Google Pixel 4A “Real Review"

Yo, what's up everybody, it's your boy floss back again with another video, and today we're going to take a look at the Google Pixel 4a. Now you can pick this one up from Google I'll, throw the link-up in the description, the price on this one 350 bucks- I repeat, 350 bucks! This is the people's phone. Now it only comes in one color, just black, all right. So, let's go through all the specs for the display. You got a 5.81 inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1080 by 2340. Now that's 443 for the PPI patrol.

You got gorilla gas 3 on the front for protection HDR and the phone is made out of plastic for the processor got the Qualcomm snapdragon 730 with the arena 618 GPU. What does that mean in English, mid-range, specs, bro, mid-range specs? Now it's running android 10 and that's a stock skin. You got six gigs of ram 128, gigs of storage and no micro SD card slot for expandable memory for the battery. You got a 3140 ml battery that features 18 watt fast charging for the cameras on the rear. Furthermore, you got a 12 megapixel wide angle and on the front you got an 8 megapixel wide angle.

Now you also got Bluetooth 5.1 NFC, USB type-c charging. You got a rear, mounted fingerprint sensor, always on display and a headphone jack all right, so all that for 350 bucks, let's see what it is now on the side note just in case you're wondering what's missing: there's no face unlock no wireless charge, no IP rating, so the phone is not water resistant and no expandable memory. Another thing just to get you wondering what about the iPhone SE? What's the difference? Well, the Google Pixel 4a. You got a bigger and better display. You got more ram, a bigger battery and a headphone jack.

Now with the iPhone SE, you do have a better build quality, so you got glass on the back, and you got wireless charging, but other than that. The Pixel 4a is killing this phone and just for reference, look at the front of this phone look at the size of these bezels. This is ridiculous. I hate this phone all right. So let's unbox this and see what it is.

First things. First, shout out to white shoes back in the building: calm down all right. Here we go: Google Pixel 4a, just black all right, so we got a nice presentation, alert clean white box. You all know I like that dignity here we go inside now. This is going to be your Pixel 4a bra.

Okay, all right shoes, scoot scoop, okay, flick of the wrist. This is going to be your sim ejection tool, usual books and pluck them and follow them. This is going to be your 18 watt, fast charging, brick. Let's see it's in there, pretty good, okay, nice, smooth matte feel on this USB type-c charging all right. So it's USB type-c, the USB type-c for the charging cable plugs in just like that.

All right shoes inspect that for quality, and you got OTG USB a to USB type c. Transform your data all right! So that's pretty much it now matters of fact. Let me get a little wipe down on this Google Pixel 4a. Let's do the smell test. Real quick you all know what I'm getting ready to say smells like savings.

I check out shoes. This one smells like savings, but 350 bucks like I said this is the people's phone all right. Anybody can get this now. On the side. Note I've been using this for about three days and I got to tell you all I'm impressed all right.

So I'm going to pause the video. Let me connect to my Wi-Fi, and we'll breeze through the OS talk amongst yourselves all right you all, so we back in now. Usually I would talk about all the things that I don't like, but for 350 bucks, I'm not going to be petty, Roosevelt, but there are two things that I want to mention number one no face unlock right. I don't like that right. All phones should have faced unlock in this day and age.

Don't gotta be the most secure in the world, but let me get that face. Unlocked number two, no wireless charge again, not the biggest deal in the world, but once you get used to having wireless charge, it's hard to go back to not having it other than that for 350 bucks. The Pixel 4a is a major major major go. This is the people's phone. Anybody could get this now say you got a fresh iPhone 11 Pro max, and you want to play around with android, but you don't want to spend too much cash check this one out or say you are on unemployment, you're, getting them stimulus, tricks them, corona checks, and you want to save some money, but you want a new phone check this one out now.

I know a lot of people going to say: oh, why don't you just get a used, Galaxy S9 or get a used Galaxy S10. Some people like that and some people. Don't me personally. I'd rather get a brand-new phone that nobody put any coronavirus molecules on it. Nobody had it in the bathroom taking bad dumps with it.

