iPhone 12 Pro many months later

So, what is up guys nick here, helping you to master your technology? Welcome to my iPhone 12 Pro many months later now we covered the iPhone 12 Pro max, but in this one we're going to cover the smaller brother, which is not much smaller than the price tag. This phone is still coming in at 9.99 brand new. However, you could do trade-ins with apple, but they're, not for significant values. However, I will say this one has been pretty darn exceptional, and I'm going to explain why in this video. So let's begin with the body now what I really love about the iPhone 12 Pro versus, like the pro max, is that it's a smaller, more premium phone, but the edges with the stainless steel, just like the pro max, they kind of remind me more of the 4s days versus like the 5, with the aluminum, builds on the iPhone 12 and 12 mini. So this one just has an ultra premium feel it's like an iPhone 12 on steroids, basically, just a little more premium, actually a lot more premium feeling on the edges here and then on the back.

It does have this nice matte texture. Now this area right here around the camera, does tend to get a bit dirty and smudgy quite a bit, don't like that, and all of these iPhone 12 Pro and pro maxes can pick up little scratches on the stainless steel. However, the pacific blue color here does do a better job at hiding this stuff than the silver color. Does the gold color does a better job than silver, as does the space gray color? So definitely these so definitely really happy with the pacific blue color. Here choice of the iPhone 12 Pro, although I did like midnight green, I will say the body and the build of this phone is pretty darn exceptional.

It's just like a miniaturized version of the 12 pro max and with that miniaturization of that you do get a lighter, more manageable, 6.1-inch screen, which is not quite as huge holding day to day, and it still has a pretty nice width from side to side. So it's not super narrow as well, so a very comfortable size. However, if you like the 5.8, this might be a little too big. Some people found the 5.8 of the iPhone. You know 11 pro perfect size.

This might be like. Why did you go up 1.3 inches? You made it just slightly uncomfortable, it might be slightly uncomfortable for those of you who love the 5.8 inch size, but other than that. It's just a dream to hold in the hand the squared edges give it nice grip. When you feel that stainless steel, it just feels like a million bucks ceramic shield on front and back I'm not taking chances. I did put a screen protector on here, but I have dropped this phone no damage these iPhone 12s are a lot stronger than you might think much stronger than previous iPhone generations, and they don't break very easily, so definitely not saying to go rock them without a case, but they definitely are very strong phones.

Even if you weren't wearing one, and you dropped it, you probably wouldn't destroy it. You would nick it up a little, but you definitely wouldn't destroy it all right guys and let's discuss the splay now. This does have the super retina Dr OLA display on here HDR 10, 800, nits of usable brightness, with a 1200 peak. So just like the iPhone 12 Pro super bright display, probably more than you'll ever need to look how bright this is it's ridiculous. Let me just lower this down the only time you're going to need this brightness is outdoors and while other phones can hit a higher peak brightness, if you're like on the fence between the 12 pro series and the 12, this is one area where you're really going to notice.

The difference is a much brighter display, and that makes a difference for those of you who are definitely, you know heavy users of your phone. When it comes to the resolution, though, it's pretty much the same as the iPhone 12, giving you 460 PPI density, which is very sharp. Actually, a lot of phone manufacturer competitors are going to 1080p displays this one's a little higher than that at 2532 by 1170, meaning the text is TAC, sharp on this phone and I hope apple- keeps around and doesn't lower the resolution on these phones because they really are very sharp, though, does have a notch on here. So if you are watching video- and you pinch in this- is an area where I think apple is definitely going to shrink down in the next generation- maybe a little and then eventually probably try to find a way to integrate face ID in the bezel. But definitely you can easily ignore it by just pinching YouTube videos back down like that, and so it's still a usable experience.

But you are left with some black bars here, but a very nice OLA display. I will say that apple does tune. This display more on the accurate color side versus like uh overly saturated. So if you like, a very vibrant punchy display, this is probably not the most vibrant or punchy, but I think it's a nice. It strikes a nice balance between natural and vibrant and there's no 120 hertz display on here.

So many months later, I've been just thinking about you know what is Apple's iPhone going to feel like when they do get a 120 hertz display, because right now it's not that it's smooth, it's a very smooth display, even with 60hz. It's like the smoothest, 60hz type of operating phone I've seen out there, so I think it's just going to get even better on the next version because, because it looks like Samsung is going to be producing the sleds 120 hertz they've already been doing it on all their s series phones, so I'm pretty sure apple's going to buy up some displays and go ahead and make them 120 hertz on the iPhone 13 going to be super smooth running that iOS and covering software with the iPhone 12 Pro it's basically the same as the 12 mini and e12 any 12 pro max, but it's a little closer to the 12 pro max, mostly in the camera department. You do have the telephoto zooming on here now. This one can only go 10x, whereas the iPhone 12 Pro max can go 12.5, something like that and go 2.5 x on the zoom and on here we have optical image stabilization on the iPhone 12 Pro max. You do have like a sensor shift stabilization, so the video slightly more stable on the iPhone 12 Pro max, but still very good here, other than that the software is identical to iPhone 12 series.

