In general, I've been using the Galaxy Z flip 5g for well over a month now, as my daily driver- and let me tell you this foldable has really grown on me. So today I wanted to break down the z flip and give you guys five reasons on why you should consider picking up the upcoming z flip 3. Before we dive right into it. Now, let's talk about the upcoming z-fold 3 and why you should consider picking one up if the rumors are accurate, the price of the z flip 3 is going to start at around 999. This is actually a significant move by Samsung that will alter the smartphone market. The z, flip 3, will be the first quote on quote: affordable foldable. This is a fantastic move by Samsung to test the market.

We really don't know how much interest there actually is on foldable, simply because at its current price, it's a niche device, but by dropping the price to 9.99 the average consumer now has the option to actually choose between a foldable and a regular smartphone. The next reason is the outer display one of the biggest turn-offs on the z-flip 5g was the outer display. This one-inc holed display was quite honestly useless for anything other than checking the time and maybe getting a few little snippets of your notifications. This is all about to change. On the z, flip 3.

, the z, flip 3 is rumored to offer a larger external display with the z flip 3. Now you can just reply to messages. Checker notifications and even open a few apps without ever having to open your device. This makes the z flip 3 a much more enticing option simply because of the convenient another welcome change is that there are strong rumors that indicate that z, flip 3 will have a more durable design. That's also water resistant with the original z-flip.

You had to be extra cautious around water. I don't know how Samsung did it, but bringing an IP rating to a foldable is actually very impressive. In my books, it's unfathomable just how ahead of the game Samsung is in terms of innovation, yet they don't really get the attention and the respect that they deserve. In my opinion, I'm curious to see how Samsung improves the overall durability of the z-flip 3, because I found the hinge on the z-flip 5g to be quite durable, even after thousands of times of opening and closing the flip. The hinge still feels sturdy and provides a good amount of resistance.

When opening and closing this thing with the z-flip there's a unique mode called flex mode, flex mode is one of the main reasons to go out and get yourself a flip. There are multiple ways you can use the z flip in flex mode. You can use flex mode for taking selfies at the perfect angle. You can use flex mode for setting your phone down on a table and getting that perfect viewing angle. When watching a video, you can also use it for true multitasking, simultaneously running two apps at once.

My favorite go-to combo is WhatsApp or Twitter at the bottom, while watching my favorite YouTuber on top rumors are also indicating that there will be more apps that take advantage of flex mode on the z-flip 3, which is always great to hear. Finally, let's not forget what makes the z-flip unique in its own right, and that is the form factor. This is such a unique device and there is no other device on the market that can unfold vertically to showcase a massive 6.7 inch display, like the z flip kin in its own right, it's sort of a transformer when folded in its compact form factor. This is an ultraportable device. It's very convenient to take this phone with you in your pocket in a fanny pack or even a purse for the one percent of females that actually watch my videos.

So major shout out to you guys, a negative that I'm not really a big fan of is the 21x9 display, simply because it does make this phone quite tall reaching the top of this display, with one hand, is quite impossible, so you do need two hands to handle this device when unfolded when you're watching videos, you do get sizeable black bars on either end of the display, and when you try to zoom in on the video, a good portion of the video does get cut off. There is really no solution to this unless everyone starts rolling out content in a 21, 9 aspect ratios- and we all know- that's not going to happen anytime soon. So those were my five reasons on why you should consider buying the z flip three now believe it or not. Samsung is in a huge predicament. They are under a ton of pressure to sell foldable and make the market mainstream sales of the s21.

Lineup haven't been too hot. So if the z flip fails, this may be it for the lineup. Cutting the price down to 9.99 is going to be a huge factor in the sales for the z, flip 3. We're going to find out if the average consumer actually prefers a flip phone over a rectangular slab of glass. It's going to be sad if this market does not perform as expected for Samsung and quite honestly, us as tech enthusiasts.

If, for some reason this form factor fails, this gives other companies an incentive to play it safe and not innovate. We won't be seeing competition in this market and inevitably that'll, be the demise of flip and foldable phones, which is such a shame really. But here's to hoping that this market does succeed and other companies, like apple, will have to push out foldable phones, I'll leave you guys, with my z, flip 5g long-term review.
