Siliconrepublic reviews - HTC Wildfire

Hi I'm Laura O'brain from silicon Republic, and this is the HTC Wildfire ins aimed at a younger, probably more cash-strapped audience. Maybe students and people who want to kind of have the benefits of a smartphone at a very low cost. It's kind of a slim design, it's pretty sleek. It comes in four different, colors red black white and this one's kind of brain, and it also comes with a five megapixel camera and an LED flash. Furthermore, it's got kind of touchscreen interface there, and it runs on Android 2.1 and has HTC Sense interface, and you have seven different home screens to choose from which you can navigate through pressing the home button, or you can use the optical trackpad, their apps, adding apps onto the main home screen, or it's pretty easy enough. You can press just the plus sign there up.

You can press calculator there, and it's already on the home space of the home screen, and you can also add folders and separate it like that. It's also pretty easy to remove it from the home screen. You can just hold it down and drag it down to remove. So it's a pretty intuitive interface and very accessible phones, focus on social media. So one of the main features on it would be the friend stream and this kind of consolidates all the social networking.

So you can have Flickr, Twitter and Facebook all on the same stream kind of consolidated there. You can also update all of those three, or you can kind of go into settings, and you can take whichever one or two you want to update, and you can also kind of drill down further. You can just look at status updates or pictures or links as well another feature of the phone, that's probably the app sharing, and you can just it's just in your apps and menu there, and you can just click on any app that you think you want to kind of share to a friend, and you can email it to them or add it to your friends stream or just send it directly to their app and to that Android based phone, it's five megapixel camera, and it comes with a variety of different features. So you can kind of take photo or video. You can mess with the brightness commission, contrast, saturation and sharpness, and you can also kind of have a different mode like grayscale or sepia, and there's also a lot of other different settings you can play around with there.

So the only thing about the phone is its resolution isn't the best so that if you take a photo on the actual phone, it may not look that great, but once you upload it to your computer, it looks a lot better, but it's kind of a price to pay for a kind of budget. Smartphone, it's a pretty impressive device, and it makes a great addition to the HTC catalog. Its price has started from free to $79.99 on bill pay on meteor. Overall, it's an excellent device for someone who wants a smartphone without breaking the bank.