You want to unbox it brand new and fresh 350 bucks. This is a win all right. I really can't complain first things. First, the build quality. Now: here's my Google Pixel 4 uh XL, here's the 4a.

Of course the 4 is a little smaller. It's made out of plastic versus this nice brush glass on the back. But, honestly, honestly, when I have first seen this phone, I was getting ready to on the build quality. I was going to say: oh, it's cheap plastic garbage, but once you hold it, I once you hold it in your hand, it honestly doesn't feel cheap. It doesn't feel as premium as this one, but it doesn't feel like cheap garbage.

All right and you all know I'm usually harder on Google phones, but I got to keep it real. This one feels nice matter of fact I might as well say it feels so good in the hands. Ladies, you know the procedures. Plastic. No fingerprints on deck got your little fingerprint sensor on the back.

Here's your camera! You got your power button accented in green volume. Up and down this side is clean. There's your sim tray on the bottom. You got dual speaker grilles and I even know the other speakers on the top, but dual grilles to make it look uh in sync, and you got USB type-c charging. Now here's another thing.

I have to mention dual speakers now shout out to the iPhone SE. I will give them credit. You got dual speakers on this. One too, but look at the difference in these phones, which one looks more modern, like a today's flagship phone and which one looks like yesterday's garbage think about it. If somebody just walked up to you and said which one of these you think look better everybody's going to pick the pixel now, both of them kind of look old-school because you got fingerprint sensors but look how flush that fingerprint sensor is on the back.

You barely notice it, and it works now the advantage of having a fingerprint sensor on the back, as opposed to the front look at the amount of chin on this phone. Let me open this up. That's all chin, all chin or forehead, that's ridiculous! That means your display. Is this big? This one is trash all right! Anybody wants to buy this one. I still got it for sale.

Make me a Norfolk. Nevertheless, I digress build quality on this. It's excellent. Now it's not water resistant, but for tree fitting all right, hashtag tree fifty, my man Dave, put them ovens up at 350. For this price.

Who cares all right? If you break it, it ain't the end of the world. It's not like breaking your Galaxy Note 20. You know what I'm saying break for a thousand twelve hundred bucks, you're going to be tight, you break this one, or you lose it. Who cares. This is the perfect trap phone, the perfect throwaway phone and, like I said, I've been using it for a couple of days.

I know what I'm talking about next a couple of different ways: you can open up the device now you can swipe up put in your pattern, your pin, let me put my pin in since I just turned it back on swipe up put in your pattern. Your pin you are good or you got your fingerprint sensor on the rear, now the finger princess in the rear, even though it looks old-school, it's 100 functional. So I don't mind something looking old if it actually works all right, so it looks old-school, but it actually works 100 of the time. Every time you touch that thing. On the back, it's going to open right up.

Next, the display beautiful all right, beautiful, AMOLED panel looks nice and vibrant. Everything is bright. I was using this a little while ago in direct sunlight yeah. It's not the brightest in the world. All right.

The viewing angle is a little a little off in the daytime in bright sunlight, but in the house you are good money right now, I'm rocking it at max brightness. Of course, let's walk through the OS real, quick, all your basic toggles, nothing to really look at on this. You got a few more you got. Screencasts got scan barcode scanner, you got live caption. Do your thing: let's take it over to uh settings.

I'm going to try to make this really, really quick. You got NFC VPNs, private DNS right. There's your NFC you've seen the DNS for yourself. Let's go to battery now one of the things about this phone that I, like the battery, lasts way longer than the iPhone SE. Now, on a side note, I know there's a lot of side notes going on.

I tried to do a full review on this. I tried to use this, for I was going to use it for three days straight. That was the challenge I used this for about a day and a half and I rage-quit the screen is too small, and the battery is 100, unadulterated, garbage all right straight, filthy trash, but with the Pixel 4a, the battery is pretty good, especially if you got an adaptive battery, and it starts to learn your habits. You're going to be able to rock this for a full day. Let's go to display.

You got your dark theme, blah blah blah, nothing to really see there. Let's see you got your digital well-being. I monitor your scumbag activities. If you buy this for a little kid, you got your parental controls. Let's go to uh security.

