Sony Xperia 1 - Unboxing And First Impressions

Yo with something the body should boy floss back again with another video, and today we're going to do a quick unboxing of the Sony Xperia 1. Now you can pick this up on Amazon I'll put a link-up in the description, the price on this one 918 bucks. Now it's available in 4 different colors. You got black gray purple and white. Now on the side note, if this video sounds and looks different, it's because I'm on vacation in Paris now right when I was leaving the phone came in the mail, so I decided to bring it with me and make this video, and this way I could do a real camera test and take some nice pictures. Now, on another side, note I also found my Opp Reno 10 times, zoom and I thought a loss to them Vegas, but it was in my suitcase, so now I want to see a full video on this.

One hit me up in the comments and I can make that happen. I do get some nice pictures from Vegas alright. So let's go to the specs. Now this is a commonly phone. So if you got a TMT or T-Mobile you're good to go, if you got Sprint or Verizon, you ask them for the display.

You got a 6.5 inch, 4k OLED panel with the resolution of 1644 about 38 40. Now that's 643 for the PPI Patrol. This might be the dopes phone screen on the market. For the processor, you got the Qualcomm snapdragon 835 with the adrenals 640 GPU. What does that mean? Top-Of-The-Line specs? Now it's running Android 9 VIP, with Sony skin.

On top, you got 6 gigs of ram and either 64 or 128 gigs of storage and a micro SD card slot with expandable memory up to one terabyte for the battery. You got a 3330 William battery that features 18 watt fast charging. Now Sony claims it's gonna charge from 0 to 50 percent. In 30 minutes now you've got dual speakers with dynamic vibration and Dolby Atmos for the camera on the rear. You got a triple setup.

Alright, so you got a 12 megapixel, F 1.6, that's wide angle! You got another 12 megapixel, that's F, 2.4! That's your telephoto, and you got one more 12 megapixels, that's F! 2.4! Ultra-wide on the front, you got an 8 megapixel, camera f, 2.0, that's also wiring. That's got Bluetooth 4.0 NFC USB type-c. You got a fingerprint sensor based unlock, and you got so many side steps. So what's missing, no headphone check that sweat, hashtag bars, no always on display and my biggest gripe. No wireless charging all in that for 918 bucks.

Let's see what it is now I'm out the country so ya know I have to, say white shoes. Wherever your way, calm down here we go Sony Opera, 1, nice, white box, yeah I, know I, like a nice white box dignity who does it get a little French unboxing tonight, olive oil, one more most, you beaucoup working on my French job bear with me. Alright. Here we go now. Let's hope this is better than this garbage you all.

Remember the Saudi 10-plus now brought this with me as a trace. This is one of the worst phones I had in a minute. So let's go into this with an open, mind and hope. Sony can make up for it now. I'm wet with white shoes white.

Just peel this off right. Okay, we got one more in the back here we go whoa. Let me do the smell test on this MMM. This smells crispy I this most crispy white. This is that white shoes white right here, oh I'm, feeling this one already now right out of the gate.

It does have that narrow feel like the 10 plus, and again I was I. Was I really wasn't sold with these narrow phones, the 21 by 9 aspect ratio, which is really not too good for YouTube, because you're going to get the black bars, but it's good for Netflix and Amazon. Let's power this up, see if you got any juice now your fingerprint sensor is gonna, be on the side. Let's see, okay, this is gonna, be a power button down here. Can that's a power button? That's a fingerprint sensor.

I saw two separate buttons. You got volume up and down. Okay, nice, aluminum trim on the sides. There's one speaker, USB type-c, you got a mic on the top. There's another mic: here's your SIM tray! Now you don't need the sim ejection tool, this just pops out, but one thing that I don't like about.

Sony phones, when you pop this out and to remove the sim or the micro SD card, the phone automatically restarts over them. I, don't like that. Okay, let's see anything else in this box, man, okay kind of weird without white, suits trolling me kind of miss my shoes. Here we go. Let's see you got a little case now, I'm glad they threw that in there.

