Best Authentic Apple Watch Bands: Sport Band, Sport Loop, Braided Loop, Solo Loop, Leather Link

There are probably great third-party Apple Watch bands out there, but the few that I have seen I've been disappointed in so for this video I'll just focus on the authentic bands that you can find on apple. com. So, if you're looking to save some money- and you want to know about the third-party bands- you'll have to find a different video. The sport band is my go-to for running outside in hot weather, but it also looks good during the day too, it's made from a special type of rubber called fluorastomer, that's great for working out, because the sweat falls right off, and it's easy to clean. My only beef with the sport band is sometimes you can't find the perfect fit it's either a little too tight or a little too loose. For example, I'm between a size, five and a size, six, the five can feel tight, but this six is a little loose.

The sport loop was released a couple of years after the sport band. It's made from a lightweight and breathable nylon, and it straps around your wrists, then fastens with hook and loop. The sport loops are my go-to for working out, because I love that you can get a perfectly customized fit no matter what and it's so light that you usually feel like there's nothing on your wrist, but there are three downsides with the sport loop. The strength of the hook and loop gets worn down after a period of time, and I found that you can only get about 6 to 12 months out of one of these bands before the Velcro just stops sticking. If you sweat a lot, these will get soaked.

The good news is that these will dry out quickly, but I still prefer the sport band when I'm working out outside in the heat and that sweat eventually leads to your band becoming discolored, and they're, not that easy to clean the Nike sport band is made of the same material as the regular sport band, but the Nike one has a bunch of holes in it. Both sport bands feel about the same weight on the wrist, but the Nike one is a little more breathable. But overall, I think it's just a style preference. The Nike sport loop is no different from the regular sport loop, but the likes usually have two tones in the middle part of the band. The new braided loop was released this year, and I was really excited about this one, but I ended up being pretty disappointed after a month of use.

It looks good, and it's comfy, but it doesn't quite live up to apple's marketing pictures. The silver metal piece that latches in prevents the band from living up to its potential. It should be colored to match the band. Instead, I work out pretty intensely every day, but after just a month, I've already noticed some discoloration finding the right size can be tough, you'll need to go on apple. com and print out one of their sheets and find your size.

So, according to their paper sizer, I thought I was a size 7, but I probably needed a size 5. After I had already purchased mine. I discovered that the size number that you need corresponds to the hole that you use on the sport band. The size 7 fit pretty well on my wrist when I first put it on, but after a month's use it got really loose and it's so loose. Now that I can go almost all the way around my wrist and the sheet that you print out now says to size down if you're in between sizes.

But the sheet didn't say that before, but I can definitely say you should size down after just a month's use. I already have a snag in the fabric, so I can't imagine what this is going to look like in six months, and the final downside is that ninety-nine dollars for a piece of recycled yarn is just too much. I think apple priced it this way because they know there are going to be a lot of returns because there are so many sizes. It's a stupid comparison, but you can buy a piece of recycled yarn for 99, or you can buy the new HomePod mini for 99. , which one's a better value.

The new solo loop is the same concept as the braided solo loop, but it's made from silicone, but unfortunately, you'll run into a lot of the same sizing issues. I only wore one for a few days, but I found it to be uncomfortable because it would get stuck to my skin, and sometimes it would leave a red mark. It's not made out of the same rubber that the support band is its stretchy, and it's almost as sticky material, and it does not do well with sweat, and I just don't think it looks very good. But I can't figure out why the Milanese loop was my go-to band for a couple of years, it's more comfortable than it appears, and you can perfectly customize the fit and compared to some of apple's other premium watch bands. I think it's actually a good value at 99 dollars.

The downside to this band is if you're walking, and you accidentally hit something it moves a little and gets looser, but you can just easily adjust it, and the second downside is that you obviously don't want to work out in this. So that means you'll have to switch off bands every time you want to work out. The leather link band was also released this year, and it comes in four different colors. Each little notch has a magnet inside which lets you get a lot of different fits, and I found that the magnet strength is a little stronger than the Milanese loop. You can't customize a fit as much as the melodies, but it has a very satisfying snap when you connect both sides, you don't want to work out on something leather, but this is my new go to everyday band and I think it's a good value at 100 compared to the higher end bands.

I also like that the connector latch matches the color of the leather, so you can use it on any case type, the aluminum or any of the stainless steel colors, the leather buckle band comes in four different colors, and it has a stainless steel fastener. You don't want to exercise in it, but they're comfortable for the rest of the day. You can use it with any Apple Watch model, and it'll fit, but the color of the connector is silver stainless steel. So for me, I think it only looks good when it's connected to the silver stainless steel watch when you try and connect it to one of the aluminum models or even the darker stainless steel model like I have it just looks off, and the second downside is that it's 150 dollars. Well, the Milanese and the leather link band are just a hundred, and I don't think it provides an extra 50 of value.

And finally, we have the Hermes bands and the stainless steel link bands, but unfortunately I haven't tried either of these bands, and they cost three hundred dollars and up you're, probably only buying an air mess band if you're a fan of that brand and if you're a fan of that brand, you've probably already bought an air mesh band for yourself, and you're, not watching this video and for the stainless steel link. It looks cool and that's probably the best way to get your Apple Watch to look more like a traditional watch. So, to sum things up, if you just want one all-purpose band, I recommend the sport loop for 50. It's lightweight it'll, fit anybody perfectly, and you can work out in it. If you want something that looks a little better and for everyday use not for working out, I recommend the new leather link band or the stainless steel Milanese lube.

So for a hundred dollars you get something that looks good, feels good is well-made, and you can get a pretty customizable fit. So I think this video will conclude my Apple Watch Series, but if you think I can tackle something else in the Apple Watch space, I'm definitely interested in doing another video. If that's what you guys want, but you'll have to. Let me know in the comments you can also help me out with a thumbs up or a subscription thanks for watching I'm out.