Now here's the thing: if you go to security, if you go to uh smart lock, let me put my pin in real quick, no face unlock at all. Now, I'm noticing I'm noticing on a lot of android phones. You don't see trusted face anymore. So a lot of phones don't have that anymore. So this one is just 100 no face unlock, but you got your fingerprint sensor on deck and that's pretty much it that matter of fact.

Let's go to uh blah blah accessibility, all right. So if you're hearing or visually impaired, you can still rock out all inaccessibility settings on deck. Swipe gestures, no buttons on the bottom, so you swipe up no 90 hertz refresh rate, but look how fast and smooth that is for 350 bucks you're, not getting 90 hertz, refresh rate anywhere. So who cares as long as the phone is fast and smooth? Like? I said, snapdragon 730 that ain't a budget fire. I need a budget chipset.

That's that's! Basically, mid-range status, bro mid-range status, let's see, lets um, let's check the web browsing speeds, real, quick! All right. I had to clear my web browsing history. Scumbags unite! Let's check the web. Browsing speeds go to apple. com.

Look how fast that was keep in mind. This is the full website.350 bucks. Now, if I want to, we could do some split screen. Multitasking, lets uh, let's see what we got on the bottom: let's do uh anything open. Let's do open up YouTube right there.

It is so you got apple on the top YouTube on the bottom. Now let me pull up a quick YouTube. Video, so you can see this display and listen to these speakers all right. So here's my usual video watch this. This is max volume, listen to these dual speakers and enjoy that AMOLED display.

This is sick for 350 bucks cover up the bottom crispy highs at the top. There's your base on the bottom, beautiful; here's, your viewing angles, 350 bucks! Ladies and gentlemen: let's go all right now! Listen to this! The speakers on the 4a sound, almost as good as the speakers on the 4xl 350 bucks versus the thousand. Listen here's the XL. They only sound a tiny bit better. Here's the 4a, here's, the XL 350 bucks! This is a win all right.

So now, let's do the social media test. Now this is what it's going to look like if you're chilling on Instagram watch, the scrolling speeds not 90 hertz, but look how fast. That is all right, get your scroll on now, let's go ahead and like that, let's go to my home page all right now on the side note, if you all seen the galaxy event tomorrow, I'm doing the Galaxy Buds live, and I'm also doing the Galaxy Tab, s7 plus, then, when I get the note 20 we'll do that, I'm getting the fold we're getting everything all right. So let me go ahead and, like my own photo, that's the social media test. Now, let's take it over to the camera.

Look at shoes yeah! She was throwing off my concentration looking too cute all right, let's take it over to the camera. Now. This is one of the best things about this phone, but 350 bucks, you're, not gonna, find a better camera. I'm telling you the dynamic range is sick. This is point-and-shoot status.

All right. Let's go to the different modes. You got night sight, you got portrait mode, you got camera, you got video, and you got more now. If you hit more, you got panorama, you got photosphere slow motion, time-lapse and lens. Let's take it over to the settings.

Now you got full HD at 60 frames per second, that's 1080p. If you want 4k, you're going to have 30 frames per second and that's pretty much it now. One of the downsides about this camera is there's no ultra-wide angle, all right. So this is as wide as it gets right, and you got scumbag zoom up to 7x. Let's see if I get okay, oh that's pretty clear hold up where my finger look at that that's a nice amount of zoom and look how to look how clear my skin is on this bro.

This camera is pretty tough. Now, let's take a look at some test. Pictures and videos me all right, so you've seen the pictures for yourself for 350 bucks on a scale of one to ten. The Pixel 4a is a major major major go and, as bob barker would say, the price is right. You got an always on display big beautiful 1080p panel.

The build quality is pretty good, durable, no fingerprints on deck. You got a fingerprint sensor on the rear, dual stereo speakers. You got a headphone jack, Samsung Apple Pay attention, headphone, jack, silky, smooth, no lag at all, guaranteed updates and arguably the best camera that you're going to find on the phone for 350 bucks. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the people's phone look at it always on display anyway, Google Pixel, 4a, triple major gold white shoes, approved hit me up in the comments. Let me know what you all think about this.