Let's take a look at this one now I'm recording on an iPhone too so yeah I got a bill with me. Okay got a little gel skin case. Okay, we got the euro adapter. Let's see you got some headphones now. They do have phones in here with a 3.5 jack, but there's no headphone jack. Let's see this.

Hopefully this has a dongle in it. That would be the ultimate L alright. Here we go if you got a little dongle for your headphones and your micro USB type-c charging cable, that's pretty much it back to the phone nice wait on this I'm, already kind of feeling this one all right, so I'm going to pause. The video I'll drop. All my information in then we'll breeze through the OS talk amongst yourselves.

All right guys, we'll be back in not just put my information in the phone got everything all set up and I have to be honest with job so far, fresh out of the box. I am totally feeling this phone now I know my mother, you know only as good as your last product so shout out to Sony. We could file this X 10 plus in the trash and start fresh. Now, there are two things that I want to clarify. At the beginning, I said there was no always-on display, guess what there's an always-on display, but there's no face unlock.

Now you do have a version of face unlock under trusted faces, but I personally don't use that because it's not that secure, and you can easily open that up with a picture. So to recap: no headphone jack no face unlock and no wireless charge, but you do have always on display. That's a major plus for me. First things: first bill quality now, yeah I know I have to say it feels so good in the hands. Ladies, you know the procedures you got the aluminum trim with Gorilla Glass six on the front and on the back, and it has a beautiful weight to it.

Now, I'm feeling this white shoes white, it almost looks like one of my favorite Android phones, the P30 Pro, has that same weight to it and that same quality bill you're, gonna, love it next now, I'm sitting outside in the sunlight. So I, don't know if you could see this or not, but you do happen. Always-On display a couple of different ways to open up the phone. You could double tap put in your PIN and your pattern. You can use your trusted face for your face unlock, and you got your fingerprint sensor.

That's on the side. Now it's not the fastest and smoothest in the world, but it does work. You just got to get the hang of using the fingerprint sensor on the side. Personally. I'd rather have orange-green fingerprint sensor, but it is what it is.

It pretty much works every time, just not too fast. That animation is a little slow. Nevertheless, I digress. Look at this display now to the naked eye. You might not be able to tell that it's 4k, but in person this is one of the best-looking displays that I've seen.

Yet it's simply beautiful and the phone is super. Smooth, no lag at all. Let's go through some basic toggles real, quick I say: got your Wi-Fi ability do not disturb you got stamina mode. That's your power! Saver! You got dynamic, Dolby, audio I'll, show you how that sounds and looks in a minute that screen mirroring flashlight screencast or your basic information. Let's go through the basics.

You got Wi-Fi Bluetooth NFC. We don't need to check all that out. Okay, now you got Xperia looks you got ambient display. That's your always-on display photo playback stickers, blah blah blah absent notifications. We don't need to see that battery now this battery, even though it's only three thousand three hundred and thirty Williams, it looks pretty good and if you put it in stamina, mode or ultra stamina mode right now, I got five hours left that will double and triple your battery life.

Let's go to advanced nothing to see there I'm trying to make this quick, because I'm going out to lunch and I want to take some dope pitches. Let's see, let's go to uh, we have just hit automatic. Let's take it over to display. Now you got a few different display settings. You got creative mode to take advantage of that 4k panel, you got standard mode, or they'll, create a mode I'll go through all of that in more detail when I do the full review change your white balance, blah blah blah.

Let's see, screen timeout put that on next ten minutes. Let's go to sound now dual speakers pretty loud I'll play some music in a second, so you can hear for yourself. Lock screen and security, like I said no face unlock, but you got smart lock. So if you activate smart lock, then you have trusted faces. I'm, not gonna.

Put my pin out because I'm using my real pin trusted faces on dick. Let's see you got tricks, various systems go through all of that accessibility, I serve your hearing or visually impaired. You can still rock this phone to its full potential system, blah blah blah Android 9 VIP. Let's check the web browsing speeds, go to apple. com Snapdragon 855 on deck, nice and fast super smooth exit out of that.

