GALAXY S10+ vs. MI NOTE 10 PRO: Xiaomi enfrenta o top da Samsung com truques na manga | Comparativo

If you are a fan of Xiaomi or know a little more technology you have heard us say that the Mi Note 10 Pro is a different smartphone. It is a mid-range device from the Chinese manufacturer but still, it comes with a top-of-the-line price and a 108 MP camera things that make it a point outside the curve, so it’s very interesting to compare it to other manufacturers' top of the line because everyone is waiting for that moment when an intermediary will owe nothing to a flagship. So will the Mi Note 10 Pro beat the Galaxy S10 Plus? Samsung's new S20 line is already around the corner, but the current South Korean device still has a lot to offer. Do you want to see the result of this battle? Continue with us here in this complete comparison on TudoCelular. com. Even though it is an intermediary, the Mi Note 10 Pro leaves nothing to be desired in finishing Like its Samsung rival, it has an aluminum body with a glass back and rounded corners.

The difference is in the screen protection, which is in Gorilla Glass 6 for the S10 Plus and 5 for the Xiaomi. In size, they are very similar, almost identical, but because they have a bigger battery, as expected from an intermediary, the Note 10 Pro ends up being a little thicker and more than 30g heavier. And the S10 Plus still stands out for having IP68 protection against water and dust, something that does not exist in the Note. For the slot each one has its cons - both are Dual SIM, but while the Note 10 Pro comes without a microSD slot that of the S10 Plus is hybrid with the second SIM. Notch, on the other hand, is a matter of taste, the solution adopted, because you are among the drop notch for Xiaomi and the double hole for the S10 Plus.

And Samsung also does better in biometrics, which is ultrasonic and is below the screen. The Note 10 Pro is also below the screen, but it is optical and, therefore, will be slower and less accurate than the other. The point goes for the S10 Plus, which, in general, had more investment for a superior finish. Next to almost any other intermediary and even some top of the line Note 10 Pro certainly brings a better quality screen but when we compare it to one of the best screens on the market, like the S10 Plus, the comparison changes. Both have practically the same size display - 6.4 "and are AMOLED - however, in the case of the S10 Plus, we have Dynamic AMOLED, which besides being better than Samsung's own Super AMOLED, increases the resolution of the Full HD + screen and, consequently, also the PPI. In the screen-to-body ratio, the S10 Plus also takes, but by about 1%, because their chin is the same but on side edges, the Samsung manages to disguise better.

In general, the colors of the S10 Plus fall more towards yellowish and are more towards blue in the case of the Mi Note 10 Pro. Both have great brightness, even in the sun, and have support for HDR10 + on Samsung and HDR10 and 100% coverage of DCI-P3 on Xiaomi. The screen of the Mi Note 10 Pro is of high quality but, in some details, the point ends up being for the S10 Plus. For audio, we started by saying that the S10 Plus is a stereo phone, while the Note 10 Pro is mono. It is also necessary to mention that the Samsung device brings AKG headphones in the box, while the Xiaomi does not come with any pair of headphones.

Both have a P2 connection and bring high-quality protocols for Bluetooth sound with the S10 Plus with aptX and Note 10 Pro with aptX-HD. The latter supports 24-bit audio and the South Korean 32-bit. The external audio of the S10 Plus is clear, has good power and the headphones that come in the box are of high quality and please even audiophiles. The Note 10 Pro has one of its weaknesses in audio, although it has a very good quality, it has low power. So the point here is also with the Galaxy S10 Plus.

In features, they get very close both Samsung's One UI and Xiaomi's MIUI are full of features and greatly modify the Android that comes underneath. Both come out of the box with Android 9 Pie and the S10 Plus is already with One UI 2 and Android 10, while the Note 10 Pro has not yet been updated - luckily the Note 10 Pro has more optimized software than its smaller brother, the Mi Note 10, and that freed him from some problems that we will see in the performance part. One advantage is that the Xiaomi smartphone has an infrared sensor many people like it and it is useful for controlling appliances such as air conditioning and TVs and there is also the presence of the FM radio. As an extra, the S10 Plus brings support for the Wi-Fi ax, so they end up drawing here. One thing that defines an intermediate cell phone is its hardware and, although here we have top of the line finishes, premium screen and powerful cameras, the Mi Note 10 Pro brings a Snapdragon 730G as a whole, which is a good gaming processor but still an intermediary.

It comes with 8 GB of RAM and a UFS 2.0 memory of 256 GB. The S10 Plus, being a top of the line, brings the most advanced processor from Samsung to Brazil - the Exynos 9820 in versions ranging from 8 GB to 12 GB of RAM and internal space of 128 GB to 1 TB, all UFS 2.1, which is a faster memory than Xiaomi. In our opening tests we did have a difference between them, but the little more than 10 seconds extras of the Mi Note 10 Pro made him not lose badly to the S10 Plus in the category difference between the two. If the Mi Note suffered from reloading apps, the generous RAM of the Pro version got rid of it. In the benchmarks, the S10 Plus is well ahead, since RAM does not impact these tests.

