscape system. So what about real-world performance? What I wanted to do real quick is just open up the browser and see which one performs a little better. So we go to the verge.

For example, three-to-one. You will see that it was a little faster on the iPad Pro. You go ahead and scroll is definitely a lot smoother on the iPad Pro. That's courtesy of the fast refresh rate that it has as far as how this both of these screens look quite honestly, is not tons of a difference. At least to my eyes.

The text does look a little crisper on the iPad Pro, but it's not bad at all on the sixth generation iPad. So it's going to try to open up something like Apple news. Three to one you'll see that the iPad Pro is definitely a little faster. So there you guys have it the older 2018 iPad really didn't. Do that bad.

When you're looking at day-to-day usage, it performs really well when you're doing web browsing. Were you doing basic games and stuff like that? You'll have no issue. The screen looks great on it. It doesn't obviously have the same technology. It doesn't have as good of cameras and stuff like that was still a great ad pad, especially considering the price, the iPad Pro.

If you are a professional, and you do video editing, drawing writing anything like that. Obviously this is the iPad to get. It is a lot more expensive, but I do think just for the performance and the cameras and the screen that it's completely worth the price so appreciate you guys for watching hope. This video helped, if there's anything else, that you would have liked to seen that I can do in future videos. Let me know my wife is getting this iPad, so I should have it around if I need to run any more tests for you guys, and I'm.

Obviously, I'm going to be using this on a daily basis, and I'll be having some reviews on apps and different things. You can do with this iPad coming up in the near future as well, so stay tuned for that.