Now, if you want, you can use the swipe gestures, pretty much iPhone is, or you can have your three Android buttons at the bottom. Let's take it over to YouTube matter of fact, let's put in our one of my videos, so you can hear the sound. Take it over to pipe life. Let's get max volume. Now, let's get up maximum vibration, your dynamic vibration, the phone is actually vibrating with the V notice, is crazy.

Let's see if we got black bars on this one matter of fact: let's open up cooking with floss, no black balls in it. I can't stress enough how dope that dynamic vibration is when you're watching a video. Are you playing the music? The phone is vibrating to the beat. Now you can change the levels. Let's see if you hit volume, let's hit play.

If you hit volume, you see dynamic vibration, I have to go max to vibrate in the lock. If I take it all the way down. No vibrations, you have to leave that up I. So if you're going to use dynamic vibration, trust me leave it all the way at max. Now, let's take it over to side sets you double tap on the screen.

Now it's a little finicky I got to play with that. Let's see if I could get down, I was just doing it right. The first time you got a double tap on the side of the screen. Now I'm not gonna, give up. Here we go there.

It is all right, so let me try it again: I have to use the thumb. I use the thumb, hit the side of the screen with the thumb that opens up the side sense. So you got a bunch of different apps at your leisure split-screen multitasking on deck, let's open up YouTube take it over to web plates. At the same time, why not? Let's go to our Apple I said we got Apple and YouTube at the top, which we're multitasking on deck exit out of that so farm and the benefit full screen. Now you do got a little of bezels on the top and on the bottom, not the biggest deal again I'm, just not really sold with this narrow kind of phone like that, but I have two holding them in your hands.

It doesn't feel that much more narrow than a big boy like the p30, but the build quality on this is just so beautiful. Like I said that white shoes white is perfect. Now as far as the camera, let's go over the camera app real, quick I'm, not gonna, go through all this stuff, because I really want to do that in my full review. But let's take a look at the camera app all right, so you got regular photos. You got videos, let's go on the top: let's go to settings blah: okay! Well, the basic stuff, 12 megapixels max! Let's see for video, let's take it over the video.

Take it over to settings video! You got 4k video, full HD, 60 frames per second I. Don't have a memory card, so I'm going to do all my videos outside 1080 60 frames per second, let's see the different modes. You got portrait selfie Google in slow motion. They are effects, you got manual mode, creative effect and panoramic shots. Let's drop the case on real quick.

Does this I'm going to play it for the day all right? There's your case, I have to, say I'm impressed all right. I'm really impressed anyway I'm about to hit the streets hit me up in the comments, and let me know if there's anything specific you all want me to cover when I do the full review but you all know my usual pattern: I'm going to tear it apart from top to bottom we're gonna, take a bunch of pictures and videos, and I'll do a little camera comparison with some of my favorite cameras, this one we got the Opp Reno, X, P, 30, Pro and, of course, the big boy, the s10 Bob G and the G stands for gangster pick up in the comments. Let me know something about this and on the side note, let me know if you all want me to do a couple of more videos, while I'm out here, because I got a bunch of free time and I bought a few products with me just in case I get bored, so I got the bowl sleep. Bunch I got the dancing robot I got um I got a JBL speaker, the little jr. pop.

If you don't want to see some reviews from outdoors in Paris, get me up in the comments, and I'll make that happen. Yeah, what a situation where everybody in the world uses technology and if you're going to buy some of that technology. You don't understand certain things subscribe, the 4c car, it does, reviews of all the latest technology, the iPhones, the iPads, the galaxies, the Samsung's, whatever the beats by that doctor guy, he puts his kitty cat in the video still for you, something I. Look at you know I'm an animal lover, so I like that. So make sure you hit the subscribe button, to foresee Carter on the YouTube, the follow button on the interface and the like button on the face.

Look because! If you don't, we're gonna, have a problem here, a bad one, I hate to subscribe.