However, one notice noticeable difference, is you get different? Wallpapers like this one right here for the iPhone 12 Pro and as you can see here are the other wallpapers that come with the 12 pro series. You don't get that purple one, but you can download those iPhone 12 wallpapers easily from the internet if you do want yeah, but other than that, I was 14.5.1 on board up to date to the latest software security fixes just rolled out yesterday, I have to say very smooth, very slick, nice features, and they didn't introduce quite a bit in the iOS 14.5 update. So it looks like the 12 pro should be seeing quite a bit of new features. Come iOS 15, along with the other rest of the iPhone lineup okay, so I want to talk about the battery life now battery health still at 100. For me, on the capacity, however, I got to say that the actual battery performance on the iPhone 12 Pro is slightly disappointing by comparison to the 12 pro max, and the reason for this is that I noticed when I'm using the camera or if I got this brightness turned up too high it just drains quicker.

It has a smaller battery, there's no way around it.28 15 William hour battery it drains quicker than the iPhone 12 Pro max. However, I find it to be slightly better than the iPhone 12. It's not nothing like the 11 pro. The 11 pro had better battery life, and this might be due to you knows, having 5g, not sure why it is now. I'm not saying this phone doesn't get through a day, easily gets through a normal day for most people, I'm saying heavy users are still going to want to go with the iPhone 12 Pro max or the bigger battery size, but this will do the job for everyday usage.

However, when you start using the camera, you start doing. HDR video, 4k, stuff you'll see this start to dip a little faster than you might like. You might be on the charger by eight nine o'clock at night on this one, I'm very happy with the 128 gigabytes starting storage at 9.99. It's just understandable! Why Apple would do this? You don't want to get 64 gigs at a thousand bucks, so before you can get the 128 gig iPhone 11 cheaper than the 64 gig iPhone 11 Pro. So I dislike how they started this at 128 gigs.

I think it's an excellent choice on their part and gives you breathing room on your iPhone 12 Pro without having to go to the next level up to the 256 gig. I'm talking about the cameras here, they did add LIDAR. Here I never really used it. I only used the triple cameras: the triple 12 megapixel cameras, but just like the 11 pro. This just further improves on that, giving you slightly more detailed photos and slightly better video for sure on this one.

I've always loved taking photos with the 12 pro, and these cameras have gotten so good on these phones. You know it's just like you. Don't even really need an actual camera to get started on doing YouTube. You know doing social media, tick, took Instagram, whatever you're going to be doing with your phone for video. You got a strong camera here, and it's always with you here now, like I said in the 12 pro max video, some people disagreed.

I wasn't saying that the cameras aren't are bad or anything like that. I was just saying that I've seen phones that I think can take better photos or compete with this, at least on the android side, but where they don't really compete. Much is the video because I think the video is still much stronger and while this doesn't have the sensor shift stabilization, I found the video on the iPhone 12 Pro to still be about the same, as it's almost virtually indistinguishable. The difference is between this and the 12 pro max. However, when you punch in you'll notice a little more zoom, but it's so slight, it's not a major difference.

So what I would say about the camera is, if you think, you're going to get a major bump going to the 12 pro max, and you just want the smaller size. Don't do it just get 12 pro you'll be very happy with the camera, because the differences are very negligible, and I don't think you're really going to be using. You know the sensor shift stabilization as much as you might think. You are one thing. I really love about the iPhone 12 Pro pro max, since the 11 series is how apple made the front-facing camera just a boss like competing with the rear camera on some other phones, 4k 60, 12 megapixels.

This thing matches the rear cameras, like you, wouldn't believe. Really do love this. This goes for the 12 mini and the 12 as well. So no major upgrades here, but still I have to, say selfie camera super strong here on iPhone 12 Pro you can go back, get a little wider shot there really strong selfie to go along with them. Three cameras on the rear and LIDAR, and at this point in the year the iPhone 12 Pro max the iPhone 12 Pro and our pro max does have audio.

That is just so good, listen, but with taller displays and the iPhone 12 Pro max keeps a very nice. You know wider panel. So if you like to read a lot on your phone at the highest volume, super crisp deep, super clear, so definitely playing at the top of the industry. Even now that it's been out for this long, the 12 pro 12 pro very strong in audio and by the way talking about audio, it does record very good video audio as well. So when you do take videos, it's perfect, you might not even need a mic in certain situations and many months later, with the phone call quality.

This is an area I also really enjoyed about the iPhone 12 Pro because it had a better reception strength than prior iPhone 11 series in phone call and mobile connectivity. So a very strong reason to pick up the iPhone 12 Pro over something like the 11 series device as well, alright guys! So that's it many months later, with the iPhone 12 Pro you might be. Asking yourself should I buy this now and I think if you don't want to wait several months till September and with the chip shortages going on in the industry right now, the iPhones might be delayed this year, we'll have to see or if they're not delayed, it might be in short supply, and then you're going to have to wait awhile, if you don't pre-order right away, the iPhone 12 Pro definitely is still a very good option, and if you just need a phone now, and you want a top ROG iPhone, you don't want it the largest size, the iPhone 12 Pro still gets. My recommend right now, some tech fans going to be like. Why would you recommend this phone this late in the year? Well, it's because not everybody cares to wait six more months to get the newest and latest iPhone, and some people are going to like this.

More than they're going to like the new colors and things like that. So this is a strong device. It might be, kicked out a lineup for the iPhone 13 pro, but it's still a perfect device overall, and I really do still love it. Let me know your thoughts on the 12 pro and if you have one share your thoughts in the comment section below, if you found this video helpful entertaining and forming, do me a favor click that, like button for me and subscribe, if you haven't already nick here, be sure to be well and peace.