And if you want to have a mobile phone for games, both will perform very well since we have a top of the line and a Qualcomm G processor, which is special for "giving a boost" to gambling - however, game fps will have more stability on Samsung, so the point is expected to be at the top of the line Galaxy S10 Plus. And if it is true that manufacturers are increasingly investing in larger batteries in line tops it is also true that this is still the territory of intermediaries. While the S10 Plus brings an interesting 4100 mAh, the Note 10 Pro boasts 5260 mAh - which is a big difference. So here the Xiaomi smartphone spreads and its more than 24 hours of battery life in our standardized tests are almost 5 hours ahead of Samsung. they are almost 5 hours ahead of Samsung; even in screen time, we saw 2: 30h of extra autonomy.

And the hit continues in the recharge: the Chinese device does not bring headphones in the box, but in return, delivers a super-fast 30W charger for the Note 10 Pro causing him to recharge that huge battery in just over an hour. The S10 Plus and its 15W charger will stay on for more than two hours. And finally, the S10 Plus has not only wireless charging, but also reverse wireless charging, interesting for recharging Samsung accessories like headsets and smartwatches but also for other cell phones. In this category, the Mi Note 10 Pro has spread and gets a deserved point. How to surpass a 108 MP sensor accompanied by four other cameras? Perhaps the answer is software - the reason why this Xiaomi smartphone competes with Samsung's flagship is in that set of cameras; but do many more cameras work enough? In Note 10 Pro we have the 108 MP main wide and f / 1.7 aperture, a 2x zoom telephoto with 12 MP, another telephoto with a zoom of 5x and 5 MP, an ultra-wide of 20 MP and a macro of 2 MP. There is laser and PDAF focus and also optical stabilization.

The S10 Plus set has a 12 MP wide aperture, ranging from f / 1.5 to f / 2.4, a telephoto with 2x zoom and 12 MP, and a 16 MP ultra-wide. They bring PDAF and optical and electronic stabilizations. Well, for a good surprise here, it is possible to say that they are equivalent in the quality of photography with the rear camera. Samsung has slightly improved its catches compared to the Galaxy S9 and has maintained the good sharpness and color balance it already has in its S-series. Note 10 Pro, on the other hand, has the versatility and its extra cameras allow you to experience many photo possibilities.

Besides, with two telephotos, it brings unbeatable zoom to its price range and even to the price range of the S10 Plus. It is not much that one or the other is better at overall, and we can set a draw here. For videos, it's easier to see superiority - with the Galaxy S10 Plus bringing 4K recording at 60 fps and even with electronic stabilization in Full HD, HDR10 + and double recording. The quality is good and the stabilization is very effective. The Note 10 Pro also records in 4K but not at 60 fps and does not have as good an audio capture as the S10 Plus.

It has a few noises at night and the stabilization is quite reasonable. It stands out among middlemen, but not among the tops, so the video spot is the S10 Plus. For the front camera we have advantages on each side; while the Xiaomi phone has a 32 MP sensor and f / 2.0 aperture the S10 Plus features a 10 MP camera with an aperture of f / 1.9 and another 8 MP sensor to act in the depth and blur in Portrait Mode. But Samsung wins again because it achieves more balance and better details in its selfies, in addition to doing better at night. The extra sensor helps in self-portrait mode and the South Korean one has made face photos more natural.

The Mi Note 10 Pro is good in selfies, it also brings good quality in details, but gains a lot of noise in darker environments and when you use Portrait Mode the device disables HDR, meaning backgrounds with burst light outside. The point for the photos is also with the Galaxy S10 Plus. When it comes to pricing, which is a very important thing that gets everyone, none of these devices are the king of cost-effectiveness. The S10 Plus is expensive for being the current top of the line Samsung and the Mi Note 10 Pro is one of the most expensive middlemen ever seen from Xiaomi and all intermediate devices. The Xiaomi device has not even arrived in Brazil, because its simplest version has arrived and at a very high price R$ 5000.

The S10 Plus is not far behind and its simpler version was launched for R$ 5500. In both cases, if what you are looking for is a balance of prices and functions, we do not recommend either of them. The price should drop further in the coming months in the case of the Mi Note which, as a good intermediary, will have its price reduced. And with the arrival of the S20, the S10 Plus should also experience a drop in price. If you’re thinking of importing, the Mi Note 10 Pro is certainly cheaper, but the most complete set is with the S10 Plus.

A tie for being different and getting married at the same time. There's no way - the S10 Plus is a top of the line respect and has all the attributes to win this comparison with ease. Still, it’s cool to see that the Mi Note 10 Pro didn’t get carried away and scored in an important territory like photography in addition to having the advantage of a much larger battery. If you are looking for a complete set with a great finish, your choice should be the Galaxy S10 Plus, which won points in all comparisons except for the battery. But if you like Xiaomi and want to try the camera that should integrate the future Mi 10, in addition to having a great battery, Note 10 Pro can be a good one.

Still, you might want to check out the Mi 9 or even wait for its successor, which might be a better buy. As for the S10 Plus, waiting another month until the S20 is released and is being sold is a good tip. Do you think the Mi Note 10 Pro deserved more points? In which categories?
