Apple Watch Series 6 vs Series 5 vs Series 4 vs Series 3 vs 2 vs 1 vs SE Battery Life DRAIN TEST

In this video, we have every single generation app watch that ever existed, and we're going to go ahead and do a battery life strain test to see which one of these apple watches truly does give us the most screen time under a single charge. Now this video was somewhat challenging to do. This was always a video that I've been trying to make for like the longest time, but it's really difficult to do this type of test on the Apple Watch, because there's no setting there's nothing. You can really adjust in the settings to allow the display to last longer than 30 seconds. Unlike the iPhone, there is no setting that you can actually enable to allow the screen auto dimness to be completely disabled, but thanks to Pok?mon, go there's weird accessories like this thing that exists now. This was the product that I went ahead and used and what it basically does.

It has like a weird material that makes contact to the screen was a weird pushing mechanism. That's supposed to represent like a tap, and everything just connects like so, and the speed rate can be controlled by this single button. So with this mechanism, I was able to place it on the display on the Apple Watch and every second. It will always continue to tap the display, so this was definitely the device that was going to help us finally answer the question on what Apple Watch really does have the best overall battery life, so the apple watches that we'll be testing out is the series 1 series, 2 series, 3 series, 4 series, 5 series 6 and the new series, s e, all of which happens to be the larger size version, so the 42 millimeter and the 44. Just the series one happens to be the 38.

More about the size differences at the end of this video. Now, unfortunately, I do have a series- 7000 aka, better known, to be named as the series zero, the first very first generation Apple Watch, but, like I stated in my other past Apple Watch, comparison videos. This series, zero just, doesn't work, and it's really challenging to find a working series. Zero Apple Watch the battery on these things, degraded so bad that it's rare to find a working one, and I have been looking online to see if I can find one used for sale, but usually the seller is asking for a ridiculous amount of money. It just isn't worth it, but that watch is discontinued and there's no support.

So this really doesn't really matter. But when performing this test, placing the sensors on the display, I made sure everything was taped on, so nothing would move. So the footage is easy to read and understandable, and I had an iPhone right next to it, with a timer and yes to keep things fair before anybody asked, I made sure every single Apple Watch had the display on max brightness, so I synchronized the clips. I let the mechanism do its thing, keeping the screen awake for several hours and the results was fascinating. Playing this simple time-lapse.

To no surprise, the series 1 was the first one to run out of juice completely as it lasted 3 hours and 13 minutes, followed by surprisingly, the series 4, the max screen time. It was able to last 4 hours and 34 minutes and then the series 2 came in third place. It only lasted 4 hours and 55 minutes. The new Apple Watch SE was the next one to go. I was only able to deliver 5 hours and 54 minutes.

The series 5 was able to last 6 hours and 20 minutes under a single charge. Then the series 6 gave out at 7 hours and 29 minutes and surprisingly, the series 3 lasted 9 hours and 12 minutes. Now after seeing these results, I was scratching my head because I was like there's no way that the series 3 has the most screen time of even the latest generation, the newest series 6. So I did some research and I found something fascinating. That makes sense on why we got these mix results.

So the series zero and the series one since this one is the 38 millimeter according to Wikipedia the maximum battery capacity. For this one is 205 William per hour. If this was a 42, it would have a slightly larger 246 million per hour capacity. The series 2 this is the 42 millimeter. It only has a 334 William hour capacity.

The series 3 has 342 William per hour. Then the series 4 has a smaller 291 million per hour capacity. The series 5 also below 300 at 296 million per hour, and then the series 6 is 303. Now, unfortunately, the new Apple Watch SC for some reason, still is left unknown, so keep an eye out in the description in case you're curious until somebody makes a tear down video, but if we put these watches stacked up to largest to the lowest battery capacity, you can see now why we got these results, as the series 3 clearly has the largest battery capacity compared to other app watches, and I know that battery life degrade also has a large major role to these results. But I could assure you all these app watches in this video were above 80, so they're still good, but this result will still give us a very accurate estimated result and then right below that the series 6 came in, so you can kind of see why the series 3 came in first place over the latest series 6.

, even though it has a really efficient, s6 chipset inside it wasn't able to outperform the larger capacity Apple Watch. That's found on the series, so the series 3 is currently the best Apple Watch that will deliver the most screen time, but this was just a random strain test that I just wanted to test out. Out of curiosity, we got some fascinating results. I know the results are going to be completely different from day-to-day use. I'm pretty confident that any of these newer Apple Watch is still able to deliver the 18-hour all-day battery life.

That apple has been constantly talking about, but hopefully in the future. I could get creative and find a weird method that I can actually replicate a wrist so that the other centers, like the heart rate sensor, the step tracking and all the daily stuff that apple watches normally do on a daily basis to get a more natural reading to find out which Apple Watch can really deliver the most battery life under a single charge. So if you have any ideas on how I could replicate like a wrist, a human wrist to perform a very similar strain battery life test with these app watches, feel free to comment down below, but as of right now, the series 3 is the one with the largest battery capacity, so it's the only Apple Watch that can deliver the most screen time among all of them. Well, there you guys have it. This was a fun video to make if you'd like to see more Apple Watch content go ahead and check out this video over here as I go through, all the awesome must known hidden features, tips and tricks that every Apple Watch owner needs to know, especially if you're on the latest version of watch live.
