Starting with the look, ASUS has trimmed the edges of its new gamer phone and left the look more sober to adapt to uses beyond games. It now doesn't have that flashy rear air vent anymore, just the traditional customizable RGB logo. If we had many changes in the design of the ROG Phone 5, the iPhone 12 Pro Max kept the look of its predecessor. The notch remains rectangular in shape, albeit slightly smaller.

In our speed tests the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the fastest cell phone ever tried by TudoCelular so far. The time was about 18 seconds less than ASUS' rival. In benchmarks the ROG 5 managed to surpass the competitor in AnTuTu, however, in GeekBench the difference was very favorable to the iPhone. In games, Apple's cell phone can run any title with the highest quality possible, but only Taiwanese explore games better and are compatible with up to 144 FPS.

As the fastest cell phone at the moment, the iPhone 12 Pro Max takes the point. While the ROG 5 boasts a 6,000 mAh battery, the iPhone has reduced capacity for this generation to make the body lighter and less hot. It's no surprise that we have much less battery life on the Apple device. The ASUS advantage is more than 8 hours of total duration. The gamer smartphone also gets a full charge much faster than the rival.

This takes less than an hour to hit 100% against nearly 2 hours for the 12 Pro Max. Effect of the 65-watt plug adapter that comes with the ROG. The iPhone, on the other hand, doesn't even have a charger anymore in the box. Handily, ASUS takes one more point.
